Finance for your Kamael

With just about everyone likely to make a Kamael when they are available on the main servers, have you got enough money or items to equip this new toon ?
If not, why not clear out your warehouse and use www.l2marketplace.com (http://www.l2marketplace.com) to list your trades !
From playing the PTS, I can see they will be a popular choice as people try to be the first to fly !

Come on guys 'n' gals, the Marketplace is waiting for you.
Selling all my stuff off my 69 Paladin and retiring her - all Agrade stuff etc - only have 5 mil without selling. Paladin has got nerfed anyways in the new release (hate cooldown), pretty sad about that.
As much as other mmo's have very successful market forums, in L2 I've noticed how a single (hero) shout in Giran proves much more effective than opening your browser, having to register on some L2 website, thinking of a password for that website that's not the same as your 999 other websites in an attempt not to get your accounts stripped by the owner of the L2 site, waiting for a confirmation email which may be bugged or blocked, THEN posting your wtb/wts/wtt, and upon getting a reaction, waiting for over 24 hours pming the person on the forums since he didn't even leave an ingame nick, only to find out that person lives on the other side of the ocean and plays when you're asleep.

I don't know, but it just doesn't seem very effective to me lol.

@Rosalina, playing L2 for over a year now and still worst off ingame than some people who has played for only a day? Failure or noob? I don't know what to call you, really :)

Erm... thanks a lot. Actually, it took a hell of a lot of hard work to get where I am today with my paladin, its very difficult to make money as a Tank - especially when it costs you 90% of the adena drop+mat drop to kill the enemy mob. Total worth of my pala is probably around 180m - which in my books is **** good after 14 months.
Dont mind him rosalina... He is one of those ebayers/botters/cheaters who thinks l2blah is a place of knowledge.

I hope like heck you aren't on Seighardt. I would love to have an active tank in the clan I belong to, and I know some other clans that would like to have a high-level tank.
Well User17085, I can appreciate forums aren't for some people. That's fine. People have pm'd me saying they've sold stuff through my site so that makes it worthwhile to me.
As for security, I can assure you there are no info grabbing scripts or anything of that nature and, as part of proboards privacy rules, I, even as the creator of the forum, don't have access to member passwords.

On another matter, Rosalina, like you, I've found it hard to make a lot of money. The only thing that got me going was getting a HG 64 LS from 50 Apiga. It was the best drop I've had in game since starting in 2004. Since then, I've managed to finance my characters on spellbook sales and a little crafting.
Anyone who makes millions in a few days is either very lucky, very clever in the market, gets a share of some big drop or uses "other means" to obtain their fortune.
diagnosis: another periodic reroll :)

I fully agree with this :)
It takes around 40 min at the morning to obverse night changes, around 20 min after work for brief look and around 1 hour before i go to bed to keep eye on the market. This is enough to know anything you need to play on market. L2 market is pretty easy and predictable so you don't need nothing genius to keep enough SS/BSPS reserve and get adena to upgrade your gear/weap eventually. I know a lot of ppl who made their fortune reselling some stuff.

#1 Their is a website that automates the whole market monitoring thing you're talking about. Complete with graphs, histories by day week month and even a general index. I believe NCsoft doesn't like that website, though :p (I guess here starts the part where people use "other means" to gain profit? :) )

#2 Nobody has become a billionaire by selling soulshots.

#3 Nobody has become a billionaire by reselling items, either.

Both of those money making techniques are just way too obvious and amateuristic. Anybody who plays this game longer than 3 months can come up with them. That's also why noone became a billionaire with them, or their would be too many billionaires :)

I sold SS to get started. Then played the market. Then sold high end goods people wanted. Now overenchant what everyone wants. If you got the luck and the balls then you can have it all.
I'll continue with my SR me thinks. Kamael will be a fun alt. Not demanding like my dwarves or buffers :p. Just something to chillax and have fun.

I have a rediculous ammount of adena (to my standards anyhow) and lots and lots of mats at the moment. I'm covered for costs.

12k d crystals should solve every shot problem for awhile :p. And I always get a few drops at least running a char to 40. Doubt kamael will make it much higher than 52 on main. My necro died at 46.

The soulshots is probably right, it takes a lot of time to craft SS, it really isn't worth it, since there are other ways to make money faster.

but i bet there's people who have become billionare's by reselling items, if you do it right, and you are on often enough to catch the good deals you can make money so fast that way, and the more money you have the more you can invest. so that is definitely a possibility, its starting out thats hard.

