I can't do a table here very well, so I'm going to put this on my site as well, but I thought people might want to also see how many skills classes get.
The first number is the total SP amount from before. The second number is the total number of skill levels (this is everything, passive skills, 0 cost skills, everything!) and the last number is the actual number of different skills.
Class SP Cost Total Skill levels Different Skills
Dark Avenger 83,232,160 525 34
Hell Knight 446,252,160 537 46
Sure. I'll trade regeneration and resist poison for VR. Sound fair? Then you'll have more skills! How about Serenade of Eva and decrease weight for Empower. Deal?
SE's are still the most common 2 box because they have most of the buffs you need by 58, can recharge, and heal. I bet there are still more SE's created than EE's or bishops.
A few important things to keep in mind when looking at these numbers.
These totals include skills that come from your base classes. For instance all human mystics get Curse: Weakness. How useful is that to a level 74 Bishop?
So, remember that these totals have skills that no one may have used since they were experimenting back when they were first playing.
There are also a number of skills that no one really uses. That may be because the skill isn't worthwhile or it's not well understood. Charm comes to mind as one that wasn't used much when I played previously.
In any case, I just thought it might be fun to look at some of these kinds of things.
Now is anyone willing to go through their respective classes and remove the sp for skills they never bother to train and subtract that from the total sp cost? I'll try to do archmage or SE later but no promises.
What I noticed in the calculations was that the skills you probably wouldn't level really cost very little SP when you look at the end game. In this instance 11,406,480 wouldn't get you a new skill at the highest level, so I don't actually think the cost savings is that much for the end game.
However, as you are leveling, at lower levels the savings can mean the difference between a level of a useful skill and getting a skill you won't ever touch.
Yeah, for the most part it's the sub-40 skills that I wouldn't have learned, since they become useless for the majority of the character's existence (40-76+). Removing a single end-game skill (Skill Mastery 18m sp) does make a big difference though.

As useful as 3mp-worth 600-range split-second-fast pulling skill is? :D
It could be better, though, if it also detonated death bombs (well, at least mine doesn't).

my SE didnt need windstrike, so i never learned any skills that werent buffs. in fact i have no heals either.
well untill level 79 all askills for all classes seem to cost the same amount of SP.... so if a dorf gets 8 skills a level and OL 20 skills a level they all add up to the same amount of SP.
Level 79 OL gets 2 skills costing a massive 80mil SP each while everyone else gets one for 80mil SP singally.... should be 2 skills for 40mil SP each.
