Gladiator Sonic Charge

Howdy folks !

Ok firstly i have indeed re-rolled after a couple years playing a dagger to a gladiator. Its a very nice class to play and im happy with my desicion :)

Anyway i have a question about sonic focus. Never played this class before so im learning :P
I would like to know if the more i charge up my sonic the more powerfull my TSS would be ?
Another example.. atm i have charge level 5 so would my sonic blaster for instance be more powerfull if i had my charge at level 5 then say level 2 ?

I have some people saying yes it does and other saying it doesnt. Hope you can understand what im trying to say :P

Buck
yes it does
excelant, thanks for the responce
Just to confirm what Nanashi said, the more charges you have over the minimum requirement the more damage your sonic skills will do. The real fun is learning which combo's are most effective, by chaining skills together, for the most damage with the least charges.

Here's a tip, if you're going to be using skills use the aoe version of it before using the main skill since the AoE skills such as Storm and Buster do not consume charges even though they require a charge to be usable (I think they are still like that), they only consume energy stones.

for example if you were in range to use TSS you use the close range AoE skill, I can't remember if it's storm or buster atm. You'll get more damage in with your max possible charge then you can unlease TSS. Same goes for if you are using Sonic Blaster, get up to max charge and use the ranged AoE skill followed by Blaster to maximize damage. I've even seen Gladi's in range for TSS use both AoE skills and then TSS followed by DSS to maximize damage from skills available. If those skills crit then the damage can be quite insane.

Yes you got the right idea, this is how they work. Its an overcharge system.

And now that we're actually speaking of these sonic charges does anyone know the exact %'s every charge adds to its power when its above the min requirement for the skill in question? the table should be the same for every skill i suppose but lets use blaster as example since its the easiest. When you use Sonic Blaster. At 2 charges you have 0% extra dmg above normal. Whats it like 1 charge above min? 2,3,4,5 charges above min? 15% extra per charge? Does anyone have this info accessible? i havent had the time to experiment with this myself >.<

yes i do. i have my reasons for not posting it yet. just to give u a hint, overcharge seized to exist since interlude went live.

this is outdated and is not accurate anymore. trust me. interlude changed both charge system and ss effect on specials.

i will post how damage is calculated in interlude when i think its time

Uh..

The numbers are still exactly the same , but w/e ;)

Nice ! i tried what you said and it works very nice :) thanks

This class just got evan more fun to play :)

seriously?
Well, you made me dig out my glad and buy some cheap [censored] duals (Beware 107's baby!...) and try, and the math is still sound.

There is a slight variable that you cant account for as Diego said, but... it all looked correct to me.

Unless it breaks after A/S duals, which could be I guess, but I'd be shocked.
point is equation has changed significantly and overcharge system doesnt exist anymore. so old way of calculating damage is not accurate anymore, if u want to be able to calculate damage with less than 1% error u cant use it.

Thus why the post included no overcharges...duh?
