This is just to say that if you see me shouting in game on any server about L2marketplace.com , don't make a petition to a GM lol, any names or threads I mention are purely to help players shift their slow selling items.
I was on Erica today and one of my members asked for me to not mention his name any more just incase.
Sad state of affairs but he's right and I respected his wishes.
Btw, Giran on Erica had only 8 crafters ! So I started a dwarf lol, only to crash out between char changes.
Fansites are generally excluded. But the GM's might not really know about l2marketplace.
Fansites are excluded if I recall what Alyra said to me.
I don't think anyone knows about my L2marketplace lol.
I usually mention it to friends and clannies in game and word of mouth. I happened to try and help a member move some stuff this time.
Maybe my choice of name was a bit awry.
I was having the clantitle "www.lineage2.de" when fooling around with Mistryl on Test Server. I guess, she would have told me, if that would have not been allowed ;)
l2marketplace might easily be confused with a certain l2.. website, that was once a fansite and got removed for handing out sniffers. We all know, how good the GMs are up to date about things ;)
Welcome to Aperture Science. We hope you enjoy or stay. Your companion cube is in the next room. Please step this way.
As for shouting the website:
If you are on your paid account you should be alright. If you are reported it will pass throught the hands of several GMs and I'm sure at least one of them will give you the pass. ;) Please do not use a trial account to do this! You will lose it.
Obviously the shouting of URLs in game is something the GMs are very weary of. A lot of time is speant in game removing those adena whisper guys. Not to mention we still have farmers that are either shouting on accounts they planned on losing or stealing ex-customers accounts (you get what you pay for when you powerlevel) and using them to advertise.
So long story short. If you are shouting a URL I can guarantee you have been reported and a GM has looked at the issue within the hour. If your toon has not been silenced and sent to the GM pit you should be ok.
Can I buy a "blessed scroll of 'get out of jail free'" first pleeeeeeze ? ;)
Or can I make a fire and forget char to see the pit and run around freely with my other chars still ? ;)
Oh and Spam, while you are here.. What about advertising in clan title, without ever shouting it ? I would guess it takes longer time to get reported, but still.... would I go to the pit for it or is it OK, to silently advertise a listed fansite ?

Unlisted Kitten
As much as I would like to say that we do not allow any URLs at all to make my life easier, that rule is not realistic. Fansites are ok in titles.
The only time that anyone would ever see the pit is if the site looked like a bad site at first glance.
Since this issue has not come up very much in the past you should not worry about it too much. :) If for some reason a mistake was made I would personally ferry you back across the river Styx.
Well, I do not advertise out site on my clan title anymore for a while anyway, but figured, it could not hurt to make sure about it, as I normally use it on the PTS.
