At this time, players can transfer to any of the ten servers. We will be monitoring the transfers closely to ensure that none of the servers become too overloaded. It's our goal to make sure all of the existing players on each server have the best gaming experience possible. Because of this, we may have to turn off transfers to specific high population servers at any time.
We have also been discussing the possibility of a new European server. I want to stress that there is no guarantee that this server will happen, nor do I have a time table for a server, but I wanted to make sure that those players thinking about transferring know this and can keep this in mind for the future. Once a character is transferred, there is a cool down period before that character can be transferred again. I wish everyone who chooses to use this service happy adventuring in their new home.
What about the answers to all the other questions regarding transfers?
Why not just come out and say that you have no input whatsoever on the mechanics of server transfers and nothing will change because it's all decided by NC Korea? It's not like we don't all know it already. It would just be nice to see it admitted.

Make sure you've created a level 1 character with the same name (or a different name if you wish) on the desired destination server. And also check the rules carefully to make sure you have an eligible character (not in a clan, second class change, etc.)

LOL you talk about a new european server... let Teon and Franz fill up first, then bring that subject into discussion, it only causes confusion and may stop ppl from transfering to franz/teon cuz they want to wait for the new one. (and then you won't make a new one cuz franz and teon aren't full :D)
P.S. Calling the ppl on franz rejects is stupid lol, stay on your dead server then, I don't want too see carebear rejects that PvE'd to 80 with no competion on their server moving to Franz, k?
You propably got no idea about Franz history? Or what reject means... RM moved from Teon to Franz, Invincible moved to Franz and so forth. Plenty of other people left to Franz in order to be the top dawgs, to avoid the tougher competition on their earlier server. And oh man, the botting that took place on Franz... But hey, you're prolly one of the RM puppets.

I imagine quite a few would rather opt for a bottle of Armadale or Patron and a server re-roll, than to shell out $50 for the transfer service. Me? I don't drink for those very reasons. :)
You can drink your bottle of Armadale or Absent, or whatever strikes your fancy, but then you'll end up going to the bathroom and saying good-bye to it in a few hours anyway. I think ppl will get a bit more mileage out of their toons than that.

It was answered on another thread, you can transfer whatever you have equipped it doesnt have to match your grade masteries. So yes a 40 lvl toon can equip and transfer D-C-B-A-S grade

The transfer price: it is forbitten for those who were thinking of 'playing around' so I believe it's okay for those who are serious and are in need of a fresh start and a new home.
I don't think there will be a new Euro server anytime soon, unless they is a lot of moving around and even more people stay behind 'homeless' and start screaming on the fora threatening gods and demons alike.
As for me, I'd love to go to Teon (after all I live in Europe), but I'm not that rich, adena-wise, to leave all my belongings and warehouse mats and parts behind to start anew.

I think you should reconsider. The list is needed for the exact same reason a name change list is necessary. People might like to know the origins of someone before inviting then into their clan. It would be helpful to know that "xqstsyksa" from Erica is now "LegitName" on Bartz.
I only hope Teon stays so long open til i transfer i'm stucked as clan leader til next tuesday...

It woudnt let me purchase a transfer on the accounts even though I'm paying with the exact same CC card. (Using it for 3 accounts.. wife's, buffer, and mine.)

I know the limit on item and adena transfers is to prevent abuse and lessen the impact on the economy, but I think it's going to have the opposite effect. There's going to be a huge demand to replace equipment on the servers that most people move to, prices on items and mats will soar to new record hights. On the smaller servers mats and items will overflow the market and the economy will crash.

I believe it won't be as bad as it seems. Sure there will be an influx of people needing to replace gear, but then there will be dwarfs like me and others willing to step up to the demand. Eventually it will even itself out and return to normal. See? I can make general assumptions too.

There 's an easy solution, NCNA should have copied korea, china, taiwan etc and merged their servers first. But instead we have server transfers first which forces people thinking their server will die to transfer in large numbers. NC totally mess up the server economies to make more $$$ on transfers. Hopefully, they will have the sense to realize that server merges will be needed anyway after this catastrophy.
Im glad they made it 50 bucks to transfer characters. They made it easy for me to decide not to move my glad from teon. Oh well it's good in the long run since I dont have enough playing time to lvl 2 60+ toons on 1 account.
Teon and franz have been red for the last few nights. I can imagine log wait times here soon on those servers. Looking forward to prices going down on Devianne.

The Level 1 character that is reserving your place and name on your desired server, and everything associated with it (items, Adena, etc.) will be deleted once the server transfer process is complete.
So looks like it would be no. The lvl 1 toon is only a place holder and name reservation. The toon you transfer will be there when the tranfer is complete exactly as it was when it left it's previous server.

