I was taking a break, selling some random stuff i picked up. So this guy comes up and buys my stuff then open a trade window. I put up the rest of my stuvv, like 2 varnish some animal skin and another thing i forgot and he puts up 300k!!
I wait a few sec after he hits accept then grab the money.
lol 300k.... now you can buy yourself a NG weapon!
i'm going to keep that thing for all the alts i'm ever going to level.
if i give you 400k will you make a thread about me too?
you will need that money for any D grade item you intend on purchasing.

Good plan.

If the OP is a brand new player, that is a nice start for him. Why bash him/her over this?
i've done similar before
if i ever see a shop selling NG key mats for a reasonable price i always buy them
i figure thats what happened to the o.p
If ur new people are often more generous - good for u I hope u get lots of pple to help u :)
It just happened again. Someone gave me 1 mil. 500k for not having a main and 500k for beeing canadian.

Now i have 1.2 mil to spend on d grade weapon, how should i do this? I checked the site's weapon listing and i see much better stuff than the store i'm at. Also would player sell crafted stuff somewhere?
I like this elven sword but i don't know how to get it and how much it's worth, any help?
Are you referring to the Elven Long Sword? Or a ng weapon? NG weapons, you just buy in the weapons shops in the starter villages.
If you're talking about the D grade weapon, the weapons "store" in Rune has lots of D grade weapons for (I'm told) better prices than the one in Giran. However, I think the top weapon of each type in D grade has to be crafted, and this might include the Eleven Long Sword. If so, you will have to buy it from a player.
One other option - if you're talking about a ng weapon, the weapons shops will allow certain exchanges to upgrade weapons.
I'll check that shop, it's not the longsword, it's plain elven sword, 64 p atk. Doesnt have a lil book next to it which makes me think it's from a shop. Long walk tho. (d grade)
grats on witnessing a random act of generosity ;)

There's enough of every other kind of act, it's good to see this kind too.
A while back, I ran into someone in the Dark Elven Village. Now, being a Role-player, I engaged him in conversation. Gave him some buffs, talked to him for a bit (he even role-played back!).

That player walked away 500k richer.

thats completely dependent on server and tax rates
the tax rate calculator in general discussion will tell you what town is the cheapest to buy stuff from but not all weapons are available in all towns

elven sword is buyable from giran
if you happen to want a elven long sword which is top D you would need a second top D weapon which you upgrade at mammon
Or buy from other player, they go 3-3.2 mil Adena.
which is prolly a rip off
yeah buy it from lowest-taxed town for 1.6-1.7 mil and buy Green Sealstones overnight during seal competition period. You can get it for 2.5-2.8 mil max depending on current GSS price, even cheaper.
i heard one server has AA at 5:1
if thats true then 3 mil is starting to look pretty good tbh
Well, with those AA prices, I dont think there's anyone selling em at 3mil. Most of them are produced with mammon to begin with ^^
question: how come a player with 100+ posts in forum doesn't know anything about ng and D equipment ?

oh, and the best way to give adena to new players is to make them earn it :)
shout something like "first to come to north gate gets 500k"
(hah, the world of l2 cranks me up at times like this)
i 'm just evil

you had me worried for a second
turns out it's just some guy who likes to ask heaps of questions
nothing wrong with that imo
I can log in to the boards from work.

I could post 100 times in one day.

Anythings better then working.

On the side, if I see a sell shop in newer areas and the person looks remotely legit, I buy the stuff and then drop it in front of them.

But thats only if they look like they are trying to upgrade.

I even helped out a person recently that had "starting new in Gustin" in there shop.

Bout some arrows at a very high, but not ridiculous price.

I will take a chanve on getting fleeced when it comes to the newer players.

Whats the harm anyway?
It's hard to work out true noobs sometimes but it's always nice to help them when you know they really are. I happened to on TI one day when a couple of newbies ran past. Once asked me some random question, armor or weapons I think because I was on my EE (C grade at the time) and then a couple more questions that gave away they were new. I got them to follow me to the weapons shop and kitted them both out with top NG to get them started and gave them some pots and stuff I was carrying. The nice thing is to someone who's been in game ages, what adds up to less than a mil isn't loads to give away but to a new person who's earning cash slowly it can make a big difference.

One thing I've noticed recently is there are quite a few new people around - true newbies too not re-rolls or souless.

And 100+ posts is nothing for strange questions. I've got loads of posts and been in game 18 months and I still ask odd questions. It's usually when something I've never come across or thought about before comes up :D

Yeah Hinde barely goes under 3a/AA, on gustin I was able to get GSS for 7a week or two ago.
yeah gustin GSS went from 6a to 9a in 3 days
I can totally understand how 1 mil makes all the difference in low lvls, but sometimes they are just scamers, the other day a dark elf pm me in giran asking me adena to go back to his starting village,
-plz man, I want adena .
-what for?
-I want to tele to elven village, I can’t go back. Plz man
-dude, you’re a dark elf, why you want to go to elven village?
-ups
Ps. play it smart people
He can make quest at Luxury Shop seller to get back anyway.
I hate those types running around Monster Track sayng or PMing "I am new adena plixxx" to everyone :(
I often tell those ones "Learn to spell." And then port out and /block them if they're PMing.
I joined a clan and the guy bought me the brigade chest and legs. Got me demon ears and 200k too. The person that recruited me gave me the shield. Now i feel bad because i feel i don't deserve all those things and i feel like i'm cheating.

The elven sword with a patk of 64 is very definately a d-grade weapon (I don't recall that as the patk but if you say it is-that sounds about right).
I think the bastard sword is about 52 (which was my first d-grade sword) and I know the clean ELS is 92.

The shadow weapons you get for class change will last you for quite awhile. Certainly into the low-mid 30's those weapons are potent enough to let you level FOR FREE.

I haven't tried to use on at 38-39 but it would seem they might start to get a bit weak at some point.

Gratz on your helpful benefactor. Although no one gave me adena or gear, I owe my staying with L2 to a number of people who were just nice and answered my stupid questions, or who buffed me a few times, or who gave me a tip for better quests or hunting zones.

Good luck on playing :)
haha

Not at all. It is normal for a clan to help out their members (remember this and give them some loyalty, you'll be remembered for it in the long run) and it's usually up to the members or clan leader how much help you are given.

First clan I was in gave me +10 duels to use throughout D grade and loaned me armor, made a huge difference to me and in return I helped the rest of the clan where I could (help them to level, quests, mats etc).

Nice one !
Its generosity like this that keeps new players enthralled with the game and keeps them playing.
I was on TI and was gifted a crimson sword. This was amazing and helped me big time.
Its a good idea to keep the stuff for future characters. I still have my noob items and use them on alts.
There's no reason to feel guilty having received the bonus sale and then joining a clan who then give you some useful items. Thats the generosity of Lineage 2 and long may it continue. When you're running around in B or A grade you'll come across some poor sap in wooden armour and do the same.
Was this on Hinde ?
sux
but it rox
cant let the party of people around you have soemthing.

thats a crazy amount of adena all going into your own pocket. what makes you think a) the people around you dont care/dont want, or b) are going to keep "protecting" you while you solo bosses for more and more adena?

oh, sorry, forgot how erica is dead, so there isnt much point to keeping watch for wartags. they were just there for moral support.
they were there cause I was doing th subclass bosses for them. they stood there, watched and clicked the boss.
I NEVER give anything to those that ask (unless its something like a soe). There is nothing more irritating to me than someone begging for money or equipment. The ones that never ask for anything are the ones most likely to get something from me.
lol VS on a destro with zariche
that might give you an extra .001% damage :P
