Silence covered the land...

Tales of Aden and Elmore Started Last reply 11 posts
((Hi all! After a long break from the game, I have returned. Apart from immense spots of pvp and exp, I am planning on continuing some sort of storyline regarding the characters and places of Aden and Elmore. I hope you enjoy this new installment I "PLAN" to stick with. Most of the characters I mention, apart from the ones in the obvious lore belong to me and friends I know on Gustin. I also kind of pumped this one out, did not really sit down and completely proof read it. But I plan to edit it completely after I finish the little story. There is still more to come. Comments, suggestions, ideas are more than welcome and of course constructive criticism.

Enjoy!!

-Fioren))

Winter had seemed to fall across Aden quite fast. Regardless if the snow seemed to force itself from the depths of the Schuttgart region, the land of Aden was layered with cold winds and frigid air. The sky blazed deep into the dusk with gray clouds of rain. Apart from the dreary weather, the world itself was also weeping with the rain.

Castle lords retreated behind their walls of stone. The Forge of Gods slowly rumbled soft, bubbling with fiery liquid, lost of their queen Valakas. The organ of Frintezza collecting dust. The world was at a balance. Behind the veil of iron and mystery, a dark cloud surged across the land.

Casting a shadow of doubt. Towns, burned, massacred. Some claim, a sword, blazing red and crimson. Blood dripping. No! A mere myth. It was only idle gossip at a local bar. It was taboo to speak of. Odd stares and glances followed the one who questioned the whereabouts of It. Why would you search for something that does not want to be found? Something so evil that it controlled the air around its hilt to whither any plant. Why would you wish to find such a beast?

It was ten minutes to the usual patrol shift in Goddard. The sky hung low to the sky, overcast and sad. Most of the merchants gathered up their goods and slowly retreated into their stores. Slowly gliding up the stone steps of the spire-crossed city, a slender figure gracefully moved past the two guards. As it was their duty, they quickly inspected said person. His slight figure made him appear almost young. A cloak and robes forged of crystal pure as the knight, etched within the fabric glittered and pulsed even in the absence of sunlight. There was a rise at the side of his hip, a hilt of a weapon? The two discussed it later that night.

The cloaked stranger, hooded with the exceptions of a few strand blonde hairs slinking out of the hood, quickly made its way up into the city square. Up into the temple and out onto one of the many spike-covered balconies. It moved with purpose, ignoring any looks or glances from the town’s people or other adventurers.

Walking along a lonely corridor the figure continued onward. The torchlights flickered as it passed. Robe hems lightly touching the marble stone. Suddenly the robes halted and switched direction. Emerging from a small doorway in the corridor wall onto a sweeping balcony. A dark skinned elf lazily leaned over the balcony overlooking the sweeping Garden of Beasts. Two swords crisscrossed leaned against the grate balcony railing. The being of crystal dark as the clouds reached up with two gloved hands and removed the hood, a young pale face placidly look towards the back of the dark skinned elf. Blonde hair, cut in perfect strands fell serenely at the sides of his face.

The elf slowly wandered forward. Even a bit clumsy, it was a beautiful sight. The expressionless blue eyes blinked for a moment.

“I came as quickly as I could,” his voice was young, almost child like. The dark elf leaning over the railing let out a cold laugh. With a swirl and flick of her long hair she turned slowly, sretching luxuriously.

“Oh did you now?” she paused, smirking, “It has been almost a week since I sent out the summon,” she fluttered her eyelashes. The elf eyes grazed over her form. Adorned in glittering Imperial Armor, it seemed as if it did not even hinder her sensual movements towards him.

“I have been across the sea for some time, much has changed,” he gestured around slightly. The blue eyes glanced over her shoulder out into the horizon. A pillar of smoke slowly rose from the Ketra Orc Outpost.

“Yes, yes it has…” she was even closer. With a brief yawn she stalked around him. Sizing him up? The smell of dirt and jasmine seemed to swirl with her every movement. Slender arms snaked around his shoulders. Her pink tongue slipped in and out of her mouth, moistening her lips.

With a disgusted sound, the elf nudged her off, flicking out his crystal robes and tilting his head.

“I have not time for your games, what news do you have,” his voice was firm echoing something more powerful than it appeared.

“Oh come now my little Fioren…can’t we just chat?” She twirled a moment and giggled flicking her ebony hair.

“No.” The word resounded off the spikes surrounding them. The beautiful smile on the dark elf was wiped cleaned. A look of disdain took its place.

“Fine. We have found it, or assume to know where it is.”

“Where?” The elf stepped closer, the smell of jasmine tempting his nostrils.

