Suggestions For C Grade DA Weapon

Hi All,
Finally got my DA to lvl 40... I have been looking on various sites, but cannot work out which weapon I should be looking to purchase. I have a nicely +'ed Elven Sword (D) which should see be right for a couple of levels.

I was hoping that experienced DA's could advise me on which weapon to get? I was thinking that getting a Sword with Health SA might work, but then they seem to have low p.Attk compared to something like a Katana (with Focus SA, I presume). An alternative would be to get a Yaksa Mace with Health SA, but am I getting confused with being a Dwarf :-)

Any help that you can give me would be appreciated.

I used a Samurai Long Sword with Focus. I really don't see any reason to go with the Health SA unless you are doing a lot of Raid Boss Groups.

samurai longsword /focus i think would suit you best for pve... focus>all in pve

I would agree use SLS with focus and best shield your money can afford.

You can also pt with AoE clannies until 52+. Just get a polearm (orcish poleaxe with crit stun is an awesome option).

I would suggest getting a tattoo of +4 dex -4 Con. You will love the added run speed and increase in Crit Rate and Attack Speed.

I'd suggest + 4 STR -4 CON as well, you do more damage and with focus sword you crit more making it easier to hold aggro in normal PvE situations.

When it comes to tanking RBs with this setup it shouldn't be such a big deal, we have a 76+ SK in ally that has -9 CON and tanks high level RBs wthiout problems, but he's crazy :P

Tanks with -con into the double digits might work, but from experience they are also the ones who cry fastest when they get 3shot by vortex crits. It all depends on what you want and how you set yourself up though.

So just to check the general concensus is SLS with Focus (for crits). Then either +4DEX -4CON or + 4STR -4CON? I am not too keen on the -8CON so would it be worth going for watered down +/-2 Dyes?

Nope. Go +4STR first.

I tried both tat setups. I tried +4 Dex alone, +4 Str alone and +4 Dex and +4 Str together. The DPS is best obviously with the +4 in both categories. However, about lvl 52 you are going to start to fight stunning mobs and the loss of con is very noticeable. The best DPS set up is +4 Dex with the Focus wep because of the additional crit rate and swing speed. At level 52 +4 Str only adds about 15-22 pts damage on an eqaul level mob. If it takes 5 hits to kill it that is only 75-110 pts damage. Now, with the dex tat you significantly increase that damage output with approx one more swing and about 2 additional crits which equal more than the 110 damage, especially with the focus wep.

as a DA ur a tank, think like a tank not a DD. u always want more can, idk why you would even think about going -4 con

I suggest u to use SLS/crit dmg/ more best then focus or yaksa mace anger:) or some weapon/health/ is also good but whith blunt you will make 9-13% more dmg than sword:)

Uhh, wth? More damage with a blunt? Since when? Blunts are the worst DPS weapon in the game, thanks to low crit rate.

On a lvl 40 DA, with no buffs and no tattoos, a yaksa Anger will only generate 2.2 DPS more than a SLS Focus, which on the other hand has more DPS than SLS Crit Damage. Then again, Anger SA lowers your HP and in the long run, with buffs, the Yaksa will lose in DPS to the SLS.

2.2 DPS is hardly 9-13% more damage...

Ok... my DA is 41 and what I read in this thread only confused me... Gonna stick to what I think is right and I think that is the best choice for you too ;)

Im not sure about SLS. What if you use weaker weapon at the start of 40 and then go for top B sword. I know its harder way but i think its some how better. You can also start with lov B. Its not better then SLS but takes only 1 SS witch weith is leser then 3 SSC. You can xp more.

He's a Tank he can hold 10k or more ss any way


Get SLS with Focus

Don't have the money then hunt in the catta and get AA. As you lvl and get AA you can upgrade your weapon.
Before you know it you will have a SLS.

What about mass farming? You got for a lot of time with party to catas and to be onest you use your ss in 1 hour. BSS are lighter and you use only 1 per hit.
In my opinion if you xp hard and dont want to take breakes use lov B.
