I have started a human mistik with idea of beeing Warlok... But after that i started to read about it. I realise this will be too expensive \my first toon\. And now i dont know what to do. Every one badmount about sors and necro i too expensive to. PLS give me some advice. I like Sumoner but i dont know can i afort it ? Or just go for Sors necro ??? :confused:
go summoner, if you play smart its not that expansive toon, dont use cubics and your own shots, just pet shots and crystals for summon, use cheap armor/weapon...and you can nuke till your high 4x-50lvl easily with Blaze and decent nuker equip anyway
Summoners can be the most expensive class, but also one of the cheapest. I know someone who's currently running around in NG armor on their 4x summoner because it's basically retired and they're too lazy to re-equip it.
Plus, summoners are great manor toons. =P That's a big plus.
I would have to agree with Nya and Maline. If you truly like the summoner class, you should be able to get by and probably be able to make a decent profit too. The most expensive way to level for a summoner is to set both the summoner up and their summon to be the most effective DDs that is possible. In contrast playing the cheap healer role is the cheapest way to lvl as one.
Also after you hit 56 get into as many melee/archer/pole parties as you can. Sooner or later you'll be making the big bucks and be able to afford more then you need.
-Any- class in this game is expensive, unless you are smart in how you play it. Money is something that a lot of people in this game struggle with. But, the ones who have figured it out, will usually share the secrets with everyone else. Do your homework, and you should be fine.
Summoner is the single best choice for poor people, because they can still level (slowly) without downtime or too much hassle with no consumables other than crystals, which are easily covered out of plain drops, don't need equipment upgrades etc.
I'm working on a PS alt atm, its currently only lvl 35. but I'll get to 56 and stop there.
I plan on subing Warlock (I'm light elf main, so what I can sub is limited).
I blew about 2mil in striped linen shirts, giving me about 1300 D crys which I plan to put into my summoners. I recently started doing some nice quest.
you can do spirit beads at lvl 50, and you can do a quest in pavel ruins for B grade 60% recs. Can farm AA from cata's.
you can lvl with out shots on 1X hp mobs.
The problem with necro is there is a ton of resist dark, and resist dark mobs. But Necro is still a good pvp class.
My Phantom Summoner is almost 56. I agree completely with Maline about summoners and their ability to manor. I've made several million just casually manoring even non-prime seeds. The summons are pretty powerful and can take quite a beating. Hunt with him in Enchanted Valley and can survive a pull of 3-4 mobs.
