New Dwarf Seeks help!

Dwarf Classes Started Last reply 29 posts
Hey, yes so ive made a dwarf and i am thinking of going BH over WS but im not entirely sure as yet. I was hoping for some info on what monsters to spoil alot for maximum profit and if there are guides or anything at all for me out there. Really anything at all would be a help as im quite clueless as to how i am supposed to earn some adena for my lvl 52 main.
It is just a myth that us drawfs make more money then others. In the regular day to day grind we the same as everyone else, except grouping two of us together very rare and kinda sad that it is that way. Anyways, spoil and craft are our friends.Keep all basic mats from lvl 1 to 40,find what mats make the most money,if u have the room lvl both WS and BH,one to craft/crystalize and one to get the mats.Just to warn you,in order to spoil EWB you need to be lvl 55(apostate cata, snakes), and to craft BW armor you need craft lvl 6(lvl 54).
i belive a BH would be abit better to make money with if you can find the right mobs to spoil. there is a good site out there but NCsoft dont like it.

for most things a WS can do youll find 10+ dwarfs in giran with craft shops open. and as far as i understood it on most servers your better of crafting from the recs you gather if there is a dwarf with the rec already registered. there generally aint enough crafts beeing made so that you make alot of money on craft shops.
If I was to start a new dwarf now from scratch I would had gone for a BH and not a WS
Having both BH and an up coming WS, I'd say go BH if you are only making one dwarf and save EVERY mat from the first mob you kill. If you are making 2 and dual box, then make both and lvl them together.
BH and WS make money in a different way, one may be more suitable over the other depending on your playstyle and needs. I can't tell specifically which class makes more money, alot depends on the player money making skills. Here is a short comparison, please correct me if i'm wrong.

BH Pros:
- makes money right from the start.
- makes money and gets xp at the same time (not optimal xp but still)
- requires less economic skills to be successful.

BH Cons:
- you often have to share your drops with whole party, meaning you make alot of money but not for yourself.

WS Pros:
- makes more money for people who don't have much time to play.

WS Cons:
- in opposite to BH who just farms money, WS acts as a money multiplier - you have to have money to make more money. so when you finally get a nice sum you shouldn't spend it all since you'll cut your future profits.
- it takes a while to start making money on WS, you need to have decent lvl, some recipes registered and nice sum of money for investments.
- in the same time you either make money or xp, it slows things down alot.
- very dependant on player economic skills.
make both or make none. this game HATES the dwarf. i say spoil mobs that give off mats. like bones, varnish, iron ore. until you get to the mobs that spoil B grade and up recipes, keymats, etc.
True, and we're a masochistic bunch who play ours with religious fervor.

I love when people say this, it makes me all warm n fuzzy inside. Don't listen to him.

This is based on BH, which i am.

Do some research on the mats you can spoil from where (I use stratics), and try and find the best rate for you, then find out what mats sell for a lot.

I'm currently lv 25, on JUST spoils, I can make roughly 150-200k an hour. If I spoil AND manor, I can easily break 750k an hour if I farm fast enough. I'm a BH, and by C grade, i'll prolly have enough for basic B grade, or a close-to-top B wep. I use all the resources available to me, including asking high lvl BH where they lvl'ed, and the internet, they're all there for a reason.

He was right that it is a myth that dwarfs make more adena than the other classes...at least for the WS...
Making adena depend on your play style not much abuot your class.
BH and WS save some money 'cause either they don't buy all mat or don't pay craft when they want to craft. BUT every players whatever class they are can make as much money than a dwarf if they craft items and play the market.

Dwarf have no advantage over other class to make lots of money they just let you save some little money in the process.
Show me another level 25 class that can pull 150-200k an hour without manoring...

Dwarves rock for making money. If you can't make more money spoiling than another equal level class, you're not playing right.

Warsmith, yes, they make crappy money compared to other classes :)

I'm not basing money-making as playing the market, i'm talking about farming. ANYONE can play the market and make more than a dwarf, it's not that hard. The best money maker in the game? Anyone if yer using the market.

I don't want to get into a flame war, but...

Now, I shall no longer be populating this topic :)

Ok thanks for all the replies i see BH surely wins...bit still not much advice on how to play and what and where to spoil etc but i appreciate all the info thanks guys.

edit: apologies about the external site links, wasnt aware of the seriousness of posting them. hence deleted them from here.
Lets see... How to play a dwarf. Hmm.

step 1. have fun

step 2. drink beer

step 3. spoil everything that crossed your path including but not limited to mobs, npc's and the occassional player (you cant actually spoil them, but its fun to think so!)

setp 4. be prepared to have some jerks call you a bot and pk you before even finding out whether you are or not.

step 5. corner the market and charge rediculus prices just because you can.

step 6. see step one

Welcome to dwarfdom!

/good luck, and dont forget to enjoy while grinding with the most funniest class in L2.

imo ban the link u gave : i did a search (SB dark vortex), and i had a result :
weight | adena | L2Id for L2 w****r/L2A***t

GG for the link !!

anyway, BH are money maker for a party, not for himself. Stop dreaming! Ok i spoil sometimes EWS, but eh, it's never for me, believe me... Sure, i spoil tons of S mats armor, some S weapons parts, but with those [censored] bots, i even can't sell those parts... where is the "money maker" ability?

Neither WS (i have a lvl57) can do money. I do more adenas on my stormscreamer 75 (killing faster for less bsps/SS ratio) : 1 mob give 2k adenas - 600a for bsps = 1.4k adena per mob each 5 seconds...
Posting links to sites that has adena or powerleveling advertisement or that contains links to download software that violates the EULA is a big NO NO
links from my post removed. my apologies.
I edited out the links from the quote of your post to...I should had done it when I posted it.

