I think that this is vague enough to not go into the Players Question section, so I'm posting it here.
I'm curious about the whole S80 thing. I must say that I've not played PTS to see the recipe details, but I know that it mentions Orichalcum and/or Leonard as some of the items needed to craft it.
I've been hunting for about a week now on the new island, and save a few Shards and elemental stones here and there, I've not had a single drop of these new mats and they seem to be regular drops like the shards instead of a special quest item thing.
So I'm wandering, how long would it practically take to actually be able to get enough shards/mats and 60% craft attemps at getting a full S80 set?
Guess answers are acceptable too :p

Exactly, I remember a post where back in C3 or something, the Koreans complained that their WH's were full of gear, so they wanted a reduction in Drop rates or something stupid to that matter. :eek:

Another thing you have to remember is that koreans do not expect b grade at 52, a at 61 and s at 76. Hence why most of the time the place your hunting drops mats for the level that is below you.
In NA and EU we want everything NOW 'OMGZORZ your 64 in b grade %*$@!"
S80 is something new and some thing thats supposed to be very rare, I am sure than as time goes on it will be easier to get as usual. The only thing all people here can do is wait, or start a petition to get NC NA to negotiate for rights on how to program rates etc much like SEA did for there new Philippine servers.

I bet you would be shocked if you learned that they to want the same things that us here in the US/euro want out of the game, yet the DEV's/chairman refuses to let us have.
You have to ask your self, why use low grade if you can use high grade. Better atk dmg, better DF, better SA's, why use low grade at all? diversity is really the only reason to, or perhaps a SA thats not offered on high grade. Why do you think that every one uses top D weapons, Brig sets. Every one uses the best of the best that can get them lvls faster and faster.
S80 is just made really really hard to obtain. Literally takes months, but then again NCsoft set it up to be highly difficult. Adding 2 new crafting materials, 60% only rec's. and max lvl of 80 to use it.
Uhh.. a new player won't have the resources to get B at 52 or A at 61.. that's why, unless they aquire adena through other means (rarely do you see someone who is that crafty at such low levels ^^)

Im 79 Titan, have ~ 1,5k shards, 13 Leonards, 7 Oricalcium, lot of Fire stones. And I ALWAYS duo with live buffer (he got ~ same amount of shards/mats ). And Titans not most efective class in open field.
Im sure if Ill stay in Isle till LVL80 (70% left) Ill easy get enough shards for 2 sets of recipes. Or even more.
The problem is key parts... If key parts will be quest - only too. I pray it will be spoilable in Hellbound.
320 Leonards for Jewelery set, not remmember about Ori for armor set.
BUT L2 wh(why l 2 w h is censored?) say, Leo/Ori drops better deeper in Isle. Most of the time I was hunting lower mobs for Fire stones. And we still have no idea about Hellbound or Kamael+
Well, the problem is, bots can and do farm Isle of Prayer. But if everytime you need to get to Hellbound, you gotta run the quest, I don't think there will be many trains farming on Hellbound.

With the new quests, thats not actually true anymore.
I mean, you can get B recipes before your even B grade... all it takes is a single Damascus Recipe and your in top B armor.

A single Damascus recipe that drops from a level 64 mob.. GL! now if you said Plated Leather boots drop, that would be more realistic. You just need to be lucky or smart to be able to do it, most newbies aren't. That's why they're newbies!

to get to hellbound you need to do a very annoying quest which includes killing baylor in the crystal caves instance aka killing 3 raids in total and i seriously doubt farmers are going to spent time & resources on that.. they will just sell the key mats like leo/ori & elemental stones heavily overpriced to reach their targets
The Kris recipes aren't nearly as high as the damascus ones (and yes, you can get the damascus ones). However, that's sheer luck.
On Lionna at the moment unfortunately material prices seem a bit deflated, otherwise a healthy manor can easily pay for anything up to and including B Grade. Once you've come that far, scraping together the money for A armor shouldn't be a problem, and once you're in that, looking around for A Grade weapons is a matter of time.
All this provided, of course, you don't sell your old gear. ^^
PS: I have complete DC robes, almost complete maj plate set (which is currently lent out), two Kris's for sale that I have yet to try moving (but will soon) and ~170mil at level 58. If in doubt, rerolling can keep you so well cushioned you'd go stupid. :)

They farmed RB's when it was worth it, they farm AQ and Zaken...
And they already in Isle.
At least b.o.t.ing is hard in Isle. Max 2 ppl in party... U can have OOP healers/buffers, but BD+SWS+sfew daggers now impossible. Most b.o.t parties in Isle - nukers+oop support.
Quest sure is anoying... But when smbody will have shards for lets say 10 recipes (um, 3-4b easy imho) he will do quest for sure.

Nope I am no Korean, but although I definitely cannot speak for the Korean player base as a whole, I can tell you that i actively play on Korean servers and interact with lots of the players. So I can say I definitely have a much better understanding of the community there than 99% of the people that post here.

The quest is for level 46 characters. The mobs are of similar level. GG. (Influx of Machines)
An yes, to the poster that posted below you, you CAN get Damascus recipes from it, so no need to "fix" it. Top B *is* gotten from it as well.
Thats not even mentioning Seductive Whispers, which is where most of these Damascus Recipes are coming from, NOT from Malruk's. You get that quest @50, and the mobs certainly arent level 64 either. (Some are, but others are 48+)

I never got a top B recipe from the influx quest, but then it could be a very low chance, I don't know. From the spirit bead quest I *did* get several top B recipes so far though, Demon's sword, BoP and even a Damascus (which is now part of my tallum*dama duals :) ). Chances for a recipe are not all that bad.

Its correct, influx can give top B.
I have no idea what the chance is TBH, but I've gotten a Dama from it.
Typically run it on the main and dragger at the 50 level where rifts become a pain in the azz due to lack of B.
Wasn't aware that you could get top B recipes from that quest as well, you got me there, but from what people say here you need to be as lucky as getting it from a malruk :P
I've never seen a Top B Rec from that quest, and I have seen it completed over 20 times by now through various clannies, so if it does give Top B, its rare cause I have never seen or heard anyone getting a Top B from it.

I got a 60% aoba, and 60% BoP from it 3 days ago.
but not gotten anything else since then, beginners luck imo.
I tried this quest but it was too slow for my taste unless you're poling. I've watched a poling bot there for the last 3 months. Amazing what these programs can do.
