Ok so that time is approaching. Im nearing lvl 20 and i'm not sure what im going to go. I need input guys. I originally planned on going SK...but not im not too sure now. Soo i've come to those that have already made the desicion. basically the only thing that i need to be ablet to do is solo. since i tend to have a hard time finding groups. OH! and im really just looking at SK, AW, and BD. but i'd love to hear from any PR's. THanks guys!
bd solo pretty good especially at higher lvls
SK is kinda the gimpest tank in game and considering they are meant to be the DD tank they arent very good at it
AW is a dagger....
A while back I was raising a little Palus Knight to go with my SE main. I wondered if BD or SK would be better -- I went BD and am happy with it.
Note: I don't 'solo' even when I play alone on the BD, cuz I have the SE.
With regard to groups and stuff, it comes up often enough that people want the BD to come to a group instead of or in addition to my SE. A lowbie SK is worthless to a clan or group, but a lowbie BD dances the important dances just as well as a 70+ BD/spectral dancer. Fury, Fire, Warrior and you're good to go.

The best solo class you can have is PR. It can kite almost everything and if you learn to kite properly and fight in the open you can kill mobs very fast. However u need buffs. Going self-buffed with greater atk. speed/haste potions plus Herbs could work too but to see the best of it you'll need prophet buffs.

with are cubies it makes lvling so much easyer and with are patck and atck speed it just awsome
most people thing the drain life skill suck but when u healing for 300 and 500+ with ur leech life and ur cubie doing its drain life we talking about 1k heal or more so we can solo just fine with self buffs and are cubies out
i soloed all the away to lvl 61 and at 61+ i did party but most class need to but all i did was duo with a buff and i made it to 76 fine with just that

I love to pvp with a good SK in a dagger party. Tank + dagger is a very deadly and very fun combo. Besides that, yeah you gotta have solid determination to play a Tank in this game, but out of all tanks SK is absolutely the best.
i dont know what u've been told. if u go plated leather and crit dmg dagger 61+ u might need all the buffs in the world in order to survive without being healed. with a normal setup in each grade (pl-ds,doom-kris,dc-bo) all u need is SE+gsap or PP+SE or even PP only depending on where u xp. i suggest doing green-white mobs [with herbs if possible], dont go higher. dont go to high evasion areas (vos), dont go to heavy stun areas (dc,hs), dont go to dagger resist areas and dont go to very-xtremely strong pdef areas and u ll do fine. gl

i strongly disagree. SK can solo quite well with self buffs, cubies, and pots. Expensive yes, but totally soloable.

never xp'd an aw myself, but r u saying that he cant solo a room in a cata with PP+SE? or that he cant xp in fotd 66+ w/ PP+SE with a good xp rate? never thought he was much different in pve than a TH :/
