Stratics download is corrupt. Ive downloaded it twice and both times it says the file wont open due to corruption.

I re-downloaded it and it still works for me just fine.
As it apparently does for those on this and other forums I've posted it at, since you're the first to report it.

humm, not sure then, maybe im just unlucky. Im just trying to stream it now so i'll see how that goes :)

Download failed a 3rd time and stream didn't wotrk, im begining to think it's something my end :/

do a defrag and a scandisk
try saving to another drive (if you have one)
try using winrars repair option (its pretty sucky) or force an extraction and try and repair the video with other software

repair mpeg
mpeg corrector

repair avi
divfix

repair wmv (no good free ones)
series 9 encoder by MS

Tried winrar's repair option.
Not sure what a defrag or scandisk would do on a HD thats only a month old.
I can try saving to another drive but again i dont think it will make much diff.
Force extraction isn't working.

I might just leave it and wait till it's available somewhere else.

the age of your harddrive is irrelevant since harddrive makers love to throw corrupt drives into the market to save a little cash

if your drive is only a month old then maybe you have a new system which could also mean a corrupt stick of ram
run memtest to check that out but before you do that run a scandisk since corrupt sectors are the most likely cause of file corruption

It says I got it corrupted too :eek:
Is it necessary opening it with some special version of winzip or internal windows/totalcommander unpacker is OK?

Nah it's not a new system, just the HD. But i think i know why it's showing up corrupted now, it's only downloading to 89% and then cutting off without compleatly finishing. Gonna try something else to download and hopefully get the full file.

Are you using the newest 3.7.1+ version of Winrar? I had no problems extracting it either.

stratics is stopping the download (timing out or something i was afk) mine stopped at 25%
i downloaded it using shareaza (stopped at 70%) so any download client should do the trick

The files were moved to our CDN service and they should be much faster to download now :)
