Quest Item Drops

Hi!

I have some questions concerning quest item drops. Would be glad if you enlightened me:

1. Same Monster drops items for 2 quests. Do this quests interfere in terms of item probability? Do I need to kill twice as many mobs to do both quests?
2. Does quest item drop depend on monster level compared to mine? Can I get sweet fluid for fishing shots from low level mobs?
3. Do event items like medals drop from all mobs (even low level)? Or do I have to kill only green/white mobs.

Thank you for your explanations.
1. No, there has been some speculation that quests like the fishing shots quest might sometimes interfere with quests. Though I've not seen that happen really, I think its more of a perception problem than anything nowadays.

2. For any quests we've tried, you can get the quest items at any level. So yes, you should be able to get sweet fluid from low level mobs.

3. Yes. Though I am uncertain wether they drop once they become blue to you.
Seems to depend on the quest sometimes. I've had some quests where the mob will drop questitem1 and questitem2 at the same time for a single mob death. And some quests seem to drop questitem1 or 2, not both at the same time.

You should be able to get quest items no matter what the mob level. I did a level 45 quests at level 76 and got the items 100%.

Yes, though like regular drops its super rare on dark blue mobs, for example.

I'll bow to your expertice, you're the quest queen :)
Mobs dont normally drop 2 diff quest items no, but there are a few quests that do but not many. Red gem quest and Snake skin quest in seal of shillen is the only 1 i rember.
Red Gem quest, fishing quest, and maybe infernium ore seem to combine with other quest. However, the fishing shot quest did seem to interfere with the drop rate of some quests in VoS, so I aborted the fishing shot quest for a while. This probably happens with some other quests also.

Yep that's exactly the one I noticed it on too. I could get a snake skin and red gems at the same time from 1 mob death, but inf ore and red gems was one or the other, not both.

i guarantee certain quests interfere with others (at least they did when i checked a few months back)

i was doing one of the HS quests with the fishing shot quest active and it took an average of 4-5 hours to finish it
the second i turned off the fishing shot quest i had it down to 40 mins - 1 hour tops

the red gem quest and SI ore quest at blazing do not interfere with each other
i went from getting 300 SI ore a day to getting 300 si ore a day with the red gem quest active

i think as a general rule if you can't get both quest items at once then you should consider dropping the lesser quest (if the drop rate and reward warrants it)

I Havent seen inf ore and red gem drop from same mob either.
Thank you all for answers. Now offtopic question: is fishing worth the time spent on it? Or should I better go manoring? What is in demand (scales, POF)? Shadow weapons disappear, want C duals...
There are two quests in the School of Dark Arts that require bones off the same mob. They sometimes drop for either and, if I remember rightly, sometimes at the same time.

I tried to noob Lector wolf pelt quest on my 54 Glad. As a noob, every kill gains a pelt. On my Glad, the success rate drops to more like 60%-70%.
If you are at high levels, on many servers, if not all, you will have a lot of trouble turning in fruits for rewards in the manor system. So although I haven't actually tried fishing, I think it might work better at high levels. However, I suspect, again unproven, that fishing doesn't get you much on low population servers. Many of the uses for fish parts seem to be in recs for fancy hats, eye patches. whatever, and I am doubtful if there is enough demand for these sort of things on low population servers to generate much income from fishing. Maybe somebody can confirm or deny this from experience.
POCF Is around 250-300a on kain, its worth doing. Also night fishing for coloured scales is good source of income. Rec u get from CH so wont get the ones worth the money. As for the manor system from personal experiance isnt worth it, bots rule the manor system pretty much. Depends on ure server tho maybe.
According to the official FAQ the rate of drops is reduced for lesser and for stronger mobs then you. So it is quite normal to get less drops from lower mobs when you level up.

I Havent seen inf ore and red gem drop from same mob either.

Yep, that's why I dropped inf ore when I went to DC because I noticed the same thing. Wonder why it's like that on some and not others.

they do at bs from the doom knight things or maybe the overlords or maybe both ><
