She had /gmed it last night and they "escalated it". Most likely, they will say it is intended and that you are out of luck. I will let you know if they get back to her with anything useful though.
"Your issue has been escalated and you will receive a response regarding this via your e-mail address to our attention"
well i dont brag of knowing too much English ... but i REALLY dont understand the purpose of the part "to our attention" ....am I suppose to send this issue AGAIN via email TO THEIR ATTENTION?
the "gm"s didnt tell you that because they didn't KNOW it. I'm betting that the majority of them don't even lnow how to login to the game, let alone have any of the mechanics down.
They are useless...your better off shouting in Giran for a player to give you the answers you seek.

Hey NCSoft - how about having some us players be GMs - at least we know how to play the game.
well...they say they have received a lvl 57 wolf...not that they received a higher lvl wolf and it dlvled to 57 >.<
When you evolve a wolf it retains the xp of the old wolf (its effectively deleted and made into a new wolf), the problem is that a Black Wolf needs more XP to level than a Wolf does, so your Wolf will delevel if already beyond level 55. This is not a bug, but to make it a little harder to level a black wolf.
I guess you dont get it. You and your "friend" have fun with your wolves, and good luck getting a GM to tell you anything different then what we have told you which was from more then GM's.
if what you guys are telling me is correct then maybe someone explain me why is there no different experience chart for evolving a wolf at lvl 55?
A friend has evolved his wolf at lvl 55 and have received no experience penalties whatsoever.....
Does not the same rule apply?
Why not? It could just mean that XP per level for both types of wolves is the same for levels below 55 (which seems to be logical).
well.... 1st of all you should have tried to raise a wolf to lvl 59 "the old way" and then come and tell me of the "LOGIC" of it...
ok?
EDIT:
answer from NCSoft Support:
A one level drop is supposed to be standard for this transformation but instead we are receiving reports of 2-6 level drop. [...]We are now consulting with the developer to determine if this was intended or not.
i answered your "LOGIC" on the [Black Wolf xp? Something wrong. ] thread.
Yeah, with arguments and telling us we are wrong, when we've spoken to the GM's.
We are all wrong, thats it. The exp chart dosent change, of course not! Instead, some little fairies came down and ate a little of your wolves tail, forcing it to delevel so it could grow back.
I dont even know why i am wasting my time to explain this to you since you have proven to see only one way through the problem...
Ok so this is the last time I am writing this.
Wolves' WAY to gain xp have changed even under 55 or after 55 (as black wolves). That being said when someone evolved an existent wolf at 55-56-57 and get THE SAME result has absolutely NO explaination unless:
1. getting a REGULAR wolf from 1 to 55 right now takes the same amount of experience as getting wolf to 57 before CT1.
or
2. The capped lvl of the wolf has been dropped (not the case from what i heard).
If you agree with no. 1. then it just means that all the people has already have a wolf lvl 55 have worked in vain for lvl 57 and thats all to it. Perhaps you had a lvl 55 wolf and thats why its hard to admit that some people feel this is not right.
I dont even want to get started on the people that lost 6 levels when going through evolvment.
This being said I will stop arguing with you since apparently there is no way you can understand what i meant to say in the 1st place.
My wolf level 66 80%, with the evolved dropped to 62 60%. It was a hard job upload (time and adena for BeastSS and food). While it is certainly a change of pet, as the dragon, the reality is that the quest dragon is from C1. It is not fair that someone would pass 6 Chronicles leveling a wolf and change the rules. It's like making a change of 4 profession and lower levels 4 to a char and without notice. I think if NCsoft takes this measure will have several players who canceled their accounts (including myself) because the rules are not clear (although you already know, we moved the limit of the work they pull back a dedicated).
Sorry for my poor English.
Pet Manager: "As the experience value is moved, evolving to a higher level, a wolf would fall A LEVEL"
You are right, in the small print of the contract, the pet manager spoke of the experience they may lose the wolf. But it said A LEVEL, not a lot levels.
Case Closed.
I guess If you evolved it at level 55(which is the level requirement) you would get a level 54 Black wolf, thus losing A level but your wolves are several levels higher which means the experience range is much greater

Suprised that its a text error?
Death SWEEPER anyone?
Really, NCSoft NA's translators are monkey's in a room.
Still however, you were clearly warned that it would lose. If you still choose to evolve it, its no ones fault but your own.

Keep your grey wolf if you think it owns ;)
I do not think you understand, I do not think now be questioning the loss, but how much it would be. I do not see because you are in a position to judge saying "you are to blame" when was never entirely clear loss levels
