So i had some time over so i reactivated my account to trie out the new Kamael race and the new starting area, and I got to say it was really fun.
What I really thought was fun was the instance with the garden quest. as alot of players here i also said that instancing was to wowish and would take alilte piece of Lineage away from the game.
But that has changed, the instancing was a great and fun future :D
Just whanted to drop in and say that i was happily suprised and I havent had that much fun in Lineage2 since.. well forever.

No. Instancing is a poor design. It's fun in short term, but it's bad in long term. I hope there won't be more. And yes I hate when bots are taking all the xp spots. But instancing is worse.
Well the upside to instancing is it's fun, challenging, requires good teamwork and it's bot free, the downside is there's no drops and you have limited time in there and then have a long wait before you can go back and how L2 is now you won't beable to get a good party together unless your in the 60-70 range
I take it you've never been to rift. It is not fun, challenging nor does it require any feats of teamwork and you get drops there. And can go right away again after it finishes.

I'm talking about the intancing from CT1 patch why would I talk about c3 stuff? Nearly everyone knows what happens in rift we are talking about the new intance DUNGEONS
Well, your description does not hold true in the case of Fortress Dungeons either so perhaps NARROW down your grand use of "Instances" to some Kamael only fairyland woopaloo.

Enjoy it...you wont be able to do another instance until your lvl 76+

all the fortress ones are like 60ish or 70ish, which annoyingly I can't participate and is the only way to get those knight epaulettes to trade for gear.
We get a couple on the new island, I think, but the whole coupled parties system on that island and the PvP along the way makes it hard for us to actually get in.
I agree with the OP. That Garden instance was really fun. There was needed for you to actually use your brain and figure things out... find all the gatekeepers, find the hidden doors, etc etc. It was a lot of fun, and when we finally figured it all out and got the Raid boss, defeated him, and got our reward (Puma or jewels) we were actually rather sad that there was nothing else as fun or challenging to do. IMO, they need to do more of this for all the different levels.

Wrong, use your imagination and you can get more of them faster than with the dungeons...
Still, there is nothing new to alleviate the boring grind from 22-60. *hops back on her soap box* We need some fun stuff for those in that 40 lvl range!
well I am guessing more of this content is coming and I hope it will be soon.
But I am afraid that if NC would trie this they would over do it and turn everything in to instancing. :eek:
mdt is far from being a waste. It is the best place to go and do some deals since you can port there form any non-newbie town :)

I'm not refuring to the fact you can port there for free, or that you can go pvp people in the ultra small arena.
I'm talking about betting on the races as a form of gambling.
what do you think the AMP will be, nothing but gambling, games, so on etc... a distraction from the grind. instead of improving the grind, they are trying to take our mind off it by having us spend time doing other things. Keeping us in game even longer.
On Lionna we have people who trade there an everyone else pvps in the arena and me and my clanmates trade there to save money on porting far distances also Matsumoto you have no life you can't think of anything better to do but grind to 80+? how about you take your stingy .. and do something other than grind your but off so you can beat some level 40 in pvp
the race at the derby should be deleted IMO. they should set up a few tents and turn it into a market place. keep the arena. noone fricking cares about the stupid racing monsters. whats the point? can you capture monsters to enter into the race? no. can you enter your own pet into the race? no.
its the annoying thing you have to run passed to get to the arena.
as for the amusement park theres no way it could possibly be worst than the stupid monster race. and by the way all of you who *MUST* grind to lvl 80 , subclass, repeat. .. you dont HAVE to go, just keep grinding you soloing anyway so noone gonna miss you if you not there.
They should double the size of the mrt and one the other half put a little market place there that you can buy stuff you normally can't in regular towns but not stuff you can buy in regular towns and also people can set up shops there

None, I bet 10k on a low odds racer. Evidently someone else bet 1 mil on a high odds racer(which skews the odds) before I made my bet. I won, they lost, I profit. Dont think its in that SS, but I have 1 somewhere of them yelling in shout how they lost.
grats to you so, does that same guy blow millions betting on monster race everyday? and what server are you on? derby looks empty. or at least i dont see any shops there.
I usually buy a ticket every time I am there for like 1 k or so..occasionally make 100 adena or so, but have yet to see anyone one else betting millions....and that was taken a VERY long time ago.
I get a kick out of watching the races, when I happen to be there at the right time, because they always shoot all the losers, lol. But I have never bought a ticket, and never will. I agree that the race track area should be just converted to a shop area with free teleporting to and from. (Well, OK, and keep the arena also.)
