What is the best setup for a prophet (A-grade) if used essentially as a boxed buffer that does touch-up heals, occassional emmergency heals and occassional rooting?
At present Avadon Robes, [censored] with Accumen + Crystal Staff with Mana Up.
-4 Str +4 Con (for weight limit and to be a bit more servicable when taking damage)
+4 Wit -4men (for casting speed, but not sure if that is best)
Would there be any noticable benefits from upgrading this?
I like +dex on mages. But since it's boxed, that may not be necessary, unless its slow running speed is bugging you. If dex isn't your thing, one more wit perhaps. And of course blue wolf is nice, but avadon is fine, if you were gonna spend your money elsewhere :eek:
I just use Karmian and mana up staff. I have mysterious sword with acumen but find I don't really use it as I prefer to have the extra MP.
I don't have any tats currently. I'm planning on +5 wit. I guess -5 int since I don't really use any magic skills anymore :P. Prefer not to touch men.
You can throw on any combat oriented +4 -5 tat you like. Generally people do -5 str +4 con or dex for extra survivability or extra run speed respectively.
Oh okay ^^ then I guess -men would be the only do-able option. That kinda sucks. But good to know before I tried to use it on a prophet lol. Thanks for the money saving ;^^.
We had an afk (could have been boxed) prophet in our group recently. Things went bad - our room got trained and the PP went down and all BSOE'd. So much for the emergency heals.... He came back 5 minutes later to realize he was dead...

If you find him running too slow when you're on archer/dagger, go -4/5 (cheap dyes from npc shop) str and +4 dex. I think +4 wit is enough for cast speed. But if you want him/her to cast faster, do auto bsps :p
Well the claim that Boxed Prophets are bad coming from actively played prophets often are a performative contradiction!
It's rare to see an active one and it's even rarer to see one that actually plays a prophet to its full potential.
But this raises an interesting arguement about boxing in general: when does a second account open at the same time become defined as 'boxed'?
A) When it buffs every 20min then sit the rest of the time or just is dragged behind.. (boxed?)
B) When the player operating both has a 'main' and 'other'.. (boxed?)
C)When the player switches between open accounts performing active skills and/or actions on each consistantly throughout the course of playing (boxed?)
D) When the Player sits in town just buffing others ( but is a main ) (boxed?)
E) When the Player sits in town just buffing others ( but is a secondary character ) (boxed?)
I HAD, STILL HAVE A VERY AWSOME PROPHET.. HE LED MidNightExpres clan to lvl 5 .. as a prophet with 23 peeps.
"BOX" him will not happen. He sits. Sleep"nerf" put him on the back burner..
Many may know i used to play solo in the cats with him until the "NERF"..
Well played/equiped PP is awsome in combat. from what I read the reason for the nerf is they owned in arena/OLY..
So to box your prophet is an in-just to is capability.....
But if you Want to box a toon better off using SE, Just buy haste pots. All the other BUFFS are the same
Beside other than Haste,BTB,BTS all of these can be had by Either weapon/Armor/ scrolls/pots.. Plus PP mana use sucks IMO,, granted I havent played him past current lvl ..63.
So if you realy want use PP as BUFF Pet ,Get a Set of composite armor< weight increase/ set B/W robes< mana.. / Homu(acume). Use robes to buff.. once done Put the HEavy Armor back on PP, Dubbs as mule carrying extra SS for your lvling ..
This is My Opinion and sugestion .. take it as you may, but it's just my opinion.
