Once they drop the crystals will force anyone in the vicinity to come pick them up. Dying to a group mob? Too bad, you have to pick em up. Now in pvp if someone drops one of these crystals everyone will be forced to stop what they are doing and run to pick up the crystal. It cuts through and cancels hero UD so that the hero can come save the poor crystal.
