So, I thought it might be fun to do some calculations and comparisons on total XP cost across the various classes. This is the XP cost if you bought every single level of every single skill.
I found it interesting how some classes costs were much higher than others.
The information on costs is taken from the Official message board in the skills section.
It shows how much SP is needed per level group, that would probably be a little easier to add together :) (Yes, its as up to date as the official site is)
a couple of things to add
for starters as you can see sp is basically balnced up till third class
secondly cardinals and doomcriers are screwed at 79 when they get 2 skills for 80 mil each (double other classes)
but apart from that there seems to be a pretty massive varient in sp between classes (is this up to date?)
and finally !WTB archmage sp requirements
i'm 100+ mil in the red for sp, if i was an archmage i'd have all skills :/

i'm 100+ mil in the black for sp, if i was an archmage i'd have all skills :/
Check out the skills an archmage actually gets and you might change your mind. Before Interlude that single lvl 76 skill (Wisdom) cost 30 million sp. Dinging 76 on mine was a huge letdown since I knew I still had to grind to 77 to get my vortex spell (and only overhit nuke). WTB more skills for archmages.
well i skipped 3/4 of my 76 and 77 skills and i would trade every single one of my third class skills including the lvl 79 and 80 ones (lol) for fire vortex

Aww I feel so bad for you :(
My Shillien Saint does not get A SINGLE **** SKILL at 79.
I'd gladly take your skills plus SP requirements :)
Something ain't right here. Dwarfs have about the same SP costs as a Destroyer/Titan, and as far as I know, they don't get nearly as much for their SP. (Not that a Destroyer/Tian has that many skills either, but still ....)
Edit: Thanks for posting this info.
i'm FS 79 (in the beginning of the lvl), i have all skills, but light armory mastory, and 65m SP to spend for.... nothing... !! (i did lots of OE on my few skills...)
Wow PW is worst off VS TH and AW. And their skills are hardly that great compared.
AW gets 2 bleeds, slow nuke, drain nuke, poison skill.
PW gets 1 bleed, slow skill, cure bleed, cure poison, Heal (MP expensive, slow cast with out acumen). no poison skill, no second bleed, no crt dmg, And the most SP needed for skills. what the Hell!!
Thank you Jute. So Cardinal skills are the most expensive of all, poor fellows.
I suppose that means that they have the best skill, most powerful skills, most useful skills of any class!
Nope, but it means that they HAVE high level (e.g. lvl 79) skills. While other classes do not. Take away salvation for 80m SP and one of the 80 skills for 150m SP (since many other classes do not have a 79 skill and only one lvl 80 skill), and the SP cost looks normal again. 596m-150m-80m=366m, same as other classes.
Having MORE skills than other classes is not a disadvantage. Only having the same number of skills, but at a higher cost would be a disadvantage. While others will stand around at lvl 79 with 100m+ free SP and nothing to buy, Cardinals can get the 100% full mp full hp full buff self-res skill. Not a bad deal, if you ask me :)
