So, I was visiting a friend and he wanted to buy the game. I said great, lets look online at PlayNC, we can get it there. No, we can't, so we take their suggestion and try one of their retail partners. Nope, they don't have it either. Walmart, Target a few other large retailers, none seem to have L2. Direct 2 Drive and File Planet didnt even have it. What's the deal NC? Do you want to know where we ended up finally getting? Take a guess, you will be sooo disappointed to know what kind of people are the only ones that actually have the game to sell :confused:

1) it depends on where you live. in most cases its not the distributors fault, its the retailers fault for not having more games ordered to their stores.

2) i can buy a 100% legal L2 CDKey online and have it emailed to me in like 30 mins tops. due to fourm rules im not gonna be posting where i can get them, but still, they are out there, just check.

As I mentioned, when you actually go to buy the game, they give you a message that the game is not available.

That is where we ended up getting it, finally. But I was skeptical given what else these online places were selling.

Would say thats more of a problem with Direct2Drive then NCSoft.

We *just* purchased it there not 2 days ago (literally...) for a friend who came over from WoW.

I also found numerous epic collections on various sites.

All i did was download the Live client (here: FilePlanet: [Chaotic Throne Live!] (http://www.fileplanet.com/promotions/lineage2/chaotic/index.aspx)) as its free, create an account on PlayNC (https://secure.plaync.com/cgi-bin/plaync_login.pl?language=en-gb), then bought a Game Time Card and voila! an active Lineage II account.

I did this a few Chronicles back but i imagine the process still works the same.

There is a seller on ebay called NCgame (not sure if its an official NCsoft store) but when you buy a Time Card from them, they just email you the code, you add it to your PlayNC account, and your all set!

Yes there are "alternate" ways to buy the game, but if they are paying for ads and the new customers doesn't know where to buy the game, NC is losing money...
