i'm a mage/mystic/nuker noob. i've played mele pretty much my entire L2 career. thinking of subbing a SH on my BH. my only concern is that will i be able to solo ok with my heiro boofs? for melee them buffs are beyond wonderful when grinding, will they also work for a SH (i know that emp is needed, but dont have an SE).
Will work perfect enough with good enough gear for 2 shotting vos mobs. Its actually excellent as soon as you are able to 2 shot them. You will be eventually just because of skill power.
this post will bring 2 things
people who rave that PP's are bad for nukers, and ppl that rave that they are great.
you get your casting speed buffs, so thats good.
you can always buy empower scrolls, or pray for a good aug.
you wont have clarity, or a recharger so.....
it will work, and if you cannot afford 3 accounts, i would go with what you got. no sense in starting an SE on your PP's account just for your nuker imo.
honestly, if you can only 2 box, a PP isnt the ideal buffer for a nuker, but it sure as hell will work.
try it for a few levels on you SH, if you like it and its fun then screw what everyone says. if you dont like it, try to roll out an SE instead of bringing the PP along.
ideal would be a PP and an SE, but like i said, it all depends on what you are able to box.
A prophet is better than nothing, but the essential function of a prophet in a nuker duo can be replaced by an acumen potion. Zerk can be helpful, but it's not strictly necessary; heals can help mitigate your downtime (just click a Heal macro on the PP and a B2M macro on your SH, then go do something useful for a few minutes while that process plays out).
I personally would not recommend going with just PP buffs on a nuker unless you don't mind popping Emp scrolls frequently and are ok with lack of Recharge. At very low levels you can do fine without Emp, but at higher levels it becomes very inefficient not to have it.
ummm. I say sub your heiro an SE..this way you can get noble on your buffer too and you can port to noble spots together when you are both 75 lvl noble subs.
Basicly Emp1 (SO lvl 25) is enough, but sooner or later you will reach a point when b2m and herbs wont be enough to let you xp efficiantly without recharge. So yea, sub a SE on your PP ^.^

sub class your PP as a EE!!
Here's why:
Clarity, recharge, party recall, shield defensive buffs, very good heals, high lvl rez, resist dark, trance.
As was posted, your PP will be come noble, you will have a noble healer/buffer. Then you can just use empower scrolls, and acumen pots, and not worry about SE's being gimp. EE is much faster caster, and can save your hide alot better then a SE could!!
Not only will you be helpful to your clan, but then so will your buffer, and you can use your PP in olym if you wanted to farm more points.
