Hi everyone, just wanted to say thanks to the admin that accpeted me into your community, i've been reading the forum daily for a few weeks now and finally decided to join :)
Quick question...im running a 2 box setup at the moment (since i have a 5x PP and SE on each account) and I have trouble switching between screens using alt+tab. I read about the alt+enter scenario and running them in windows, i thought great. Set it up and although its a bit small i can manage, however whenever i return to full screen mode the target window isnt visable. I assume its so far up the screen i can't see it or drag it down, so now i cant see the colour of mobs and how much damage im dealing to them :(
ye s'pose that's the other option, i dont like how everything has to overlap though, i only really use if for trading iemts between accounts once a week and when buffing a group. ah well, grin and bear it i suppose.
i alt+enter and stretch the window to almost full screen leaving the windows task bar exposed you can click the other client from there, i still get lag issues from this but its much less than alt + tab. and if the gamma goes dark click on an empty part of the task bar and back again on the game window. of coarse the ideal for 2boxing is to have 2 boxxes (2 computers).
ill have to try allwine's method and see if it works well.
if you running vent or another program though alt + tab might bring that up instead, could be deadly if you need a quick heal from your SE.
i dont have trouble with lag tbh (my rig is ample enough to run 2 l2 accounts easily) the trouble im getting is when i want to play one account, or need to go full screen or change size, the target box at top of screen is no where to be seen. So i cnt see much to do with monsters etc.
I guess I'll dual box when Aion comes out then as I've to buy a brand new computer by that time :p
As for your problem, I had the same when switching play between laptop and desktop. All icons would move place as resolution wasn't the same. As stated before, I just clicked on the initialize button in the options and everything was fine again.

go to system options, game tab, click initialize. you will have to move all your boxxes and hot bars back where you want them but your target window will be visable again.
one other thing, the system remembers where all your boxes/status windows etc from the last client closed. So close the client (that you want to keep everything in order) last.
Another note when alt tabbing, I alt tab a few times before I start to play so the it saves those executions in main memory. this is a must for sieging/pvp etc. Dont forget to alt+p for better video performance too.
P.S. I bought a 22" HD wide screen monitor, so I just keep both clients open next to each other.
what resolution you use for your desktop and your L2 clients allwine?
1680x1050 for desk top. The L2 client is adjusted for best fit. When I am just leveling in run my main screen at about 80% of total screen size. If I am sieging I run both screens equal size and side by side.
I just want to comment on this. As far as i've been able to accomplish, puting a 2nd client on the secondary monitor in windows xp (dunno about vista) results in lag and mouse clicks are not registered correctly so you click one place and it sends you running off to 'ol blue yonder.
that's not what I was trying to say. Was talking about having 2 clients on one computer, each run on a seperate monitor. if you have dual displays and 2 accounts, try it sometime. For me, the client on the secondary display device doesn't seem to actually click where I tell it to. It doesn't seem to be a temporary thing either, as I have never been able to get it to work correctly.
