We all heard a few months ago that Korea was geting Ct1 PTS, that was all great and everything.
But as anyone heard anything else since, like are they abot done or what?
seams its kinda taking a while to get out PTS started. Keep in mind i know this patch is huge, so just curious to see if anyone heard anything else?
CT1 is live in Korea for a while now and CT1 PTS has already been announced to come in NA in November with a live date of December at one of those meet & greetz NC Soft NA has held recently..
I play on korean servers and the one thing i can tell you is the new UI will be a a huge change in the game, looks very nice but also has a extremely fresh feel to it, and of course improved functionality

ooooo, you're playing korean ct1 pts? Tell us more!
How are the new DoT's like? How do critical resistance armor passives work? What exactly is the "disarm" property on some of the new attacks?

Unfortunatly I did'nt get on pts but CT1 has been on live servers there for over a month I can tell you dots LAND alot more even with boss jewel resistance (as well as the resistances on boss jewels now being split 50/50 between a resistance and a probobility)
The kamael classes are very interesting for example the initial impression of a soulbreaker is that he has the attack speed of a tyrant the crits of a dagger and the regular swing damage of a longsword user.
Also it appears drop tables on Dama's and dama' recs were not changed so if your holding out like alot of my friends thinking that, your out of luck.
I am still compiling alot of info, i am pretty new to there servers but i can tell you this much, the environment is amazing, the people are great, its COMPLETELY different from NA servers it's truely what L2 was meant to be.
ps- as for pvp theres alot on the server i am on, gotta love impromptu 100v100's during clan wars :p
I hope the UI isn't too radically different. What we have now works well. It needs a few enhancements but a wholesale change could well be detrimental. A UI change on my last game was one of the reasons I gave up. After playing for years, the last thing you need is a complete change.
All drastic UI changes should be user selectable. Microsoft are good in this respect. They bring out new Windows UI but always give the option to revert to "Classic". I always have the classic view.
The few pics I've seen of the new UI make me a bit worried. I want enhancements not hinderances.

I wasn't a great fan of the new interface the first time i saw it, for one i hated the new mini map. But after messing with it it's quite nice, the tabbing system in the main status/quest/clan window has been pulled appart in to seperate windows now so it's a little easier to see several things at once, and the general apperance of the UI is quite ploished. I still dont like the mini-map but i'll get used to it ^^
I can remember when the world went from DOS to Windows, those were dark days. Everyone had to learn new stuff and they even added 16 colors to our monitors at the same time. We should never change anything, some of the old farts (me included) can't handle all these fancy computer enhancements, let alone a new GUI.
CT1 has been live in Korean servers for a few months now.
The new UI looks good and fresh at first, but upon closer inspection it's not that spectacular :p
The thing I don't really like about the UI is how there's now 6 buttons on the bottom-right instead of 3. You'd think those 3 new buttons would serve a purpose right? Nope, all they do is use existing tabs from our current status screen... just in CT1 they can be opened from your UI at any time without opening status screen first.
It just feels kinda unnecessary and a filling of screen space  but w/e.
CT1 itself is pretty fun to play. Alot of things get changed and Kamaels are a fun race. The new top items are very rare though, so don't hold your breath too much ^^
Don't be an idiot. There usually MORE people online ALL the time in Korea...when some people are going to sleep others are just waking up...I work nights so I play during the day...its not impossible that some of the Koreans would do the same! Also the number of Korean players FAR outweighs the number of bots on any given server. If for every 1 bot (24/7) there are 2-3 Korean players then you still get the same amount of materials and at least there's someone to talk to. Even if everyone in L2 on the US servers ran a full bot party I'm not sure that there would be as many active accounts as there are in Korea.....
