Hey all. This has probaly been covered alot but here goes again. As i soon to hit A-Grade i was wondering what armor to get my hands on. Heard different advices and i am still not sure what to get my hands on. So what would be the choice to go for ;)
In advance thx for the advices
Majestic or Tallum. Depends which way you swing.
tallum
Armor is dependent on your weapon, dama-tallum go majestic ,any other go tallum, I love the majestic (+4 Dama-Tallum) .Beleave me i have tried them all . 77SD/62TH .Good luck and Have FUN.:)))
I rocked out Tallum and Kesh*Kesh duals until 78. Kesh are lower p.atk, but they do have the atkspeed SA. They're a nice set of duals for someone with a modest amount of adena. Sometimes I wish I had gone Maj for stun resist during PVP, but for the most part Tallum is the best choice.
I have a BD wannabe and was wondering what SA you prefer on the duals at C grade, B grade and A grade.

I have asked in game and I get different answers from everyone (Haste, Focus and Health).

I am not gonna PvP so I want to know what will maximize my DPS in PvE.
going maj heavy is plain stupid imo. stun resist doesnt help much in pve. offence is the best defense. kill it before it stuns u [tallum heavy]. 58+ bd can do that easily. and avoid xping in areas with a lot of stun mobs. that rule is not hard to follow either. good luck mate
wth and maybe maj is for pvp??

At grades there are different weapons thats are the "best"

C grade are focus duals (raid*spirit)
B grade are focus duals (SLS*tsurugi)
A Grade are Haste Duals (Tallum*Damascus)
S Grade are Health Duals (DLE*Tallum)

Some people may say to use OE tsu*sls instead of any of the A Duals but they are wrong because the new A duals even outdamage +11tsu*sls

The Tallum*damascus is reall your best bang for buck they arent difficult to make and you only need to +4 them to get that SA and their crazy high p atk.

Prior the only thing as good would have been like +7-8 Duals Keshes

Thanks for your answer :)
exactly. any use besides pvp isnt worth it. thats what im saying
Just get to sgrade thats when the game starts. Then you use tallum heavy and drac bow, any duals for dancing

If I wanted to use a bow I would had gone for an HE/SR/PR not a BD. I made the BD to play it like it was meant to be played...with dances and duals.
its better to use a bow most of the times. trying to hit someone who is kiting u is not fun
They should had added acuracy penalty for all clases that don't have bow mastery...
if they make bow crit rate=blunt crit rate, bows unable to shoot if range<300 then sure.
A bd's purpose isnt to use duals its to dance, you can do that and then switch to bow, if you want to be a good bd that is. Otherwise you can run around like a scrub chasing targets doing alot less damage if you really want. but I know I always laugh at the bds trying to melee me while I outcp-pot their damage and crit their healers for like 2k damage with bow.

I have a pair of Crono Dules for sale O.o

Keep in mind that dancing is not a magic skill, it is a physical skill which means the speed at which you get your dances up which is usually 3 or 4 dances (fury, fire, warr, and vr) is not controlled by acumen but instead by your attack speed. A fully buffed BD with Tallum Heavy and A grade Haste Duals (kesh*kesh+4 or tallum*damas+4) can put up dances real fast. Also make sure your always always dancing fury first (if you've reached level 58) because your remaining dances will come up that much faster. Dance VR last (if you've reached level 74) if your using it in lew of lack of a healing to keep your parties hp up when redancing. BD's can be effective damage dealers (DDs) however that's not what there meant for in a pve party. There a support class. Your job is to keep your party being as effective at killing mobs as possible by staying on top of the respawn rate of the room. (Extremely important in a pagan party.)

Another thing i'll point out is BD's have a low con and if your only going pve with a BD, alot of people will tell you to get sls*tsu+4 for b duals but i think it's the wrong way to go. BD's already have a very high DEX which means they tend to crit alot. A set of sls*tsu+4 will increase that crit rate and you also have a higher chance of eventually pulling aggro away from the tank. BD's have a low con so they don't get alot of hp. What ends up happening is the healer now has to switch gears trying to heal you instead of the tank and if that healer is low on mp, and you opted not to bring heal pots or hp elixirs, you could be [censored]. I say stick with the duals that provide SA haste from C grade through A grade.

C Grade: Raid*Raid+4 or Kat*Kat+4
B Grade: SLS*SLS+4
A Grade: Kesh*Kesh+4 or Tallum*Damas+4

This information is important within a melee party but a BD can be useful within any type of party including archer party, melee party, pole party and nuker/aoe party.

I've been playing a BD for almost 3 years now and it's a very dynamic class and I think probably one of the most important elements of a successful grind party.

Experiment with it and I think you'll have alot of fun playing a BladeDancer.

It has been proven several times that Focus duals are the best way to go. Haste increases DPS by making you swing more in a given time. Focus makes you crit more often in a given time period. Crits are very cost-efficient and as a BD, you will always have access to Dance of Fire, which increases damage dealt by crits.

This is the way to go.
C-Grade: Raid Sword*Spirit Sword +4
B-Grade: Tsurugi*Samurai Longsword +4
A-Grade: Tsurugi*Samurai Longsword >+10, or Damascus*Tallum Blade +4
A grade - Tallum heavy
+4 Tallum * Damascus duals.
+Str -Con or -Dex or a combination of both.
End of thread.

u steal the agro from the tank and the archers/daggers/nukers in the party will steal the agro from u. so no point in going health. moreover, by the time the tank in your party loses mob agro it should be close to death already, so no point again. offense is the best defense

A grade - Tallum heavy
+4 Tallum * Damascus duals.
+Str -Con or -Dex or a combination of both.

Why would you want to -DEX? Just get a +4STR -4CON tattoo.

yeah +4 str -4con would be the obvious choice.

for a novice BD player of L2.

dont mind that -2 dex nets a bd is something like -1 accuracy, -2 crit rate, -10 att speed -1 evasion and -2 or 3 run speed.

-4 con at 61 losses you about 450 HP and 150 CP and with tallum puts you at 26 con. Even more at higher levels.

There are too many people who just follow the "obvious" setup. Maybe that helped me go 42-2 in bd class specific.

Innovate, don't Imitate

wow just wow
I think savs hp are at 4227 with tallum heavy s duels +4 and tats are -3str-2con and +5 dex, she can solo pretty well but u do go down pretty fast, all and all though I travel along with a spoiler i make him tank. :p
Who the hell needs con?
Only time I really need con is when killing dragons and stuff and with some hp duals and full buffs I have 11k hp then.
The rest of the time I just use tallum and drac bow and pretty much am always the last to die.
Just wondering about something... It seems to me when I was in C/B grade, crit's was the focus <focus duals>.

I'm reading now that A grade is about attack speed. In my opinion, would'nt Maj be a better set for PvE since you'll be slamming harder (patk 4% & +2str) and Tallum for grouping because you'll be able to get dances up quicker...

Would like to hear some thoughts on this
maj is basically +3str and tallum is +2str & 8%atk speed bonus. tallum wins in terms of dps in pve/pvp
Thanks Miko for the info...
i always preferred tallum and focus duals for pve...even though i spent the last year in a pvp clan, i'm one of the biggest pve [Censored] on the planet!
