Turns our server transfers are going to come on 12/07--that's what my email from NCsoft said. Apparently they sent emails to the "Best and most valued players"........didn't you get one?
....oh! You're probably paying the $14.99 per month fee!

We will make an announcement once we have the details and the date ironed out. :) We aren't holding out on info; rather, we are working out a few last details and don't want to make any announcements until those are complete. In the meantime, we do thank you for your patience.
Sorry but I am with Rikku on this one, it is killing me to know if I can transfer over to bartz and if I can take any equipment/adena with me (no sense in transfering if I have to leave my entire fortune behind >_<). I really want to transfer badly, but I have little hope that NCsoft will give me what I want, I fully suspect there will be annoying restrictions placed on transfers.
It's not like you need to apply for a passport and wait 3 months to get it.

That would certainly be one possible meaning. Paying back debts is also a possible answer. Finally, there is the possible severing of ties, or maybe even scouting out friends who will be transferring, and where there will transfer to.

That is exactly what I want to start doing, sell my high-priced gear on my current server and transfer to bartz where everything is cheaper. ;)
But as soon as server transfers hit, depending on rules, the economy might go wack when items get transfer between serevrs with different inflation rates. So, prices could go up on low priced servers and down on high pirced servers. Obviously, you want to sell your equip before server transfers if your current server's economy is very inflated (or watch as all your gear quickly depreciates in value).
There are many obvious reasons for wanting to know the rules before server transfers go live, money is at the root of most of them, but friends and enemies could also be factor.
Come on, Rikku, give them a break. They've only had a few years to discuss and work out the details. I'm sure they'll be able to wrap everything up in another few days. lol.