Playing the market is not as easy as you might think. the best deals are the ones that get done fastest.

with the new chapter coming out and the new race. you can predict a lot of what is going to happen. 1h swords, 2h swords and bows will go up since all the kamael is gonna want them to make their rapiers, ancient swords and bow guns.
light armor will likely go up, iirc the kamael can only wear light armor.
you can make a lot of money by playing the market. it is just a huge investment in time.
Yes, the top reseller imo on Gustin has been doing it for ages (LordEctoras), and I know he works **** hard at it, so good luck to him. I saw someone shout that he was a bayer the other day when he shouted to buy boss jewels, but that just shows the success he's had buying/reselling (esp event stuff down the years). Not sure if he actually levels the toon, as it always seems to be in buy or sell store in towns, but w/e, he must have at least one toon geared up to the nines, and probably a few more besides.

Hmm I wonder what I would be called if you consider she hasn't gotten very far...I've been playing since C2 and the highest character I have is a level 54 :p. Hah though I reroll a lot...which I am considering doing yet again :p I have no patience for anything

Not even The Bodkins?

There was a time when [censored] (or SSA if you prefer) was selling for ridiculous amounts. I was making 15K PER CLICK! It was selling so fast I had to use the crafters in town because I was still making a killing.
The only thing you need to know to make lotsa adena:

there are a lot of players with incredible amounts of adena and no clue about the game
I'd still disagree with no one makes billions making shots.

Lord knows our crafter has blown up about 700 million in weapons give or take, and he got most of that from shot selling [censored]/ABSPS in mass in Aden.

5-10 Million a day isnt out of the question for a dedicated dwarf account who does nothing but sell.
Yeah, but if you think about the costs in getting to a stage where you can buy/craft AG stuff to break for crystals...

It may seem like a lot at the moment, I suppose, but I wonder what a Cost Analysis on the project, start to finish, would look like?
You need another dwarf to finance the one you want to level up... :D
Going to use the light armors up to B grade from my PW if i'll really grow a soul breaker, but i doubt it greatly considering my glad and summoner projects...

If exp was easier I'd consider it more :p. Yeah yeah, exp is not as much the issue as gear is, but it's still too slow for me :p.
lol Nana, that's certainly how I made my early adena, and I still dabble from time to time (atm I have about 10 summon cursed bones/20 clarity/15 greater group heals), but having done the wishing potion quest about 200 times, enough is more than enough! This was BITD when Heart of Paagrio was virtually impossible to get, not like now when you get it every other go.

I'd still disagree with no one makes billions making shots.

If you sell at a high volume with high margins you can make a billion on shots. The problem is it needs a lot of maintenance. I prefer to make my money on things that stack and I can leave it for a day or two.
i doubt anyone has made billions making shots, its definitely possible to do, but theres a limit to how much you can sell in a day, and i don't think the profit is really good on it. compared to the time you have to invest.
First, when the PTS is up again, I'll try out the class and its various permutations and see whats what. Should I decide to start a Kamael character, I have loads of newb. gear in the warehouse from my other characters (double box). My friends and I mapped out lucrative quests when we moved to Franz and have done quite well by stacking them. Plus, just about everyone I know has a crafter or scavy alt for money making. By swapping out equipment and maximizing quest adena, I should be just fine. Now all I have to do is finish this semester (my last) of my grad work and I'll have the time to play again!

On Interlude PTS, I was making hundreds of millions per week crafting and selling shots :p

LOL big difference between live servers and PTS. Anyway what people are saying is very true about the market. Once you get it figured out it is quite easy to make alot of money. Just takes time and patience. The more you have to invest the more profit you can make. I made 400mil in 1 month just buying and reselling, I started off with 50mil. Only bad part of it is I didn't leave town for that entire month just continually bought and sold items. I probably lost as much as I made from bad buys and OE failures. It is very possible to make a billion adena playing the market specailly if thats all you do.

One bad thing about doing that is I got bored with the game and quit. Decided to come back now and play the new race.
I find it rather interesting that people say you cant become rich off of SS sales. It's the bread and butter for some of us crafters and it's effective. I wouldnt even know where to begin in guesstimating how much I've made off of them and I am one of the cheapest SS sellers on Bartz.(as i was on hinde, and Teon over the past 3 years) Over the course of this year my charachters have gone from having gear worth 4m to wearing gear valued at over 800. That's not bad for a shot seller... (course I wont mention what I've lost due to scams, breaks, ect but it all stems from selling shots)

But others are right .. it's something that goes in stages. You have a little bit of capitol in the begining and at later stages you need alot more to fund it all. It works well but you have to be prepared to grind adena making like you would your levels.
