Hello everyone! New player here deciding on which server to call home. I've read around and noticed that the Euro servers are most popular and active (or so it seems) but those have Pings of around 110-115 whereas Devianne, Hinde, and Gustin have Pings in the 30-40 range. I hope you will all indulge me with some answers:
1. What's the population of Devianne like? Do main towns look like real towns or ghost towns?
2. Are there mass PVPs every now and then other than Sieges?
3. Is there a balance in power? (or is it one sided)
4. How's the attendance in Sieges?
5. How's the economy? (like are top end items really exclusive or are they widely available in the market?)
6. Do you have to wait long to find exp parties for the 52+ level range? What about the 70+ level range?
7. How do you see the server in a couple months or year from now? Population/PvP/PvE going up, down, or neither?
I'm not a first timer to L2 but I consider myself a new player because I haven't played since C2 :) But I remember those days when I had to wake up extra 2 hours early because those were the only times I can find exp parties in ToI lol.
To recap, basically I'm hoping for a server that:
-Has an active population and has mass PvPs every now and then as well as good Siege attendance.
-Well established market/economy.
-Not one-sided power
-Not too difficult to find exp parties and people to socialize with
Cant answer these all but here are the answers i can give:
1. Giran/rune are the towns i travel most and seem to be very active giran is full of shops atleast 100 or more with another 20 or so craft shops
3. Seems to be a fairly balanced system, dusk even wins occasionally in festivals
5. Ive seen IC items for as much as 800m adena for 1 piece not sure if its the price but their isnt a whole ton of players running around with the stuff.
6. Depends on class and time of play whether groups are available. I hear the odd call out for LFG but not every 5 mins or something like that.
7. Steady/Consistent on all fronts

It's not one-sided. It's specifically three-sided, with three major powers.
The largest in number, the Greek NoFear. The mixed American/European Intricate, and the Greek HateBreed (each alliances) ---- (Ethnicity is a general comment on majority within each and not necessarily a judgment of everyone in it).
It's relatively balanced, all castles are owned by these 3 or supporters of them most of the time.
Balance shows out in everyday PVP more than sieges. In sieges NF and Intricate seem to be staying away from each other for the time being.
As for last question I see population and PVP going up due to CT1.
Just important to find a clan or ally that meshes with your playstyle. If you play during NA primetimes I would stay away from the greek/euro clans because they will not be on when you are looking to play. There are many NA clans however to be involved in siege s and pvp in Interlude you have to be sgrade or well you pretty much dead in 1 - 2 shots.
This is see changing in CT1 with fortresses it will allow the clans that do not cheat (Bot ebay buy accounts) and smaller clans to siege and have access to that type game when we have our numbers on not at predetermined times. Devianne from what I ve seen is the 2nd biggest server behind Bartz and the not counting the euro servers.
