Scammers on your server driving away fresh blood? Did you get nailed when you were tired, distracted, in a rush? Information is always your best defense... and offense against scammer tactics that can ruin the gaming experience for players new and old (especially we elderly folks).
EllieBelly had written a great post called Common Scams (http://boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=533688) which is recommended reading for anyone playing this game. This details the many types of scams players run at the expense of their fellow gamers.
In addition to listing the types of scams which are present and how to avoid them, another defense against scammers is spotting them and making your fellow players aware of their presence.
:+:WoJ:+: had at one point, a gallery sub-category which contained scammers, but the list was outdated and we've since removed our gallery. We are starting fresh with a listing of the scammers we find on Sieghardt server in our travels. To veiw the scammers Click Here (http://www.arktic.net/wrath/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=109)
We invite players from any server to add to our list of scammers to avoid and spread the word about. If you will take screenshots that consist of the toon name, the actual scam (picture of the shots selling for more than advertised, the red-gem, scam etc) and any details you feel are not evident in the screenshot, we'll add them to our Scammer listing.
Otherwise please feel free to use the list as a resource for keeping you and your friends aware of who is out for your stuff!
Thanks!
