Did you notice that the Kamael class change quests rediculusly easy and short? my 1st class change quest was harder than the second on the kamael. I'm not complaianing becuase no-one likes spending hours of time and money doing these quests but yeah they got lazy in a good way.
Yeah I finished mine in like 30 minutes. It isn't even double the length of the first class change quest. At first I thought that maybe they made them this short so people can finish it faster and get on with leveling and that they would ad the entire quest when T1 went live, but then I thought doing something like this goes away from the quest-side of testing. I finished both of them in less than two hours, was expecting WAY more, but it's all good in the end I guess, hehe :)
Yes, I wrote it off to extreme laziness as even the quest lore isn't even there. Two parts of the arbalest even repeat themselves. (the npc got lost with the quest items, never to be seen again).

bah delete this post asap before they realise that and fix it. If that is true, I'd love to complete a 2nd class change in less than 2 days
I'm inclined to agree with Oldfart to an extent. Then again it could be pure laziness on NC's behalf. I really don't like the idea of the 2nd class change being so short - introducing more lore based quests into Lineage II made it interesting; this just makes it "easy".
my kameal buddy managed to do his whole second class quest before i made it half way through my first part (lvl 36 quest) on the WS
considering it was the 5th time i done it and i had a near unlimited supply of dimension diamonds thats pretty sad
In the long run, they should either make the Kamaels longer, or shorten the others. Personally, I think 1 quest for each class, with a length about equal to maybe the Trial Of The Pilgim, would be about right. Who needs this 3 class change quest business?
The first thing that pops in my head 'A Kamael can only get 1 Second Class so a much shorter class change' but then again I thought about the other classes. Most of them only have 1 option after doing the First Class. All except the humans, which have 2/3 options per First Class.
I think it's a real shame that the Kamaels can finish the Second Class in just 30min, but a normal class need to spend a few hours, maybe days, with in some cases support from friends, to finish there Second Class Change. And I don't even want to mention the pain a normal class has when he reads 'You dont have enough experience to continue, please come back at level 38' when just finished the First part of the Second part of the Second Class Change.
Meh, it will make it easier for me to try this race without thinking of the quests as a problem.
But I've thought about it and I don't think I'll play them much, I'll concentrate on my PW, Glad, SE and maybe dwarfs way too much...
Is it just me or are the Kamael a race that doesn't seem to fit in L2's universe, almost like they're from another game alltogether, i guess it's a mistake made due to the new game developers incharge of this update. In almost all aspects, graphics, animations quests, gameplay... Why the huge difference?
I have the disturbing feeling that they'll concentrate alot on this new race and tweaking it out and adding more content or things for them and disregard the other races, that would be an insanley BAD move.
maybe theyre just trying to get everyone interested in the idea of a flying race? although the storylines have nothing to do with each other, they might be maneuvering to get everyone to flock to Aion when it finally comes out...
Yeah On PTS I went from 1 to 41 in a day and did both class change quests and the first one was harder... now on other characters their first class change is longer than my kamaels two classchanges put together thats how easy it is :)
Took me a quick second you had to get like 1 item from each mob and i got each on the first kill and they're was barely anything to do but 2 hours???? with game xp too that's sad people finishing it with ng armor and d grade shadow weapons in about 40mins
I was expecting the usual go to TI to Giran who tells u to meet a guy in Dwarf village who need a mob in oren which needs to be delivered at gludio. After this you may continue with the next part.
When I finished the Beserker quest and had a lvl up animation is was like just happend. Stared at the screen for a time still amazed I actually had become a Beserker.
I dont know why peiople are complaining, the class quests at 40 were the most irritating things to do, i doubt there is one person who enjoyed doing those quests.
Yes, they are awful. But it was like a rite of passage I think, a look what I did! type of thing. To blow through it in 20 mins sort of cheapens the whole 2nd class change reward.

There is that idea of it cheapening the game experience -- similar should be said about many of the devs' changes (adding newbie buffs for all, herbs, etc.).
I think also an issue, given discussions across other mmogs as well as lin2, is the perception of fairness. Logically, this is a game you play s'posedly for fun. So if one person's class change takes longer than another, what diff does it really make? It's not like a job where maybe you get paid less money for the same work someone else does. But it seems in mmogs that people keep a close eye on how much their class vs others get.
In that sense, the Kamel quests will prob'ly become the equivalent to WoW's warlocks and paladins getting free mounts.

I love the idea of the 2nd class change quests being a rite of passage. However, they should be fun. Not grueling and repetitive.
I almost quit after doing them. Had to take a small break. Hard is good, long is very good too. But boring, repetitive, lacking imagination= bad.
The quest chain in Guild Wars where you eventually "Ascend" was far more enjoyable for me.
I remember finishing it and thinking "this is what the L2 quests should be like".
