I also know of some melee classes (not Titans) beeing able to solo in Forge of Gods where normally 9man parties go. They use a similar setup as the above Saggitarius and make exactly the same exp.

if I have a REALLY top party (80 ee in it) I can get about .5% an hour at 79 in dark room, in a full party with no oop.
I don't really know how you do that but grats!! I bet alot of people would like that group.
That's 12%/day (24 hours).
The most I've seen someone do so far is 10%/day (24 hours(solo)).
My 7%/day is based on 16 hours of exping, so in 24hrs it might be close to the same.
So, the pattern seems to be no matter how hard you exp, you'll always be stuck at ~10%/day at 79? :)
Hm my extreme PVE?
Duoing small room in NoS, just my PK and Orc (Shammy), Me with D clan armor and Swoird of Revolution, Orc in some cheapest D robes with Viper's fang. Not using shots, only in "oh sh*t" situiations. It sux to have no high level OOP buffer, but it was slow, tedious and sometimes fun when I was about to die :)
But I am patient.
My personal best is getting noble; wanted it fast badly since ES hero was unchallenged/nontaken at that time. Went from 73 HE sub friday to 75 HE sub sundaynight (err mondaymorning) - XP-ed nonstop, no sleep and only toilet/pizza break :p GOt a 9-5 job on weekdays so I was dead tired the whole week - but reached noble!
Also was amused by people that kept checking on me and asking stuff like "dont die dude", because of what happened in Korea (gamed to death). Made sure I drank and ate enough, just the lack of sleep is hard. After a while you get a tunnel-vision and the game starts to be weird in your mind, heh. I'll never do that again, ugh. Uber XP there though; crit = onehit dead mob, 13k XP, no need to move.
Not if your a nuker - need the SE for recharges and that means leveling with the SE.
Biotox's SE, for e.g, will stop recharging him well next level I think. (72 recharge for 78 char doesn't work well if I remember correctly)

As a Fortune Seeker I can make 0.33/hour for a full party in Darkness room at 79. But I can solo the spot with everything oop so I let you guess the xp I can do solo.
I know a daguer wich make 0.7/hour in duo and I will not speak about my destro friend that s too much insane.
Everyone's going so high level.. a single WS/BH poling in a cat on green/light blue mobs can take 3 rooms at a time (if you can get them) and exp so fast. I managed to get 2 dwarves, an SE and a bishop from low to high 40's in no time at all. Around a week playing 2-3 hours per day.

lol I solo'd my WS 45-49 in like 4 hours, but I took breaks so I think it was like 7 hours to actually get to 49. Something silly like that.
My Best XP on my main is: 2 destro's, and my self, oop PP (78) /SE (58+), and dancing buff bots. In ToI I was getting about 10% a buff around...crazy fast XP this was like lvl 63 or something.

Are they doing anything about the difficulty of leveling past 79? I heard a rumor (albeit a rumor) that they were going to add mobs to help or change the xp curve.
mine would be back before, ghp's and a grade gear :P right after everyone quit hunting cruma tower c3 i believe it was but cant remember for sure, lvl 45 WL, 45 EE and a 32 SO doing aoe in CT we were only ones on 1st floor, a high lvl sws trained every snipe/catherok in the first floor on us, and we survived. that would have to be my most extreme pve experience :P lol the sws was so supprised we lived they did it 4 more times for us i think we all got a full level out of it in the end.
What SE mains? Those who have rerolled? Those who play their sub 10x more than their main? Or those few ones who are still trying to trudge along on a dead class?
NCSoft has pretty much made SE into a BOX class. With the VR nerf, they wont be even that to some classes.
Maybe you don't know any live SEs but I know plenty of them and they are all live players enjoying their class.

Yes, a few people do like playing support classes. And a live SE is actually a good fit for a small party of mixed class types, since they have a few good buffs for both nukers and fighters, and they can do some healing and some crowd control.

not much except in a mage xp party?
PoWind is best used on GLads/tyrants/daggers/lowbie summoners, as is recharge. Empower has become the only useful thing an SE can provide to a mage.
the problem with se's is that they lack matching skills. they have a prophecy that is only good for daggers (pof is better for glads and stuff), they have empower for mages but no prophecy, they have vr yes, but no haste or holy weapon, no unholy resist or divine protection..
they're just all mismatched. You cannot use an SE and 1 other buffer. you need 2 other buffers. EE/DC work as 2, EE/Prophet work as 2...

