+6 heavy sets bugged?

General Discussion Started Last reply 24 posts
Enchanting heavy sets to +6 gives double mp regen bonus and some pdef (depends on the grade you enchant).

Now I noticed that the mp regen is great, but it only works when u stand still. When you move around the regen bonus is gone.

Has anyone noticed this also?
MP/HP/CP Regen is always higher when standing still (even higher when sitting down). When you keep running arround it is slower so maybe you won't notice.

But... Gratz on +6 on your full armor =)
Turn on walk mode like every other person who uses Mana.

You'll notice the +6's effect. Running? Not so much.
The only class which get a "walk" bonus are Spellsingers. I have to laugh when I see other mages walking trying to regain mana.

Clearmind for the win.

word is everyone has faster hp/mp regen when walking
never had a chance to test it myself cause walking sucks for fast xp

*creeps in*

According to the library on this site, SH and Sorc also get clear mind. At level 40.

Go to L2Clac and you'll see all ppl get HP and MP regen bonuses when walking.. just SPS/Sorc's get waaay more when walking..

I've tried it in-game and never seen a difference. Granted, I only tested it on my BD over the span of a few minutes but as far as I can recall I saw no difference whatsoever.

I've heard that walking regens more mp than running so many times that I am hesitant to dismiss it. Sadly, it didn't appear to work.
actually i can sorta prove this
back when i boxed a bd over a period of about 2 hours he would run out of mp doing 4 dances
if i put on walk mode he was good for 3 or 4

i still think just running around with the odd 1 minuet /sit is a more efficient way to xp though

Incorrect.

Completely and utterly incorrect heh. (As has already been posted I guess, :P)
I know there is a difference between mp regen in standing still and running.

Standing still I regen ~4 mp without the set and ~ 10 mp with the set. The effect can clearly be seen.
However, mp regen is ~ 2mp running without the set and still the same with the set.

I made others test it also and they found the same thing.
stand really still
...
Wow, just goes to show that even the best of us can be wrong from time to time!! *blush*.

Okay, so only pure nukers get a bonus at 40 for walking, but I've never actually seen any evidence to prove that MP or HP is regenerated whilst walking for any other class. Standing still, yes, I believe there is a small bonus but the most obvious one is sitting down.

I'll go sit in the corner with my dunces hat on. Sorry teacher!

Everybody gets higher mp regen for walking than for running. Just ask any buffer or healer :)

For my SE, it's a difference of about 3-4 mp/tick between running and walking.

[6x] Necro
[4x] Bish, SPS, SE

I can't say I've ever noticed it on any toon except my SPS. Maybe because the regen is so low that it isn't noticeable.
Stick to the topic pls people :(
As far as I'm aware MP regen is on topic, what I'm saying is that you won't notice it when you're moving because it's next to nothing anyway, and double nothing is ... well, nothing. :)

Unless of course you stick a heavy set on a sorc/sps or sh, then you will notice even faster regen when you walk rather than running.

So - in essence...

SPS/SORC/SH - Noticable double regen when sitting, standing or walking.
Everything else - Noticable double regen when sitting.
Well nothing is 2 mp regen per tick, double should be ~4 mp but its still nothing which is 2 :(

him :p
Yep - godda love people who read 1 or 2 replies then jump to reply themselves ;)

Probably because I'd never played an SH or Sorc.. I'll keep my mouth shut regarding unfamiliar classes in future!

And what is the difference between walking and running?
I have not checked the exact number of mp regeneration on my SK with Doom+6, the truth is though that with use of hex and sting/judgment in every mob in lair or catas, I manage to keep my mp bar almost full for some extra hates when needed, I am standing still when hitting and running between mobs ;)
To sum it up,

Sitting = highest mp regen,
Standing = less mp regen than sitting | still pretty good.
Clearmind Passiv = (Standing ~ Sitting skilllevel 1 is almost as good, lvl 2 etc gets your regen close. However your character level influences this too, > lvl 43 sh 1mp less, lvl 44 1.2mb less than sitting. etc..You get the picture)

Walking = standing
Running = less than walking , standing.

This does apply to all races / classes (dunno 'bout the one winged chickens.)

To the OP. Maybe this boostet passiv regen at +6, only applies to the standing / sitting intervals. It's l2 we never get clear informations :)
