Lineage 2 Vault is pleased to bring you the first of our expanded Featured Hero section, entitled Unsung Heroes! This week, we would like to feature one of Jay's heroes, none other than the irrepressible orc Splatter (http://l2vault.ign.com/View.php?view=Features.Detail&id=132).
Also, if anyone has any people that they feel is a true "Unsung Hero" of Aden..please toss your suggestions to Jkoster here on the official forums. This can be anyone who is WELL known, to someone who made your experience in Aden better.
well unlike the normal hero listing where do you go from here?
obviously jute has to be in there at some point then who? who after that? and after that?
won't be long before you are scraping the bottom of the barrel for heroes
my recommendation is to put the word out looking for the unknowns
try and scare up the ppl who might have helped a scammed random or saved some poor noob in a massive perma red gank session

Glad my post above helped clear that up for you :) Our intent with this feature isn't for US to pick the heroes...but to hear from the community who they consider their heroes.
We aren't doing is as a "OMG it's Saturday and we don't' have a feature..so lets make one up!" We will be featuring these heroes as we get recommendations. We want this feature to really mean alot..both to the players and those nominated :)
PS: As I know there is that player base who do not read message boards, please make sure to spread the word about this feature. We really want to make sure that those heroes who are active in game (but not necessarily on message boards) get featured as well!
Puh, give hero status to players who actually play support classes that are in FACT their mains.
I'm sincerely not asking for myself, as most do not like me and that is fine with me, but I do ask that for those that do fit the description above. Being WELL known only makes it a popularity contest.
I'm not too sure about this feature though. Having played with and spoken to some people who have seriously worked their [censored] off for the L2 community, I honestly wonder where this feature will end up.
(Mostly thinking about the tons of L2 community "Heroes" who have been banned, either from the game or these forums, or both, for doing that they did o.o)
That's the point of the fansite news section. So you can read the news. Posting it in the General Discussion forum allows for, you know, discussion of the topic.

And if you ever want to see the clan tag above your head--drop me a note! There's a place in Revenant for you (the most casual, non-requirement clan in the history of L2---lma0).
Speaking of unsung heroes---EllieBelly has done so many quest guides that I've followed (and hundreds of other players follow too), and Jute has patiently answered so many angry newbies (like me), and provided the exactly correct advice and answers for so long....that there are two heroes right there!

The Unsung Hero remains just that, for now. No one has stepped forward to nominate anyone yet!

ehhh, well, the problem with a feature like that is also its selling point.
due to the nature of the game, you wont get many. L2 brings out the worst in people. so naturally there would be the exceptions that shone above and beyond, but of so few in number they would drown in the seeping gaping puspot of the community playerbase.

Uh... no its not true. Its true for you, and I'm sure some would literally beat the crap out of you if they ever saw you just because your that sad. (Assuming you leave the house, which I doubt!)
I'd reccomend zoielyn as an Unsung heroine from hindemith :p she's an awesome BH/Destro(/something else maybe) who's an amazing clan leader, and always willing to help anyone else out when in need (i would know, im a master of needing help) ^^