All I can say is, that if you server transfer, remember to immediatly reserve the names of your character on your old server. Good idea for many reasons.
I realize we have caps on Adena, depending on level. However, what about Ancient Adena and Seal Stones? The closest reference i can find is "Non-transferrable: Olympiad points, Noblesse Gate Passes, Hero Status, and SSQ information. (Deposited seal stones must be withdrawn or they will be deleted.)"
Does this mean the GSS must be removed from the account/placed on a toon that isnt moving...or does it mean the AA value of them must be withdrawn from the dawn/dusk npc cuz only AA, not GSS, can be transferred?

make devianne an european server
facts:
the mayority of the players are from europe (estimated 70%)
cons:
- na players might feel berayed because they choose dev because of its timezone
- technical difficulties ?
pros:
- better event/olympiad/siege times for the mayority of the player community
- takes away load from heavy populated teon/franz
- may attrackt new players from the european countries
suggestion:
- allow players full swich to a na timed server for free during a certain time period
- allow players from other na servers to do a full swich
why is this better then a new european server:
according to surveys some of the servers are less then half populated alreaddy. if you open a european server dragging europeans from the existing na servers this problem will only worsen.

Hero status has been reset a few times by a glitch already so I do think they could reset it manually too. After all, they returned the hero status to those who lost it. This all falls to NCSoft and how much they actually care.

I say a big no - if you can not plan for something then why should we help you out. They said that server transfers were comming back in Dec 2007 - you should have jumped on any plans you had back then and be ready for any changes.

I'd only agree with this idea if I can have free carte blanche server transfer privileges and no limitations on what I can transfer and how often I can transfer on the same account. I have way too many toons on Devianne to pay $50 for all of them, and if I can only transfer once every 6 months, it would take me well into the next decade. That would work contrary to my interests.

That seems like it would work, the lvl 1 is just a place holder anyway. Seems to me that if you can make a toon on a server then you would be able to transfer there. Then again they could be tracking transfers by lvl and close a server so it doesn't get to top heavy.
Just let the current heroes buy the service and transfer them at the end of the month when they will no longer be heroes.

you can transfer one char per game account per week. After a char has been transfered you gotta wait 6 months if you want to re-transfer that same char.
Grrrr 1 char per game account per week means you can transfer 4 chars from one game account in 4 weeks.
And I stress again, game account not plaync master account. If you have 2 game accounts under the same plaync master account you can move one toon from each game account each week.
The six months wait period applies *after* you have moved to the new server and only to the toon that has been moved.

As long as you're out of your clan when you make the server transfer purchase, and then on Tuesday when the transfer is executed, you should be fine. :)
P.S. If you do join your clan again for the weekend siege period, please make sure you remove yourself again and set your character to its highest level before Tuesday!

lol pet equipment market? they are not craft only, not dropable anymore and not enchantable, the only real difference in price is the tax for gemstones during upgrade you'd have to be new and clueless to buy it rather then upgrading yourself. I just find it annoying that im going to have to buy new gear for a pet when i transfer it over and probably end up npc'n the gear on the old server :( just a big waste of adena.

$50.00...honestly I find it a bit too much for just a server change..especially since it comes with some disadvantages..I was thinking about making a server change but I think it ain't worth it for 50 bucks..
Well I can understand the price. They need to make it expensive to discourage people from doing constant server transfers with different characters for profit (e.g. transferring adena or asked-for items between servers to sell for rl money). If you have to pay $50 each time, it cuts into the profit and does not make it interesting anymore. On the other hand, if you are a real player and unhappy on your current server, paying $50 one time to have more fun for the next year or so is still worth it. Even if you maybe have to pay another $50 to move a mule, too.

Even if the server not cloosed for good... whats with the hero who bouth the Transfer, need to wait (even if dosent make sense),Server closed ,now sitting "alone" on a server and allready paid the Transfer?

I hate to do a *bump* but it's been a few days. Curious if there has been any update on this? Seeing as the program was delivered to us in the middle of the month without any real warning or set release day (as to plan ahead...) it seems only fair NC offer us a chance to enjoy the new service with our friends. :)
It seems to me that if you were able to create a level 1 toon on the intended server, that there is a reserved spot there for you... Or are they saying that you couldn't log that toon on and play??? I don't think so!!
So... Is that limitation only for the month from a day of payment or my CC will be marked unproper to pay at ncsoft forever? I heard different versions. I don't pay monthly account fee with CC, I use time cards if this fact is significant... :confused:
i never applied a credit card to my accounts. i get boxes, i they put a time card inside. then i used to pay with game time cards. hm... do i understand correct that i can use my credit card again once transfer of first 3 toons is complete?
Just an FYI for those curious, a friend of mine submitted an in-game petition regarding the Hero Status Removal, they didn't reply to the petition but today received an email saying their hero status was removed so they can transfer, and it was, the glow is gone.
Same happens on a ohter server... a Hero just lost his Hero Status after a petition.
So think the ppl need to make Petition to ask for removing Hero Status or hope all status form ppl will be deleting in the next maintenence.
Why open another server?
Just move some of the dead ones to Europe and wipe it :)
Besides, with the current NCsoft politics, the new server will be botted 90% of it's population.

