406 for sealed tallum leather, a-crys on sieg go for 24k each which means that the tallum is worth (in crystals) 9,744,000a. Nice deal. No idea where you got the 10k a-crystals from though.
You may need to rephrase your entire first post because from what I now understand, based on your second post, is that you made an astonishing 60,000a by selling A-Crystals at a price of 10,000a each from an armor piece you bought for 4,000,000a (total crystal price at your rate, 4,060,000a).

didn't think it was that hard to understand
i bought tallum for 4 mil (A crystals at approx 10k each) or as i would normally say it the armor had a crystal cost of 10k
anyway the point of the thread is about good market PVP days
At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, I still can not understand how crushing A weapons can yield a profit.
For instance, lets say that Talum Blade sells for 40kk
A grade crystals for 15,000k
Talum Blade has 1464 A/g crystals
1464*15,000=21,960,000
So unless you find a sukka that sells the A/g weapon at below 22kk you still loose adena or it would be better off selling the full weapon at anything over the 22kk mark.
Well he's on Gustin for one thing, which is nuttsville as far as the market goes. For example, A crystals are running at around 18k atm. And the other day one guy was selling 2 blood tornadoes/focus for 10m each :O So if he bought one (idk who did, but they were snapped up asap - seller prolly scammed them or something) and crushed it, he would have made a good few adena.
56 mid for 1k adena.. as in 1.000 ?
i seriously doubt that is true(intended)
unless you have worded it in the same weird way as the crystals
yes 1k - 1,000a
don't know if it was mis priced and i don't really care since it was a farmer but i grabed it up since i may need them next chron
SOM on sieg = ~70m (2160 crystals iicr)
2160*2400 = 51,84,000.
So yea, you're right - how the hell did he manage to crush an a-grade weapon and not lose money?
um crushing a SOM huh, prolly not a smart move
maybe i should buy me some boss jewels and crush them for some easy money too :P
here's a tip on crushing weapons for profit
find the most gimpest under played classes in game and keep an eye on the price of their weapons
the practicality of course lies in if you should crush the item or resell it though, but when you can just buy an item and resell the crystals in minuets most of the time it will beat a week of trying to offload it for a few mil more
I've never considered a couple of easy buys from someone mispricing their stuff as particularly good marketing. It's fun to get a little windfall but that's not really the essence of marketing imo.
Developing a product or sales approach or improving on one already out there seems to me to be more hardcore than just stumbling across an underpriced weapon.
It would only take a new player 5 minutes to understand that if all top D-weapons sold for 4 million on his server, and if someone was offerring one for 1 million--that he should buy it. Okay....

Like what?
Sword? Needed by Glad and BD. Gimped classes? Nope.
Blunt? Needed by dwarf. Underplayed? No
Bow? Dagger? Staff? Which weapon exactly are you thinking of?
People don't waste materials crafting bottom A grade so the chance of having one of them around to crush is kinda low. The only ones you'll see are ones from full drops - again, another rare event.
So really, what A grade weapon are we talking about that's used by a "gimped or underplayed" class?
Isn't bottom A on the market a byproduct of the subclass quest?
not really because most ppl will go for the most expensive stuff which is kesh*kesh and skull breaker (mage blunt thingie?)
you get the odds low A weapon from epic raids and since for the most part noone uses them they will usually be cheaper than B grade
and yeah i forgot all about carnage bows, you can pick one of those guys up for 20 mil if you shop around ><
As far as crushing for A crystals... farmers do raidbosses and need to liquidate their wares into a form that doesnt take alot of space and doesnt take much effort to transfer.
Sure you could spend 5 weeks to sell a SoM for 70m, but then again the 50m in crystals u could easily unload you can use to buy out the market on a certain crop/mat. Ever see someone selling 1 billion AA?? or SOPS? or other mats that otherwise can be a pain to farm?

Lol, that's ******ed.... A crystals are 10k each so this armor has a crystal value of 10k. What the hell is the point of saying that since everything Agrd in the **** game must have a crystal value of 10k then.
To get and items crystal value you gotta multiply the amount of crystals it gives by the cost per crystal.
As for markets I miss late C4/early C5 when everyone re-rolled Hawkeye. I bought 30-40 Maj light recepies for 1mil each and started crafting and selling.
Cost to craft: 6-8mil
Sell Price: 60-70mil
They were selling for 30mil ea before I started, so I went and bought the couple left in town and sold for the same price to clannies. Then put all mine at between 60 and 100mil in different shops. The 60mil ones got snapped up, thus setting a new market price and leaving me with a ton of cash.

now thats smart marketing!
totally cornered the market to his favor!
he has the supply, the demand was high, and he controlled the flow of cost by fluctuating the market so he could get the value he wanted out of it. :D
Bah, sieghart's economy is crazy, sold an SoM yesterday for 80mil after setting-up shop for thirty minutes... O_o
If you want to make money all you have to do it watch grian for those desperate and impatient people who want to liquidize badly... you can usually get awsome prices from them and resell for a juicy profit. Window shopping until you see a mis-priced item or a very cheap item is also an old favorite.
The must lucrative is obviously crafting Ag or over-enchanting. Risky and crafting is time consuming, but good cash.
What really ****** me off is the farming system. I would love to cash into this, but the unmentionables have the manor system clogged and you have literally .001 secs to get your crops in or buy the crops you need.
I can't wait to sell all my extra gear on sieg's crazy economy and move to a server in depression where I can be Godly-rich. ^^

Elemental sword... There isn't even a class for that weapon >>
Had that thing for ages. I couldn't even sell it for 30 mil.
But A crystals are nice too.

Nope thats creating a monopoly. Buying up all mats, recipes and left armorpieces to force people to buy his overpriced stuff.
People like that drive prices up for all other players to gain profit for themself. For me they on the same step as scammers.
but... you are a bh....
isn't that kinda the way to play your toon?
My BH spoils key parts and recipes i need for my toons mostly some go for friends or clanmembers.
The few crafted spare things i sell often for a bit less then the market valure.
I craft most of my equip because getting the recipes and key parts its not hard for me the few i might not get i can still buy cheap.
So no i dont scam ppl off with overpriced items, i rather help them to avoid the high prices. The few things i sell i worked ( collect, spoil, manored ) myself for and didnt buy/get off soulless players.
I dont buy off specific things in order to create a monopoly to gain a huge amount of money nor have i time or fun for that.
I make money without playing the market just goin out hunt and spoil.

Don't take offence to this, but I must say, you must be one weird dorf.
Especially in this game, if you don't look out for yourself 1st, no one will.

Why ? I dont need hundret of millions of adena and i have all gear i need to lvl.
I like to help ppl but that dont mean they get all free.
I dont see anything wrong with helping clanmembers or friends, sometime later it might pay back ( one hand washes the other ).
Also i have fun with collecting/ spoiling stuff myself its much more interesting then have all stuff given or already ready and hundrets of millions cash left and do a boring grind.
Who is better ? The rich one that gained wealth from the work other or the poor that share the little food they have with you because you got none ?
