I understand that the reward is a nice idea and all that.
However I see nothing but bad in this reward. (Yes, I most be a doom-thinker).
It sounds to me it can be missused more then of what we as a community might gain from it. Like this hero system another threat is advocating that it should be removed from the game as it is.
So again my suggestion:
Fix things first before adding even more stuff.

Agreed - Alrya - please in the future, before posting info about Events - please make sure that all the info is available - it just makes NC look bad, and they do a good job with that without stuff like this.
Gustin can reach.. Hmm maybe 50-60 raiding clans with alt clans included of course. So thats a win - win situation. Nice idea. Rep points is hard to come by when in a small clan. Even though I assume its gonna be like 10 rep points for the 100th and 2000 pts for the 1st..

just another question about who will get bonus reputation points; top 100 is based on (existing) 'reputation point'-ranking or on (new) 'raid points'-ranking? because any clan of any lvl can earn raid points .... :)
How does this work? Since people leave and join clans throughtout the month? Is it based on the last clan they are in on the last day of the month sort of like hero is the clan your in the day u take hero?
I'm pretty sure it keeps a tally of the amount of Raid Points the clan gets over the month period by its members, and not by adding up all the raid points at the end of the month of its members.
I would also assume since they are getting something for the raid points each month that all counters on the raid points be dropped back to zero or it will always be the same clans who get these points from now on to forever. This also will give those clans that are up and coming a chance at these same benefits especially if they are becoming more and more active.
Pretty sure that raid points were always reset each month, otherwise I would like to open a GM ticket that my points keep getting reset at the end of each month.
This is a nice addition. It will encourage clans to raid (which increases clan organization and strength and member wealth) and helps the smaller clans get clan rep points. I particularly like how NCSoft made it the top 100 clans, not the top 10 or 25, so that the wealth is spread down past the top/uber clans.

how often do raids actually drop the full weapons?
Don't think it'll change anything drastically
Raids don't even drop alot of parts anymore, so it really wont affect the economy all that much. Alot of the higher bosses get done already as they lvl crystals, or have quests that can give clan rep.
My hunch is it won't be a new easy way to get lotsa CRP, that the bonus CRP from this won't be so huge as to lay low the practices of academy and sieging.

Raid farmers gonna own a lot of those raid points! But I still welcome the addition. Finally those points are worth something.
My friends (3 of them) made 4 destroyers to doing raid bosses and support behind them all active played with everyone 2 boxing sometimes 3 boxing like a pp etc.. did low level raids all the way up.. they topped Kain points on all 7 toons for 7 months straight. Raid farmers got nothing on that
That's a healthy chunk of points, regardless.
I'm pleasantly surprised that the devs would give so many crp for a group activity. I guess when I write it, it makes good sense to give crp for raiding, but myself I thought we'd be grinding 0-40 academy throw-aways ad infinitum.
I have some more info on the raid point ranking system (and will be adding this info to the website at some point). This system awards the top 100 Raid Point-earning clans on each server bonus Clan Rep. Points once a month. These points are awarded during the first regularly scheduled maintenance of the month.

lol, I was referring to kayonsi, with his insanely high level carechters in his signature and claiming to be top raid rankings every month with 'his' party.........
I like the idea, I hate the weighting towards the top. I do agree that it will be the same top 10 clans getting something they don't need or use. The top clan on Bartz right now has 88k of rep points. They really don't need another influx of those since they are getting the Heroe's rep points in addition.
Now, if maybe the bottom clans started out at around 100 or so and went up in groups of 100 or so with the max being no more than 1000, both giving cudos to those top raiding clans and giving something to the up and coming clans would have had a better balance.
problem is the rift boss...some clans hide in rift and do 10 times each day anakazel and earning 270 raidpoints each kill!!! thats way to much cause u can kill that boss with a bunch of lowbies as long as u have good healer/buffer/dancer
others clans doing "real" bosses and get 40 points per kill for longhorn and stuff. so NC wants us to farm the rift bosses for getting 2 saint spear blades and if u lucky a brez each kill with a 1% chance of lvl'ing a cry from 12 to 13?

Yes, the personal ranking has nothing to do with the CLAN raid ranking. And the reputation point ranking on the clan info tab also has nothing to do with the clan RAID ranking. Quite simply, there is no way to see what raid rank (or at least within what range of raid ranks) your clan is without closely watching the reputation points before the downtime and immediately afterwards, to see how many points you gained.
I like the whole idea, I just think the points should be distributed differently, so that No 10 gets 400 CRP, 11-20 get 200, 21-40 100, 41-60 50 and 61-100 25 CRP.
This is only once a month, so I guess it is ok for clans in the middle to get a few more points. Also it seems wrong that the No 10 gets only 100 and the 11-50 just 50 points. So if you are among the best raiding clans (not THE best), you may receive anywhere from 600-50 CRP.... It is a big difference.
Also it would be nice to add a feature, so that you can check the clan ranking. Should not be hard either, since all you have to do is add individual rankings.
Alyra, have these rep points been added yet from today's maintenance? If so, then I'm really curious how you guys are tallying up clan raid points. A lot of my clan members were ranked in the top 200, yet our clan didn't get any rep points added today.

i was thinking the same thing yesterday after maintance .... but i would be surprised either if it's the top 100 players and not the top 100 clans. somehow i have the feeling ncna messed up something again :confused:
