suggestions

Hi all,

Im a returning lineage 2 player who's been back for about 4motnhs, started back in c2 then stopped for 2 years then came back for interlude. Been playing alot as of late and could do with some pointers as im up to the point in the game, where i have never crossed before. Currently i have a 52 PP, 43 Ty and a 41 SPS with a HE and SE on the way. Im a bit stuck as to where and how to level my PP (only really want 56 for final lvl 3 buffs) so he can buff my alts. He's wearing full +4 avadon robes weilding a crystal staff w/mana up for buff rounds.

Ive tried the whole battle prophet thing and didnt really find it rewarding enough to solo fully. In the past i have solo'd all the way to 50 but now im finding it incredibly hard to gain any decent xp anywhere. The PP is set up for cast speed with +4 wit/-4 int and +4 con/-4 str to last a bit longer. anyone got any good ideas as to how i can lvl him to 56 quickly... money isnt a problem since i have been collectiing for about 4months (had equipment from 2 yrs ago) and i had a couple of very lucky raid drops... He did have battle set up going with strength +4/-4 con with +4 Tsu/SLS for crit wearing BW heavy, and I've tried doom too but neither gave me any decent xp. Also tried it with bezerker sword w/focus and SLS w/Focus and shield.

Anybody got any good tips for me or suggestions on where i can get fastest exp at 52?

Go to Apostate catacomb and get a party.

ok cool, ive tried patriots with +4 int dyes before and that helped a little but found my uptime was pretty rubbish and mana management sucked.

Im assuming that at apostate i would be there purely to buff a party?

i do use him properly, i raid weekly with him as a support healer/buffer for 2 party+ raids. But i also use him to buff my alts on my other account and to sell items.

Find an archer and duo in Valley of Saints.

have an HE on the way at the moment for that exact thing, but he's only 36 at the moment. Want to get the PP to 56 to give the HE best ability to lvl the fastest and become my main, so as to lvl my PP faster, if that makes sense...

Here's a cliff notes breakdown on the post I made above:

I mean the fastest way to level your PP to the level you want for the desired buff set, is for you to find an Archer(someone else, other than yourself, who will play the Archer while you'll play your PP running around and buffing/healing the archer) and DUO with it in Valley of Saints.

Or you can go back to the Battle Prophet thing and come back in a few days complaining more about the "grind". Which by the way, 76+ is where the real grind starts. You have a long way to go till you hit the 'real' grind.

yeah, lol, dont get me wrong im not complaining as such about the grind, i would nt play Lineage if i didnt enjoy it. Its just frustrating sometimes, thats all :). i'll give it a whirl and let you know how i fair.

Both of you need to stop posting your off topic rubbish about buff pets. There is only a few noobs like your selfs who post about it! while every one else is enjoying the game. Get over it already. :eek: :D

as for the OP. find a pole party that wants to lvl fast in apos, sub in as a support healer, you can get to 58 from 52 in like 3 days in a decent XP group. IE: 5 or less people.

went VoS with a 52 archer (same lvl as me) for about 3 hours fully buffed and 2 shotting everything after rooting it, only made 5% exp. doh.
gonna pop into catas today i think and give it a shot, 13k exp per mob so should lvl fast providing all the rooms aren't taken.

To 58 from 52 that means moving up from 52 to 58, read that again :p.And 3 hours for 5 %... ?? That's so wrong it's not even funny, at 55 one can make 11-12 percent solo with a boxed SE easy on a buff round !(and even this is BAD i assume...)

I was making ~6% in a buffround when I was exping in VoS, around lvl 65 or so, been a while.. so 5% in 3 hours sounds very wrong :O

@OP seems that playing the PP active bites you a bit. Why not play your Archer instead? Drag your PP o.o.p. along till your archer gets in the lvl range of the PP. Hook 'm up in party till 56 and your done. No more struggling on playing the PP.

Not sure in what meaning do you use word noob, but i wouldnt call myself noob, not ingame noob neither forum noob.
Do you think I dont enjoy the game. If I wouldnt enjoy it, I wouldnt play it. I enjoy this game, but i find some things broken, so I post about it to get attention of someone who can eventualy do something about that (not to mention that I actualy doubt anyone will do anything w/ it, but still, why not post, its forum ) Get over it already.

buff pets aren't bad. and some of us are tired of hearing you gripe about how poor you cause of buff pets.

there is nothing wrong with having buff pets. its the simple fact of people who act like a child and are so selfish they wont XP with any one else.

while that doesn't apply to every one with a buff pet, there are some, and you seem to accuse any one that has a buffer on auto follow to be bad.

I'll tell you if you want to play at any lvl above 52 you need to have buffs, if it means carting around a buff pet then so be it.

I'd rather have a buffer follow me then wait 4 hours to find a XP party that has a buffer in it, and get only 5% in 3 hours grind time.

right i may have exaggerated a little bit, it was more like 8% in 3 hours. TBh the archer i was paired with was slow, always forgetting hawkeye and constantly resting for mana. Didnt help he wanted buffs every 18 minutes so they didnt roll, and i was havign to root everything, heal him, and reroot mobs he couldnt kill fast enough. I think it would have been nicer xp if he was faster. I did go to catas again and get a good 25% exp in a few hours partied with a warlord and SPH which wasnt too bad. still looking for a decent party if anyone wants a standard buffer to group with.

I agree with you, buffpets are not cause of the problem but result...dont read "buffpets are bad" as "2boxing is bad"...its just much easier to say "buffpets are bad" than "ncsofts class balancing is that bad that players have to make more accounts just to enjoy his main cuz very little amount of ppl is willing to play such class as PP and SE thus forcing ppl to 2box those buffers"...read between lines, I 2box myself nowadays -.-

end of day, due to nerfs and the general grind of L2, people require buff pets to make any sort of fast progress on the game, those of us have have retired and returned dont want to spend hours and hours grinding when its easier with full buffs. its hard to find a PP/SE who is willing to follow you around and buff you constantly, thats why we have our own buffers to save us the hassle so we can get back down to playing the game properly.
