I'm trying to find info on the Apella armour sets. Is there a posting somewhere, or a page in the Library that lists the armour set bonuses, and/or the quest/hunting/drop details for obtaining the armour?
They still aren't that great, I think all they did for the improved one is add in the decrease MP usgae on skills. If you go to the Clan Trader (Rune, and Aden) and look at the armor sets it tells you all the stats on them I think.
PS: The funny thing is, unlike all the rest of the armors, Apella looks superb(imo) on every one of the 5 races, both male and female. However it is totaly worthless other than saying hey, I'm a clan leader and I like to screw my clan members over so I could get this fancy set, so come join my clan/academy as I need to +6 my Apella :p
Yeah, a sure way to get a full set is in a super-carebear pve clan that can spits out academy graduats every few days.
I would say a sure way to get one is in a major PvP clan...they seem to being able to gather rep points much faster than a pure PvE clan (I am in one and we are still working on getting clan level 7, we have all the clan skills for clan level 6 except the ones for the CP). Because a clan don't PvP doesn't mean they are gonna level more alts faster than a pure PvP clan.
How many major PvP clans don't have alt clans with academy full of bots to farm rep points? I can see bot trains of lvl 1 chars running out of the talking island village almost daily so that the clan that owns them can kill them to get the rep points.
I am sure some PvE clans is running bots to, but I would say that there are more PvP clans than PvE clans that has them because the players in PvP clans usually hates grinding.
Well, to be sure, I'm not in a Server Dominating clan, but I'd assume that most PvP clans would worry more 1st about raising clan level and getting the skills, than blowing 30K + rep points for 1 Apella suit with crappy stats.
Exactly, that's what I'm saying, the Price of Apella set is completely ridiculous that most people don't give a **** about it. It also has pretty crappy bonus set to top it off. That's why there's only a "few" sets on "some" servers" cause there were only a "few" ******es who actually bought it :p
The other day I saw a +3 Apella gloves for sale, only 250kk. Well guess what, a +6 DC/Tallum/Maj Gloves costs right about the same.
If for the same price (adenas) you can buy a +6 regular set vs a +4/3/3/3 Apella set, which would you choose?
the costs are rather extreme and the payoff is not worth it, at lest in the NA servers. population makes a large difference, in the asian servers there is probably 20 times or more ppl playing on each server so alot of ppl going through the academys both alts and new players.
We figured out that it was something like 30, 35 characters from 1-40 i9n the academy.
Alternatively, it's bombing about 1500 ballistas at random fortress sieges (no, you don't need to be signed up to do so), which will cost you about 18M adena in bombs given the success rates, can be done with disposable level 40 chars or less, and is still faster than levelling those chars.
Just killing off ballistas, half a year or so for a single player. Which, compared to the amount of time it would take the same player to gather all the mats needed for an A-grade armour set (and some of them multiple times because of the failures) isn't all that much time.
