from what i can tell the AW is prolly most popular with groups in both PVE and PVP.
The SK doesn't get much love i think. Ironically thats what im going. :)
There's prolly 10 to 1 AWs compared to SKs on Teon. TH is the cookiecutter dagger, but AW is a very powerful one too and imo has more charm than the TH does.
I'd go AW in the blink of an eye, better at lvling and PVPing.
Im sorry but I love my litle SK,I can solo with her and she takes damage very well and I love Lighting Strike and Banish Seraph two of the coolest skills ever. There are however very few SK's in Lionna.
Espectually with the new things that Tanks get in ct1. you should see what tanks (sk) can o/e on their skills, its crazy!
how about the boost to cubic fire rate, cubics gaining hate! LS higher land rate. poison does more dmg, bleed does more dmg, you can add elemental dmg to skills, and to your weapon in ct1.
there is alot that really boost SK!
I would sub one in a heart beat if NCsoft would allow LE's to sub dark elfs.
Thanks for the input guys but looking over the skills sure SK has alot of DoTs but AW has a few bleed and sting. (im kinda leaning towards AW but im gunna make one on the PTS to see what they do in CT1) One of the main reasons is because of the increased importance of Evasion. Keep the info coming please :)

Think about it tho.
If a SK hates a Dagger that dagger wont get behind them.
With judgement, Hex, Sting, bleed, poison cubic, wind shackle/Hex cubic, Vamp cubic. improved shield dmg, improved heavy armor, improved M df/ evasion/acc from lvls, that makes SK very strong class,

oo that works well for me i have a SK. And I'm on lionna. It really comes down to what you want to be. If you want to tank, take a lot of damage and also be good for pvp, or if you want really good dps and be good at pvp. All classes are, just depends on what you want.
Depends on luck... on both sides that is, but more on AW side... seen lots of movies where AW goes down against an SK, but some movies where the SK goes down as well...
SK is better and don't expect me to change my oppinion, cause that's what I'm playing  :p
Better? Really? You're actually saying that a Defensive Fighter is better than an Offensive Fighter with "instant" kill skills? In a game where Defense has almost no meaning and offense is everything... :)

Basically... yeah :p If Lighting Strike lands then it is better ;)
Nope, not really fun. Found it quite boring as almost all classes in L2. Only classes which can _really_ be jack-of-all-trades are fun and Imo only Tyrants and Destros fit into that category.
I guess it varies from person to person. I like tyrants as well, but in turn I didn't find Destroyers that fun. And I'm not saying that just because you don't like SK's :)
Maybe _Charmille_ is right in some points but i recommend you to stick to a character that u like the most, because your trip in Lineage2 will be very long. Using usefull PvP toons could make you play something that u will dislike in the future. PvP is important, but most important is to have fun with your friends.

Aye, I'm just saying that the AW is the better class of them when it comes to killing power and popularity. Which was the original question the OP stated.

well i played to 58 on an SK for a lil bit but i lost that account (oops :) ) but i thought he was REALLY dull in PvE and im not sure if thats how it is with all classes.

i played a DA for a long time on another account...before i fell for some stupid email and my account got jacked. but i really enjoyed tanking and soloin with the kitty. soo thats why im going SK. i know it'll be different but i've always liked tanks/knights.
So a dual between a 61 AW and a 61 SK which one would win. I highly doubt the AW is gonna 2 hit the SK. Plz let me know, i have an SK and ive been wanting a killer pvp class.
Description of Trick: Takes away the enemy's will to attack and removes the enemy's target state. An equipped dagger weapon is required to use this skill.
In use: It removes the target. If you were using a special attack that needs a target, it will be canceled due to the loss of target. Same as the target going behind wall or too far. A skilled dagger can cancel pretty much every and all skills of his/her opponent, provided that they're not _instant_ casts.
Now, many players get a bit confused when they lose their target, or the skill gets interrupted. They will stand around for maybe a second, which is enough time to get behind and BS.

