Friday night downtime? Nice job...
It was just after the auction started.

Has something to do with that, I wonder?
Patch notes say something about Clan Leaders not being able to retrieve something from their castle warehouse.

I'm lazy and I don't want to go back there to read it again.
no lvl 9 clan who cares!

Yeah, I saw that after I posted. Here it is:

January 11, 2008
We will be bringing down all Lineage II servers on Friday, January 11 at 5:20 PM Central Time (12:00 AM GMT+1) for a brief maintenance. We expect the downtime to last 30 minutes. The following changes will be made during this maintenance:

Clans

* An issue that was resulting in Clan Leaders not being able to retrieve Blood Alliances from the Castle Warehouse Keepers has been fixed.

And I agree with Artie. This doesn't matter. Should have waited until Tuesday.

no lvl 9 clan who cares!

I certainly don't, but for NCsoft is an EMERGENCY!

ZOMG!
wow they brought down the servers for just that ?
You can turn them in for rep points too. At least they fixed something.

And they couldn't have waited till normal maintenance time, right? :p
well seiges are tommarow for some servers
The Blood Alliances (or whatever they are called) are earned each time you defend a castle, and you could theoretically get them each siege period since CT1 went live. But the bug prevented castle owners from getting them. So some clans are "due" several items now - and if they get sieged this weekend and lose their castles, they will never be able to get them again. So I have to agree that it WAS a pretty important fix this time. Getting one Blood Alliance item means you have to defend a castle, which means holding a castle at least two siege periods if you just got it, or 6 siege periods total (3 months) for all the items needed to lvl up the clan. So losing a few siege periods since the start of CT1 definitely hurts a bit, simply due to the time lost. I would be quite angry if I was a clan leader holding a castle for a long time now, lost the castle this weekend and next Tuesday they would put in this bugfix.
Would anyone happen to have any idea how many rep points those blood alliances are worth ?
100 each iirc
