I don't know if it's been reported (dare say it has but cba to read) but it appears that toons in shop mode can take damage from AoE attacks from Fortress Guards. One was apparently pulled into Giran and resulted in this:
Apparently a Rebel Commander did it. If you thought the days of training AoE mobs into towns was over, guess again. Truly awesome development and testing.
+2 for stupidity my dear developer(s), whoever you are.
With this issue being brought up in the past concerning castle mercenaries one would think that this kind of oversight could have been avoided.
Now of course this might have been mentioned by our American if not Korean testers but somehow I doubt that.
Stuff like this makes me wonder how dedicated those testers are in the first place.
Seems we the NA-players find the worst of bugs/oversights given enough time. Maybe just maybe CT2 should NOT be tested by the Koreans in the first place but by us. (That would be my BIG suggestion.)
Guess the Monster Race Track will get crowded again.
(BTW this also seems to be the place those annoying PM-senders get their targets at....... Need I say more?)
lol nice
2 weeks and NC will say it a banable offense
noone who done it before that point will be banned
enjoy
Actually it was stated almost a year ago by a NCSoft staff that brining mobs into towns that results in dead players is a bannable offence.
I will go the bot-farmer apologist route and say, "well, short of fraps no proof is conclusive and therefore no one should be banned no matter how many people reported it and how many screenshots were submitted as evidence."
I look forward to seeing the streets run red with the blood of the innocent.
"Ok, you guys what to [censored] so much, we're taking the servers down indefinatly"
I promise 90% of the people that [censored] here, would be crying or having severe cases of withdrawls. Its pretty stupid for some of you to get all pissy at developers for not finding stuff like this, but Christ do you expect people to test every potential thing that could ever happen in this game... like they expected something like this to happen? How can you test for [censored] that isn't even feasible in the first place. Im sure developers have more important stuff to worry themselves about other than random people dragging crap into town.

Lighten up people.
I'd freaking LOVE if they took the servers down here.
Then I could go play SEA which dosent suck [censored], which does have GM's that (GASP!) actually care about the game, and is not outsourced to India.
It would be a horrible event if I took a 4% on my main class in the middle of town. At the very least a brez event.
Good thing you are aware of the possibility of this bug happening and will take mesures to ensure you DONT loose 4% on your main 'ight? Seriously, its no big deal. Create a lvl 1 dwarf, L2use freight system, and you got yourself a selling char that wont loose 4%.
I agree, this is more annoyance then omfgbbqkiller bug.
The same thing could happen just going to town or standing around, someone could simply lure the mage NPC from the fortress to town with AOE super-nuke.
Not to mention many people have extra sell slots on their high level chars and needs to use those.
A simple solution is to ban the people doing it, that way noone else will attempt it even if its not fixed immediatly. And NCSoft clearly states its an exploit.

And how is that lvl 1 dwarf going to craft anything? Access CWH? Or have more than 4 slots? Not to mention that you can get owned by the Support Captain AoE mega-nuke just by standing there, in your S-grades.

Ban? Whats that? NCSoft actually ban people for breaking rules?

you havent been playing l2 long have you? give it another 2 years youll be aboard with us.
Sorry, I forgot that only farmers sell stuff. I bow to your greater wisdom.
And I didn't die so I couldn't give a monkey's chuff if they fix it or not. It's the idea that a mob/NPC is added to the game that seems to manage to bypass the "fix" that was put in for this some time ago that I was mainly referring to. Maybe the aforementioned fix was not as comprehensive a solution as first thought and could have other side-effects.
I've forwarded this bug report to our QA department. Thank you!
Great to hear, the issue is worst in Dion town since an fortresses is near by. For the whole week since ct1 went live many overnight shop like myself lvl 52 crafter (5 sell slot)die at least 2 time a day in Dion town near GK . lost over 60% xp and delevel, which I have gain back.
