how about gnomes? i know the goblins were suggested somewhere before, but i think goblins suck. gnomes could be nukers, buffers, dagger dealers, or archers. since most gnomes are seen as alcemists, they could make potions that can be used like a self buff (aka NOT able to trade), or pots that can add effects to their ranged attacks. this may sound overpowered, but it should be fine if they have low stats to begin with, or if the gnome-made pots have a low effect lvl
but i think another aspect could be to make dark dwarfs now that would be cool would be something like the light and dark elfs but only dwarfs this time ;)

Dwarfs are already dark, meaning self-serving and highly cynical (which they mistake for "being realistic", but whatever). Plus they are the only other race that can exist indefinitely without natural light. Mine puppies for the win!
Kamael were created by Giants, making them the first bio-engineered arificial intelligences in the sky. If there is going to be an opposite to them, then I say the Land Dragon should sire them. How's that for a twist?

In L2 yeah, there is a light (Aulakiria) and a Dark (Name unknown, though no its not Shilen).

The Next Race should be Giants then with a set up like this
