[Complaint] Don't DC me when my time expires!

my other account, is supposed to be playable until the 6th. it is still only 10pm here. yes, i know time zones differ, but that is the exact reason why you SHOULDN'T DC people when their time expire!! you have probably caused me a death!

You don't DC when your time expires, using sell shop i know some people who've gotten an extra day or two out of their month.

nope. i got dced and when i tried to connect, said usage term expired.

You know, you can get DC'd for many reasons. Up until now atleast, you have staid ingame even after expiration.

then why is it that that one account got dced and not my second? because i was right there, and i was on vent too, my internet was working fine, and all of a sudden my one account stop responding and then i get message saying that i got disconnected.

Yeah it happens that only one account dc's not much that can be done about it, anyhow, why complain if you run out of paid time anyway? (they want to make money not let people play for free)

Your PC sucks then, or your (most likely) wireless network DC'ed for a sec.

the account could have expired hours earlier.
I've had 1 account DC while my other one stayed on.

I've had 5 accounts on at the same time and some of them randomly DC. Now, I normally 2/3 box, and I've experienced a random DC on 1 or 2 clients many times, and there's nothing wrong with my internet.

This reminds me of an incident we had back in the days...
One of our clannies had his account expired three days ago.
He'd been online since then and had not been dc'd.
Then we started to do our quest to become clan level 4? (the one where the leader is poisoned and 3 others must kill stuff) and he was one of the toons that was chosen to do the quest. While running (yes, running, we ran everywhere to save money) to do the quest he got dc'd...

You should've been listening to our Vent then.... Quite amusing :)

Another clannie paid his account for the next month with his cc and we got to finish the quest.

I have this happening a lot of times to me too. I usually 2 box and one of the clients DC. But I am pretty sure they dont DC if your account expires.Maybe they changed in CT1 idk.

2 of the only times I happened to forget to renew my buffers account it got dc. bad luck?

If you are signed in using the account and user name etc. I do not think that they are able to force d/c.

However once you sign off the account is disengaged.

I thought it worked something like trying to call someone when they're on the phone.. you can't.

If your account is engaged, ie. your online. I don't think they can disconnect you.

They can shut down their server but that would be a bit pointless.

Happened to me all the time. Out of three accounts running on the same computer, one would randomly disconnect. Never had my account expire while playing, though.

Yea, since the launch of CT1 I get a lot more DC's then I had before - keeping a craft shop up over night has about the same success rate as me OE'ing weapons (which has suxed - failed 4 times going +3 to +4.. in a row)

And it is very easy for them to boot you off the server - ther e is a thing called "Kill Session", in less than 2 secs they can boot you off (that goes for any system/application over the web, not saying that I know how it works on L2 servers).

The only time I notice a lot of DC is when I sit in high traffic areas or when I try to undercut farmer prices and sit next to them. The second one makes me scratch my head sometimes.

THey can boot you for the server if they feel like it. Pretty sure they don't though even in the case of a ban. Some intrepid people have gotten the ban email while still in game and traded gear before they exited.

However if for some reason they do DC you now (somehow) because your gametime is expired, it would be nice if all of your toons were moved to the nearest town or village (this was the only point i could find in your complaint, sorry).

If you run multiple accounts then porting both simultaneously often leads to disconnects. Also sometimes your room mates reset the modem. During olympiad.