This could be a great question for me also for when my OL is finally able to subclass.
Make his sub an SK or make it an AW and then have 2 of them since my 1st toon is one or go Phantom Summoner and try for a very rare sub idea if possible on hinde.
I already play my OL same way as my AW as far as weapons go. :)

lol. sneaky [Censored] ;)
nah the way its designed.
its what makes Daggers worth playing. if they couldn't do what they do now then the classes couldn't handle pvp nowadays.
if my PW couldn't make people lose target I would of never played the class, and would of went another class.
this is funny cuz one daggers cant kill a tanker.
Only way they can is by doing they lethal skill which really if u look at it they can two hit anyone with it making u go to 1cp and 1 hp so yeah.
If that never landed and the tanker know that with trick or switch all u need to do it click on the dagger again ur turn around. Lethal with like BS or DB kill cp only not hp and with high pdef and now in ct1 the crt damge is redu by alot
lvl 80 AW vs lvl 80 sk i yes sk cuz of sheild bash
if i remmebr right that does melee silnce which mean no phy skill ^^ and oh yeah death touch that skill rocks ^^
Im an AW and lethal in pvp removes cp only...i have never had it reduce someone to 1 hp...and i can not kill any tanks my lvl skills as my skills just miss too much and trick is the same and its the same with every other class skills miss too much and i lose by far in most duels unless they are mage class. I very much regret going AW as they are inferior to TH in almost every way and close distance fighters are too vulnerable in this game. I would just go bow. No game favour's assassin like classes circumstances are just too rarely in their favour. Oh and a SK as good as an AW would easily win by judgement and using spells from distance in my opinion.
yeah u havent done that cuz its a lvl 77 dagger skill its called lethal strike for archers is at lvl 76 and its called lethal shot
if it land it bring u to 1 cp and 1 hp
with daggers class they can increase they chance with they dagger buffs and mm daggers

MS SA only increase the skills land rate, and it only works on mortal blow (lvl 20-36 skill), and back stab. (as far as I understand it, DB, BB, LS aren't deadly type skills, not sure what type skill critical blow is).
at 78 you get assassination which increases your chance to land blows.
also at 78 PW/AW gets focus death which is spamable (IE cools down before the skill ends). and increase your land rate, and dmg.
when I used Lethal blow (76 skill) I'd get like 10 100% lethals in a buff round duoing mobs in L room (tho I think having hero dagger helped alot). In pvp is was less I got a 100% lethal like once a day maybe 2 times. It's not a skill you can relay on.
How ever a (PW) AW more so can 1 shot CP in olym on their first hit, then from there its all about getting rid of the HP. DA's are hard cause of shield slam, panther, and shield stun.
In fact its so rare why are we even mentioning it? It just doesn't happen....at all. Lethals in pvp suck as i expect most of the time it will land when the enemy's cp is mostly gone already.
Between the two, FP or Comp, which would you go for? The extra HP of FP or the bonus weight (5k something) of Comp. The shield bonus is pretty much the same between them.
FP is hands down the best, but buy what you can afford you'll have good pdef regardless. Comp is way cheaper, but hard to find full set. Neither set has a really good set bonus IMO.

Lethal strikes for daggers are very common at end game, especially AW/PW who can enchant mortal strike for a higher chance of a lethal strike to happen. I don't know what enchant options are available for the TH and critical blow which is essentially the same thing.
Backstab lands often, and 4-9K damage depending on armor/buffs can really hurt ya.. 78+ of course (duh)
when does this ever happen end game buffs on a dagger all they do is like 800-1k with backstab and only if they land it
cuz most of the time they dont land backstab

Backstab a robe user while focus death is up. have full buffs including dance (fire mainly). And hope for a skill crt.
with dances as a PW I can easily hit a robe chr for 2k+, light armor for around 1-1.6k, and heavy armor users for about 600-900 dmg, given that its not a skill crt and is only a backstab on normal dmg.
now a AW that hits someone would be alot more given they have 7 lvls of crt dmg passives.
Focus death is +60% chance to land your dagger blows, along with adding 90% critical damage from behind add the assassination passive in on top of that along with the fact stabs have a better chance to land from behind and you're going to be landing those stabs quite a lot.
Factor in that you can enchant mortal strike for a better chance of getting a "lethal strike" and you're going to get a lot of those too.
Not too sure why people think this stuff doesn't land too much.