The 1st link you posted is my favorite site to get information from, to bad they have the advertisement on their site :(
A bounty hunter can make money but he needs to be high lvl to do that. Really there is not much that is worthwile to spoil in the D and C grade ( keymatwise ). There is no market for D grade and only very few in C ( that was different when the game came out ). By the time u can spoil low B grade recs and parts ur 52. While the few top B recs you can spoil can start at 55 ( depending if ur in group or not ) the top b key parts start at lvl 60-65.
While getting some key mats is nice if you have alt chars to get cheap equip the focus should be always to get materials for crafting. Sure there are good spoils here and there that you should try to get for extra money too.

As for playstyle i suggest get a wolf to help killing faster. While it can be hard to save him if he gets agro with a dwarf he still provides good extra damage.

Its always importend to plan forward. What kind of weapon and armor i traget next. What quests are worth getting or even help me with money. What mobs i need to spoil to get the items i need.
Knowing what mobs spoils what is the most importend thing.

Beside that look into manor too its a great way to get a lot materials you need for your crafts.
It can be usefull to make friends with higher lvl bounty hunters to get suggestions where good places to hunt are.
If you dont know some BH look around if u see soulless ppl in some aeria they are there for a reason.
Everything in L2 takes some time and a bit of research (at least).
The economy in L2 is FLUID--meaning it fluctuates. There have been times on my server (Lionna) in the past 6 months where animal bone sold for 2000+ and also when it sold for 8-900. Same with iron ore though it tends to fluctuate between about 400-800.
With a low level BH you can spoil a lot of base mats. The advantage is you don't have to buy seeds and you don't have to beat the buzzer for turn-ins.

If you get 40 AB in an hour you've made an extra 70-80k--all profit. You got the same other drops and adena and exp that everyone else got (albeit the exp comes to you a bit slower).
This can start at very low levels (but you have to look up which mobs spoil what mat on your own!).

Scavi's/BH's are not adena producing machines. They do, however, out earn usual classes if both are just hunting.
That being said, you have to do things AFTER you get the mats to prepare for riches (lol).
So you have 300 AB....do you sell or hold? Have you been watching trends? Which town? Are there more selling AB in Giran at lower prices and higher volumes?
Spoiling 3 Bsps-C recipes at lvl 36-40 can net a scavi the better part of 6 million adena on Lionna right now. You'll get loads of varnish, iron ore, and even some other base mats while you're trying for those recipes.
That is what other players can't do---be flexible within the market place. Once you buy 1000 seeds--you're best hope is to get that one base mat if you turn them in and then sell.

This is a complicated game. Asking "which makes more money" is the wrong question. Asking "HOW do I play a toon within the economy to maximimize adena" is the right question.
At least part of the answer to that 2nd question is that you have enough options to remain flexible and that you treat the L2 market as the stock exchange. Buy low-sell high. Find or create markets. Don't compete head-to-head against those you can't compete with.
Let's face it--if the 20 bot parties from the two or three biggest allys are running up 75,000 iron ore for sale per week, they influence the market beyond your control.
Spoiling or manoring for iron ore would be a relative waste of time in that situation.
Perhaps that would be the time to spoil AB or mithril ore or varnish.
When you get them, hold them. Sell when it's to your advantage. Sell in locations where others don't. Sell the most rare base mats and get premiums for small #'s of a more rare mat (selling 120 steel will make you smile :)).

It's HOW you play that earns you adena.....not necessarily which toon/class.

In other words--there are a LOT of mobs at say, Level 30. A LOT of them. There are websites to tell you which of those mobs spoil which mat. You could literally spoil every base mat if you wanted to at that level--nearly endlessly. You can spoil nearly every base mat at level 15!....and at level 20...and at level 25...and so on! I'd recommend finding a couple mobs you can kill easily solo for about 4 or 5 different mats. Spend some time spoiling on all those mobs in the different regions and collecting all the spoils. Eventually you WILL have 1000 iron ore and 1000 AB and 1000 varnish and a whole host of lesser amounts of mats. THAT is when you go to market for overnight afk sales---and sell at top rate in Dion or Aden or Goddard, skipping Giran altogether.
All some very good advice, and like Drakkos said, the market is very fluid. If i could offer 1 bit of advice to current lower level BH's it would be to always see what's in demand and selling for huge amounts of money in your range that your able to get. Currently there is a new race who is restricted to only light armor and 3 types of weapons, and the demand for mats has gone thru the roof...take advantage of that. It's been a while since lower lvl dwarves had so many opportunities to spoil keymats in such high demand.
Great advice guys! Thanks i appreciate it all. It seems most of you suggest spoiling mats and not certain items like enchants at lower lvl so ill do that.
btw if you intend to solo it might be a good idea to get a wolf for extra DD?

i havent tried using a wolf myself but as a dwarf you dont have much DD power. dunno if its really worth it though if you look at cost of equipment and upkeep.

maybe a babypet? it only heals but still usefull if you solo with little/no buffs.

maybe someone else know?
Spoil Varnish, Iron, Bone/CBP, Oriharukon ore and Enria and you're set. Try to manor at the same time too.
thats it. ching ching
How does WS compares to another class when it comes to selling shots? For instance lets say C-Shots. Let's pay 3k the crystals, 300a the soul ore and 90a for the craft at the crafters corner. Now why would a WS make more money since everyone can do that?

They do because they can carry over 50k shots, only a BH can do the same and of course because they have more selling slots, and because people are just lazy to do that, if they would do it then they would play a dwarf :)

As WS you can truely make lot of money by crafting rare items such as Brigandine Helmet. It costs you like 300k if you pay for everything and then you sell it 3M. If you farm for the helmet designs yourself it costs you even less.
