your better off with buy low sell high, and small crafts that are cheep. I recumend crafting mid A/g weapons for income, the parts are pretty cheep, only the recs and the basic mats could be a issue.
also keep yours eyes open for things like: life stones (any grade), GHP's, AA, GSAP's. if you see a spike in AA then most consumables will increase as well.
Infact bartz is inflated atm, which is nice sense the last 2 chronicles has been seriously a buyers market and not a sellers market, and not people who want to sell stuff can. While there are certain things that you can buy now that which has droped in price, and will soon go back up in price (sorry can't comment on what that is).
but I don't think buying crys to make SS is a good idea. IMO!!!

In my server you can buy D crystals for around 682 adena each from the NPC. Soul Ore is around 300 adena each. So each SSD you craft costs you in CT1 10.14a and usual selling price is 13a-14a. Each time you find cheaper crystals or ore, you can make more profit.
This is not a full analysis, but it shows there is profit. As the previous posters pointed out, it is like a real world investment scheme: it is risk-free so it has a low return.
Try to understand what Matsumoto said. I think there is a good guide in player guides as well. Selling DSS is slow , but you make some money nonetheless
When I dont have sth valuable to sell I just craft and sell some ssb. I crystalize drops or I craft and crystallize; I never buy crystals from other players.

here's the math:
for the player that buys SSD at 12a and refuse to craft at 936a:
936a / 468 shots per click = 2a per shot
12a SSD marked price - (10a material cost per shot + 2a craft cost per shot) = 0a
for the WS selling and/or having a craft shop:
10a material cost per shot * 468 shots from 1 click = 4680a
12a SSD sell price * 468 = 5616a
5616a gotten from selling SSD for 12a each - 4680a craft cost = 936a profit
936a craft craft price for SSD - 936a profit from crafting and selling = 0a
Make a buy shop for your crystals instead of buying from sells shops unless you know it is really cheap. Also making your own buy shop can save you from getting scammed especially when you're sleepy.

Surely some will, some won't, also depends on how tired/distracted you are. If you just came from a 3 hour grind session, yeah, your not as alert as you was when you logged in.

difference is mainly that with a craftshop you have to stand there and wait for mana on the dorf to regen if you want more than a few 1000, whereas a craftshop you can buy a hundred thousand in an instant and be off if you so desire.
The soulshot business is a bad one, not because the profit is bad, it's pretty good, 20-30% profit. But oh my god it takes forever to make any decent amount of shots, whereas buying/selling gear you can get a lot of adena quickly, and it doesn't take up as much weight as shots do for the same amount of money.
I just hate the way you can't put up prices with decimals. when dealing in SSD undercutting someone means shaving 10% off your profit, and thats a lot when you're only getting 20-30%
Well, it depends what you consider as "money". When my crafter was a newbie I was making 200k per night from D shots in Oren. Now I have better things to do and make shots only for my own use but some ppl says making A shots is very profitable business.

Look at my level...the same thing goes for C, B, A and S grade shots. For S grade shots I can make 40-50 adena per shot I sell, but when I try to get 700a per click to craft 350 SSS ppl refuse to craft.
700a / 350 = 2a per shot
but ppl still buys them from me for a price that is equal to:

What they pay you for is not only the shot itself.

-the time you spend so they don't have to
-the convenience of only converting adena to SS, and not adena->crystals and ore->SS

Rohrrim is right. (And I can justifiably say that, I have a 75 WS.) I might make 200-300k a day from shots. 500k if someone crafts some tat jewels. All the S weapons and armor have a set price on Hinde, and I'll never make enough to justify booking the ketra recs I've gotten instead of selling them.
Side note: I stopped selling shots a long time ago. I don't have that kind of time to sink into lineage for such -_- profit.
Selling vs crafting shots is like buying beer in real life.
If you saw a 6-pack of beer in your grocery store for $20, you'll hardly think that's a good price. But at a nice club you'll pay more than that, happily (altho hopefully you don't drink 6 at a time).

i made 500 mil in 3 months selling a shots on hinde. i was so ****** that my main had to pay exoribitant prices to those overweight greedy bastages that i set out to bring the market to its knees. ill tell u what u need:
15mil (assuming u can make 200k a ss with that)
5-10 dwarfs in giran with a ss in craft shop
1hr to craft
as long as it costs 300-400 per craft its only 1-1.5 adena /shot extra to craft off of dorfs in giran. u send one of your other chars to aden . freight to aden sell in aden. MAKE SURE U ARE ALWAYS THE CHEAPEST!!!! as long as you sell for only 6-8 above what u craft(which makes you 1.2-1.5 mil a day) ull sell out in no time. i was up to selling 600-800 k on week days and over 1mill a ss /day on weekends. i crashed the a ss market from 103 when i started to 80 when i left. cuz other dorfs have regulated the market now its stablized at 80-90/ a ss but trust me it works!!!!! and for those of you on hinde going who are you.... if u remeber buying a ss in the summer from any dorf with the title Canadian Wal Mart thats me. tseralyn, oneyedgramps, and kimmygathermutch

On my WS, I would craft while hunting, by the end of a few sessions would have 100k+ shots in w/h for selling at overnight afk shop.
I also created a lvl 1 dwarf I left in Dwarven village as a freighter - I would freight her adena, she would buy ore form store there - cheapest in game - and freight it back to WS.
Another good method for making money is seven signs - sell half of your AA for 3-4 a right now, make about 500k a day easy - I just made under 2 mil today doing that.