“It is a mere rumor, Fioren, do not go on any crusades you cannot handle. A monk in the Monastery of Silence said he had seen it. Or felt it,” she paused, glancing at Fioren, then returned to the balcony to over look the emerald foothills.

“Where? Cease these vague responses, Suggan,” the elf growled joining her at the balcony railing.

“Hmm…” she looked distant for a moment then turned her sultry armored body towards the elf, “The Valley of Saints. The Angels have been trying to attempt to track it. The stupid thing in the Tower, Galaxia,” the blonde elf stared at her for a moment and scowled, “Oh right, well then, he issued angels to track it,” she paused and stretched once more over the railing, “I am not sure how, but it is gone. I would check at the Monastery, you know those old coots will probably give you the information you need. Maybe even the library? Who knows?” he glanced at him, “I heard the Grail is there too, wouldn’t that be an incentive.”

“How naïve you are thinking I would try and steal something that great. Especially from the Master of the Monastery. It is forbidden, however, I will check there…” he did not look at Suggan. “What was the name of the monk?”

“Dorlin? At least that is what it sounded like,” the elf pushed off from the railing and turned slowly around. His robe hems cascading out onto the marble stone. “Shall I come with you? I’m sure you would appreciate the company. Plus, those Monks have not seen something like this,” she spun around, “in quite some time.”

“I’d rather you sit this one out,” Fioren shrugged and began to walk towards the corridor.

“Do be careful. There are others looking for it, my elf toy, do be careful,” Suggan laughed and hefted up her swords. Strapping them onto her back, she returned to her position at the railing.

Fioren however, was gone.

((Oh, my lame clan mates! You will all get your 15 minutes do not worry. Here is a bit of a teaser. I'll work on more this weekend. Until then, enjoy!))

It was said the Monastery of Silence was controlled by Angels. The divine beings that once ruled the Valley of the Saints, exiled due to the odd pilgrimage of Oel Mahum’s. Others said the Monastery was a breeding ground for the occult. The monks within keeping silent throughout their years, wearing there black rags and sullen gaunt faces. The dates of the holy citadel never have been recorded. A man in Rune claimed it was before the Van Hellman’s or even before the Silenos built their kingdom to the west of Goddard.

Nestled within the region of Rune, the Monastery loomed within the protective hills, which encased it. From the outside, the humble abode of the monks looked more dilapidated than any Church or home of clergy throughout the world of Aden. The doors off their hinges, the smell of blood and vinegar. Old pages. Feathers.

Fioren hesitantly leaned against the large oaken door. With a moan the threshold became larger. Slipping through the opening he hastily closed it. Taking off his hood he blinked in the dim dusty light. Murmuring sounds came from down the ramp, which lay before him. A faint chanting came from above as he moved down the ramp. Frowning, the elf almost contemplated leaving. Had Suggan sent him blindly to his demise?

She would not dare.

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Fioren stood in an empty foyer. Plain and uninviting. A wrought iron gate was slightly ajar to his left. A hooded monk waited silently at the gate.

“Greetings, elf!” His voice was raspy, however it held some inviting tone. Fioren blinked for a moment. “What business do you have at our Monastery?” the Muse let his hand slowly fall upon the mace under his robes. Pushing it behind him slightly he wandered forward.

“Hello monk, I am here to meet with one of your clergy…” Fioren briefly glanced back up the ramp. Doubt filled his mind. With a small yank back reality, he peered back at the monk’s hooded face. Only the lower features of his face showed. The pale smirk plastered to the dark face.

“Oh. Many creatures and denizen’s of the world come searching here. Yes…they do…” the monk apparently dwelled on a personal joke, chuckling to himself. It sounded dirty and unclean. “What…or rather, who do you look for?”

“Dorlin.”

“Ahhhh….” The monk smiled, glittering yellow teeth, decaying for centuries peered behind cracked lips. “Our librarian, Dorlin. Are you sure elf? Or are you seeking Kelmar?” the smile was gone, replaced with the hood shaking left to right, “No no…Kelmar is our Grand Librarian higher in the Monastery. He has no time for youuu…” The monk’s skeletal smile returned once more.

“Dorlin, I believe. Is he in residence?” Fioren began to go over several spells in the back of his vast mind. Just incase.

“He is! You are in luck young elf. Please, if you will, this way,” the monk turned slowly and gestured past the gate, “Another came looking here, he was more forceful. An orc. With green skin. So powerful…” the monk was lost in some sort of brief memory. Fioren stepped forward.

The monk swiftly bared his way. A pale hand waved at the elf.

“Oh, how silly of me…” the monk gestured lightly to the bulge at Fioren’s side, the Mace. “Weapons are forbidden…”

Within the hood, two gray eyes glittered with a calculated glee. A yellowed grin soon followed.