There is a problem with that line of thinking.
Yes, SEs do fine when mobs are severely gimped, don't use Soulshots, don't buff themselves with Chant of Victory, don't nuke you for 500+ (2k+ Crit) in A jewels, and don't use skills.
This doesn't happen until later levels. They are find in 4x - 5x, but in latter 6x alot of things become a problem.
The problem with that line of thought is that the SE doesn't just stay/stagnate at lower levels "where it is fine" and those lower levels go so fast for a reasonably active player that it is non-factor. When leveling becomes rather tough for a support class [6x levels], SEs really start to suffer from their class design issues.
Everyone levels up and as the SE levels up it's usefulness goes down further and further. A level 74 SE heals for less than the amount of damage a Stakato Nest mob does with 1 nuke on me - with Greater Heal.
Also, finding a group with a *Nuker* a *Dwarf* and a *DD* would be the most unfotrunate coincidence for an SE. The nuker would just take the SE to VoS while the Dwarf and DD find a prophet to go level.

Almost 30% in a day at 78 for an archer soloing sucks? Not too sure about that. Some people I know struggle for days to make 5%.

Supposedly they are making it "harder" to level from 75(76?)-80. Not sure what they mean by "harder". It could just be that their referring to no more "78-80 in 7 days" Titan groups in fog.
No grade armor and weapon at lev25.
No out of party buffer.

Realizing this game is not for me, priceless.
I usually advice new players to hunt mobs untill they make 30-50k adena. Then, do the lv3 quest to visit Giran, port to Aden, Rune, Forest of the Dead or Valley of Saints, and well... pick up all the adena fields left behind by nukers who are in a bit of a hurry. The newbie protection buff will even prevent them from getting PKd. Doing this for a few hours they will have more than enough adena to buy top NG and SS/bsps to spam all the way untill class change! :)

The best thing of SE is you can squize it in any kind of party coz it has buffs for any class in game, heals are only problem in bigger pvp or whan you choose spot you cant handle, but most of all if you want to xp for several hours you will sooner or later run out of mp and there are only 2 classes that can recharge, bouth can recharge oop, buff oop, but wait… basically we can box any char in this game so tell me why do we bother at the end to make partys whan all can box theyr [censored] up???

no, it's easy to survive there (you can stand in the middle and not have any mobs spawn remotely near you), hard to get excellent xp/hour

Their are people who play L2 for "fun" and their are people who play L2 to be "the best". Whatever anyone tells you, "fun" and "best" do not mix. Maybe they do in IRL sports and such, but so far not in L2.
Anyone who's lvld multiple characters to 78+ will tell you that they do not hunt in 9man casual parties anymore. Even if it's "fun" to be around people to chat with and have some unexpected situations, you will soon realize that the fun from that social interaction will never make you lv78/78/78/78. It will never make you a permanent hero. And you will never be able to keep up with the growing need for max level skills for your clan. So, you will start boxing characters out of group and start relying more and more on solo/duo/trio exp and "xp/hour/24hours" becomes the only thing that really matters when you go kill mobs.
Not everyone is able to constantly play to be "the best" though. And I don't blame them :eek: it would actually be alot better if NCsoft would implement some new and refreshing activities ingame, that are both accessible, fun AND useful/rewarding at the same time (and definitely do not require 1000 mobs to be killed!). I'm sure both the players who play L2 for "fun" and those who play to be "the best" would love something like that.
Maybe that new circus island(?) in CT1 will provide some of that :)

its just you scream lf buffer/healer, you cant find, you make own buffer/healer, you box him first whan you cant find live one than you end by boxing him also whan you see live buffer/healer lfp, coz theres no reason for you to inv live one, coz that would meen for you less xp... so after that tell me why 50% of buffers/healers reroll and the problem you cant find live one remains...
i came accross people that wasnt in party before, just boxed till 70+ and after they come to full xp party its was dissaster, or also people that party only for pvp is mostly also dissaster

Yes. This is something I am well aware of and will fix. My StS and SE level together in a duo to keep the recharge at 100%. I need to get my SE to level 74 so that recharge will work at 100% from 78 all the way to 80 (which I don't intend to do by the way). I will likely stop leveling my StS at 78 and my SE at 74 (only 70% to go :D).
