Easy or not purp... as soon as people realise that this either is a bug, or the drop rate is insanely low (lower than full drops). The rest of the letters will be usless.
Only one thing would justify this... You get all of the rewards mentioned when handing in that word. But that wouldnt happen.
So this is a mistake by the devs Id say. Or they are really really stupid...
Seriously people, if they made events easy they'd not be any fun, they may as well just give the items away.
Pumpkin event was not fun? RB event was not fun? Previous L2 Day events were not fun? Seriously, stop defending a poorly executed piece of crap that cannot be called an event since no one is getting anything. Even the Formula ratio for the last event was 300000x better than this T/II ratio compared to other letters. Simply because there is no T or II.
The event started 14 hours ago or something like that, but yeah. Nobody on Teon has them, heroes have been shouting constantly for them and people are spamming WTB T & II in Giran, yet not a single buy or sell shop is to be found. Someone made a royal [censored] up with this event.

Very true. If one was to participate in an event which required grinding, such as this one, how can there be a lack of fun in the event since grinding is part of the game.
Something such as the arrowhead event where you're taken from the mainstream game to run from point to point for pitiful rewards could be considered not fun, but still, no-one would force you to participate.
If you don't find the event "fun" because you have to grind, that would mean you don't find grinding fun, and if you don't grind.. what else are you going to do?
For those who say PvP - remember, you had to grind to get where you are now.
Grinding Events make our soulless friends richer. On the other hand RB events make allies and clans cooperate and grow strong bonds. So kudos to devs for making another automated-fun/solo/non cooperative **** event!!!!
If only you could get those **** Ts and IIs... I don't really care how much the bots cash in, in these events (only that they shouldn't be here in the first place), it doesn't take away from my experience. Except that this event has so far added nothing but the initial anticipation of maybe being able to get something cool. I never expected to get anything of value, but I like the lottery of turning in letters, and hoping for the best.
As for the grind.. I don't mind the grind, I actually enjoy it. But I'm not in a hurry to get anywhere, and I don't play the game religiously (anymore :p). But if an event doesn't add anything but a strain on your inventory, it's not a fun event. I could have exactly the same amount of fun without the event, doing the same thing. Of course it does give us something else to focus on, such as "Oh, another R". It also gives us something different to complain about, so I guess it's not all bad.

I'm hoping to get a rare, and sell it. Why sell it? I KNOW I'll get windwalk scrolls. I don't like them very much anymore.

If you hunt more during the event, you'll do more dropping than mobkilling!
purp do you realize that each and every event we've had so far was actually useful (more or less), including that xmas event that gave xmas trees and echo crystals? Everyone could get some benefits out of every event, everyone who took at least a few minutes to grind. Everyone is the key word here.

Purps a ******* and cant quiet grasp the concept of whats wrong, he opens his mouth yet his brain is switched off.
I m willing to bet (a small amount) that the missing letters will start droping 24 and 48 hours after the event started.
Ie Ts will start dropping tonight at 10(GMT+1 or CST depending which server you play) and IIs Tomorrow night at 10 .... or vice versa

Nope. They won't "start dropping".
This event just isn't very well executed. 100 letters (with okay drop rates on the regular letters) and none of the 2 needed.
The first time I played this event I could at least GET the completed words. If I recall I spelled some word or another that first letter event about a total of 6 times--and I was a newb.
I'm not sure what this event is supposed to accomplish. The first T or II I get is going on the market though :)

I see here in this topic the same pattern as throughout most of these forums. A legit proplem has been brought to light and needs to be adressed. There are no II's and no T's.
And as usual, not one reply from an official, just the members of the community offering opinions and eventually someone like spud comes along and makes it all about themself.
Many players have been in anticipation of this event since it was announced. Myself included. And it is a let down that something is going wrong. I can live with an error, mistakes happen. But why can't someone from Ncsoft at least post something. Even a Sorry folks, were aware of it, working on it.
Have no fear though, I used a petition, and the automated reply said they will look into it and rectify it immediately.
So have no fears... they will be dropping any second now...

Ye, they prolly have some poor sob working there, watching over the server. Or being on alert atleast. For Teon and Franz, we're lucky since they're in Germany.

sry guys, you can blame this all on me. I decided to spend my time on the PTS, and the event said it wouldn't start dropping all the letters until i decided to participate >.<
I would love to see that happen, I wonder what NcSoft would say about it, "It is not our fault, it is the mechanics of the game" and continue like it never happened.

Just know that someone in my clan submitted a trouble ticket and received a message basically stating that they have to confirm if it's a problem or not. O.o

Wow, half the event gone before they can fix it, EPIC. So, it falls again to the bots to provide Ts and IIs on the market with huge prices since we're left with so little time to get them anymore. GOOD FRIKKIN EVENT NCSOFT.

So i hero shouted and over 20 people with combined 25 hours of hunting, have had 0 drops of the II and the T letters...
Seems like great event again...
Some people are getting them. It's Thursday, and I've been hunting since the event began, off and on. My level 62 SK has grinded for 55% XP without getting either a "T" or a "II".

Everying is expensive on sieg.... damas go for 140mil... DLE's go for 120mil... costs 80mil to buy a dang SoM... 55mil for a stage 12 SA cry. Doom helms are 20mil... need I go on? I think most of it is due to certian people getting adena from unmentionables, thus inflating the prices beyond reason.
The smart player on sieg will sell all his equip, then move to bartz or some other cheap server and be filthy rich.

It seems either it's been fixed or I got a strange luck, because I got the 2 T and 1 II on one AOE. (Yeah I'm solo AOEing with that char, that's my great fun :p)
I just got artisan goggles from my 5th THRONE. Now if NCsoft wants to save face and fix their screw up, they will extend the event by 30 hours, or make it run until the maint on tuesday.
They still easier than fishing for them. Fishing has its place, but I wouldnt fish that long for a non helpful item.
Got myself a few in the medals event, and looted my own medals. They are to be had.

Killing epic bosses is easier than fishing? Right, maybe on a server where there is no competition. Fishing takes only time, nothing more. It can be done SOLO, unlike crystal lvling, excluding Zariche farming Meanas Anor, Skylancer and the other RBs which have a _small_ chance of randomly lvling one crystal in the last hit party. Then again, you have to fight for them sometimes, if they're even up...
To the point about medal event... how many times has it been? 2-3? How big the intervals are? BIG. It is not a way of getting them all the time.
