I have just discovered Lineage 2 and have only played a couple days. I have pretty much talked to no one in the game and am not in a clan. What sort of character are you playing, if you've played other mmo's what do you enjoy. Also look up the clan forums, many clans would be happy to invite you to an academy ( a special part of clan for pre 40 toons).
Everything in L2 is about clans so finding one that fits you will be the difference between you quitting in a month and becoming a hopeless addict like the rest of us.
If you have already chosen a server, then your next step would be to post on the forum for that server and in the recruitment thread for that server.
L2 is a pretty mature game so the low levels are pretty empty, given the HUGE land mass to get lost in from L1 to L20. (A bit less 20 to 40) and past that it's a bit more concentrated although it's still easy to miss people not too far away.
If your looking for in-game recruiters, it seems like Dion is the place to be these days. (At least on my server.)
I play eq2 as and i have played shadowbane(one of the reasons I bought L20 I have played eq 1, swg, tabula rasa(short lived), lotro, guild wars, ddo, etc. Seasoned mmo player, but haven't been able to find one i liked besides eq 2 in a long time. I am on that server currently, but would be happy to leave the server because I only have 3 toons so far on that server, tryin to find what i like to play. Please pm me if you have a good clan and are mature. I am a 24 year old male, so i don't want to be playing with a bunch of middleschoolers. In addition it looks like I will be a dark elf fighter or a elven mystic. Most likely the dark elf fighter though.
