I want to start a gladiator but I have a few questions
1.Do they wear light or heavy armor
2.Should I bother wearing Duel swords before 40?
3.Is it possible to pole to 40? (I heard VR has been nerfed in ct1)
welcome to the world of being a gladdy. many will say negatives about it, but it IS one of the most 'fun' class to play, and later on in end-game is one of the most devastating.
a few answers to ur questions.
1.they can wear both light and heavy, but heavy is recommended dont bother with light.
2.before 40 if you can find them on a good deal, get them, doesnt really matter, as the actual skills start post 40. if you can get a bonebreaker + shield, that'll be good all they way to 40.
3.not just 40, u can pole with your gladdy all the way to 75+ if you want, you get the pole masteries up to lvl8, yes you wont be able to hit as many mobs as a dorf/warlord/destroyer but you'll do ok in aoe using your two AoE skills, sonicstorm and sonicbuster. as far as the CT1 changes go, yes VR is now different, but its doable, instead of pulling two rooms, pull one, get a live healer and u good to go.
