+ con, maybe + dex as well. BD's have decent HP (more than an SK) but pdef isn't much better than light armor at end game. The extra HP and run speed help you get in, medusa, and get out and still be able to keep dances up.
However if you don't have a screwed str and grab a bow you aren't a bad DD. Nowhere near an archer mind you, but i keep one with me just in case when i'm on BD. However because i do a mix of PVP and PVE i don't have much by way of tats on my BD.
Not with -9 str. But yeah lots of people carry maracas around for dancing and use a drac bow. You'll be noticeably weaker than the archers but still pretty fierce.

Uh-huh. Umm, before we start labelling people as idiots let's remember that once the BD is dead...the buffs disappear. To say that this makes BD's in archer and melee siege parties a little "gun-shy" is a gross understatement.
If the OP is like me and wants to be knee deep in the scrum then rerolling is not a crazy idea. Tanks, Destroyers, and even Dwarves make good choices for people who like to mix it up without having to worry about letting others down by taking away their buffs...
I owned a BD over 10 levels and a agrade higher than me with a tank with out even losing all my cp TANKS DO NOT SUCK!
A Bd trying to kill a tank is ******ed. Its a waste of SS and time. Not to mention that the BD will be standing there stunned for 3/4 of the fight. That doesnt really prove that tanks are good in pvp though.

If you want to just own everyone then roll a HE. BDs dont suck at pvp (like a dwarf), but they arent top dog either. They are a NEEDED support class that can deal some damage in pvp.
78 BD here decked out all Boss but Anthy. -4 Str +4 Dex allows me to keep up with the HEs in clan and catch others. If it is small pvp I will do my dance stuff and run if hating peeps on to me, arresting them and doing medusa if necessary. Mass pvp that will last longer than 2 minutes you need to hang back for redances and only go up front if it isnt to far, you dying can make or break the fight. Should mention I have full IC as well, and is also why i went the extr +2 dex since set is -2 Dex... I hate being slow.
I find the BD in PvP more fun than my 79 HE TBO.. If the people are shooting you instead of the archers than you are doing your job and they are just bad.

The problem with that? Again, you just read the title and shot off a response with a tone that could have just as easily found it's home on the Counter-Strike forums or in a shouting match with one of your friends as to which Yugi-Oh card "pwns face". The OP wasn't asking if Bladedancer's were good in PVP or not. What he asked was:

BD in pvp really depends on your situation as was told earlier. in small scale pvp, you can really do a lot of dmg with a drac bow focus, medusa, arrest, hex, and if nothing, put constant dmg on a healer. If they target you, even better, your DD's should win that pvp.
Ignore skills such as poison, poison blade dance, demonic blade dance, sting. at least for interlude, i dont know how ct1 will effect it.
In mass pvp, you gotta know your primary role is a buffer, but you can do more than just dance every 2 mins. You can help choose targets, look for opportunities, and protect your healer if needed, but remember you're party dances are far more important than your short range, mid damage output.
If anyone tells you to + dex for pvp just laugh at them and smile.
+str -dex or -con w/e you enjoy better. noone tries to stun a bd so -con is arrite.
