Please make Gustin a new European server. We have a TON of Europeans who stay up to ridiculous hours of the night(morning really) in order to siege and compete in the Olympiad. It's ridiculous.
If all NCsoft did was change the time on the server to Euro that would help a lot of folks. I think it would be something easy that NCsoft could do to make the player base(about half Europeans) happy.

Merging servers just creates more complications. Not only do we suddenly have to transfer everything over, but we also have to see how many people have characters of the same name. We also create a more crowded environment for players because its bad enough we fight to find a room w/ bots and farmers but with a few thousand extra players its going to be hell.
YOU CAN NOT TRANSFER TO TEON. Simple enough for you to understand? Franz will soon be full too, it is only about 500 connections behind Teon. That means the majority of European players wanting to transfer CAN NOT do so. And what stopped people from leaving when the servers first came? Well, how about their levels, gear, alliances, clans etc. they had accumulated? If you dont like your server becoming an Euro one, why dont you reroll to another one as a lvl 1? Surely you can do that if you're willing to suggest it to others.

However there where a few NA servers that where unoffical Euro servers means a lot europeans choose them.
Changing US time server to euro time is logical because just look at the connections Euro servers have and then look what US time servers have.
So why not change that unoffical euro servers from the past to euro servers now if the demand is that high ?

I can't imagine there won't be shake-ups to servers some time in the future...after account transfer effects settle in.
NCSoft knows more about who pays for what and where they log in from than anyone posting here. They'll make the business decisions in their best interest in the end.

And why not make it the other way around - Make Euro server and allow Euros full account transfer there? For free of course. America claims to be most economically developed country, won't hurt them if they pay for something that Euros get for free :p
In other words: stop making one-sided discriminating suggestions. This game did not even have Euro servers, now it has whooping two. NC did big mistake that they did not realise potential of this game for Europe. If they loose Euro customers now, they loose majority. And they WILL loose them if things stay at current status quo with blocked transfers for 2 anmd only Euro servers. They better do something fast.

Though at launch a lot of euros players started on Lionna, then many rerolled to Teon but some are still there and maybe some of them changed their mind and want to move to an euro server. It is not allowed to change mind?

I play since the last week of open beta. I dont even have a game package because at that time you could not buy L2 in Europe, if you wanted to play you had to purchase a serialcode online from NC. I just did not reg at offical forums back then. Why ? because i did not need to.
For infos i had the prima guide and other stuff i could read here without to register.
Looking on reg dates from this forum and think ppl joined game then is really stupid.
Plus it dont even matter because its fact that only franz is open for transfers and there a lot more ppl franz cant hold of.

Its unfair to change a us server to a European one just like that. However if the demand is there for another European server it makes sense to create one more not only for the transfers but also for the potencial increase in revenue.

This is not a half bad idea! I'm not sure what time (EST time) the sieges are now but for me (on gustin) it is around 3am i think. So sunday sieges is never possible. but with 4-5 hours earlier that could work. I can't see how this would be a problem for american citizens either since it's weekend.

You post most likely got deleted because it was idiotic drivel. NCNA is a company who has got a lisence agreement with a Korean company to market and run its game to a spicific area. It would be with extreme reluctance to give up any part of its market share, expecially one as profitable as the European reigion. There would be a big legal issue if another company tried to setup an L2 server in Europe. And as the license holder for that reigion it has a certain responsibility to those customers, it cannot just say "[censored] you" to all the European customers as you seem to suggest.
Certainly a lot of heated and circular and off-topic debate over a topic that players won't influence.
Companies with a product tend to maneuver that product in their own best interests according to their own best intelligence (guesses/facts if they have them/etc.).
This won't come down to a cultural war or any determination on the 'value of America in the modern world' (lmao). It will come down to business decisions by the company.
For the record, though all of us forget at times, the truth is that political argument is pointless. There is not one single example in the history of mankind of two people arguing opposites of politics and one guy changing to agree with the other. It's never happened and never will.

Honestly its not. Having played on Teon, there are a good chunk of American's playing there. (UFG is alot of American's, as is Qlimax, etc etc)
Same for Franz.
They all went because both those servers are the "newest" and anyone starting when they came out most likely would choose there to at least have a chance at being competitive.
Thats not to say that another Euro server isnt needed. It is, thats for sure. Since alot of Euro's are left out in the cold on Gustin, Hindemith, Dev.

I have briefly read all this thread and I find it very actual for me. If transfer to Teon is closed right now, then Franz have less than 500 vacant connections for thousands of Euro players who are waiting it for years. This means A LOT of Euro players will get a lost instead of transfer. Remember, there are hordes of treasure hunters who plans to speculate on prices difference. Buys some OEd S-weap/gear/boss jewels and take it with yourself when you will jump to Franz. It's just easy money. They want transfers too. =)
Yes, being a Euro, I actively agree with the fact we have great lack of a server representing Euro timezone. This can a completely fresh server (the name of Luna is estimated) or 'adjusted' one (Gustin and Hinde have great percent of Euros in their populations right now) or 'resurrect dead' one (such as Sieg and Erica) - just whatever you can imagine.
You can say that I had to think more on server choice. You can say Teon was online that time etc. Yes, Teon was online that time, but even that time it was totally overloaded. I had a lot of tries and I surrendered. I had no luck even to login. So I've chosen another server with high Euro players population, Hinde. Don't grouse about it, as we want to play and that was only solution to enter retail game somehow. They corrected Teon's login issue only in C4 and SS lags still remain.
1. Launch of a new server representing Euro timezone.
It's just awesome (!) solution. This can fulfill Euro severs demand for some time. :) As we will have server transfers SOON(TM), we can have all the gears we need and some amount of adena. All minor things you can sell, share adena within your chars, then move your valuables to Luna. Btw, word 'luna' in Russian means 'moon'. So this can be special 'moon server' which makes sense. :p
2. Conversation of an old server with high Euro players population.
A worse solution but it's still great. Yes, this can impact old NA players. As I'm not American, I can care on others' senses. :D So they obviously don't like this idea. But, hey, we will have server transfers SOON(TM), so it's not a problem. Just transfer your chars to a better server. This will make game better for all. NA players can group themselves to reach higher density and to add some new efforts to gameplay. Euro players will be happy to get another server with their more or less native timezone. This obviously will make that server very popular and highly loaded. This will attract new players and old players who can't play duo to timezone difference.
3. Ressurection of a 'dead' server.
It's such previous but makes less pain for NA players, some transfer pain for Euro players and transfer fees for NC. :) The result is the same - highly loaded server of Euro players and new/reactivated accounts.
All suggested ways to improve the game for Euros are imaginary. :( Hope we'll get it into the game sometime... :)
As for the grammer errors? I don't see any that are that bad.
Maybe one or two slight grammer errors, but in the context of the post I was replying to it was significantly better.
The whole issue to me is that this is a NA franchise offering and not a European Union (or any of the non-EU countries including Russia) franchise offering.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on EU's. We have alot of EU players in my clan and I love playing with most EU's i've come across, with the exception of those who blindly hate and discriminate against Americans.
I meant to suggest, if you want something changed, do it yourself. Go out and find an investor and get the franchise rights for EU. You'll be more happy in the long run as it seems that NCNA's focus is on NA.