I am one more of the ppl stuck on Lionna...
The situation is so frustrating thinking at how wrong and how unfair NCsoft handled the transfers.
First of all, they announce that transfer services will be launched towards the end of the month setting Teon as unavailable for transfer in the beginning. Seeing Teon unavailable many ppl willing to join Teon didnt rush with changing leadership in the clan, of course when you have one of the major clans on the server, as Maurin said, its not easy to have the clan leadership on an alt, when you have to access the clan warehouse and sign-up for fortress sieges etc hundred times a day.
NCsoft announced server transfers on Wednesday, setting all transfers available. As it was obvious many ppl who wanted to transfer started selling out all their extra gear to be ready for transfer. The people who wanted to transfer to Teon or Franz and still were clan leaders had to transfer the clan leadership delaying them one week and when they asked for a "quick restart" on weekend or monday, so that they could transfer they were told by GM that there was no reason to worry, cause there was no chance they would turn some server unavailble for transfer from the first week. These rumours spread and since no server was to be closed from the first week some people transfered leaving their clan leader back who would transfer the following week or some others decided to stay and move with their leader.
Tuesday came..3hour maintainance announced, many people, including ex-leaders were getting ready to apply for transfer just as the servers would come up. I personally had just bought my ticket for transfer and before i could enable it, Teon turned unavailable lol. Many more people have paid for the service ticket, not being able to use it. Anyway, after a 14h (?) downtime, servers come up, you cannot transfer to the 2 srvs most european ppl wish to go. Many clans who wanted to transfer got split, with their clan leader and more members left behind. Is this the way NC cares about the costumers? LineageII is a multiplayer game. You get split with your friends and the game is done for you. The ppl left back to their servers, in my case Lionna, are left behind on a dead srv, with 1500 ppl online, 1000 of them being bots, 250 shops, 200 neutrals and the rest 50 people who are into politics with nothing interesting to do on their server except running around the market. I am pretty sure the situation on many more servers is similar.
Anyway concluding most european people all they wish for is transfering to a server with low ping and more friendly timezones. Playing with 300 ping and sieging at 4am is not fun anymore. Also i highly doubt a new server would be a good solution, a new server would get overcrowded by bots, market being in bad shape! NC should just ban all those bots running around on Teon and Franz, many spots for actual spots would occur and trust me thats the way to care about your costumers and make sure they have the best game experience. All this confusion started just cause NC didnt handle the launch of the service on the best possible way and didnt announce it on time so it could lets people get ready for it, turning it unfair towards some people.
Above poster: you have so many good points, but in the end, nothing really matters, cause nc does'nt care.

Was waiting for a long time the transfert but even if the price is high I cannot do it right now.

The inventory isn't transfered.
Great isn't it ? Especially when you spent years to boost and over enchant weapons and gears.
I cannot sell it to loose it for few adenas I'm limited to and cannot take a HIGH risk to be the victim of overprices on the new server I wanted to go.
I'm very disappointed.
Think I'm not the only one who is trapped.
I will wait for a change into the transfert stuff if NC SOFT planed to do it later.
to transfer more, there's some ways.
1. ask a friend who paid for transfer, to deliver some stuff for you. this is good idea if he/she has some boxed support char without valuable gear.
2. use your own supports as mules.
3. make fast a number of 40+ alts and use them as mules.
any way, you need purchase more transfer if you want take more with you. :|
they announced 3 hours downtime last time. now it is 4 hours. extend last time downtime by same ratio and you can get estimation of todays downtime. :)

yeah, the guy who supports that tool has some difficulties relating his ISP. when he lose the connection his test character with the server, there is a fall in the chart.

i have been waiting few days now to try get my toon transfered from lionna to franz, there is a list showing server status for transfer franz isnt availble, so my question is this list updated live or not ? (franz is normal most of the time didnt see it heavy for a moment now)
my other question is if franz closed for transfer and ill be open again, is it matter of days, or months?
since i check the list update only when im back from work im worried to miss the time franz is availble again or come too late, so would be cool to post announcement when one of the closed servers ill be availble "date" so at least ppl can get ready

As i have seen from your posts alyra u say that u monitoring Teon and Franz i ve been monitoring too the population mostly of teon i believe even more than u and i would like to let you know that Teon is like -12% population from the 1st time u opened teon from transfer which means that Teon has at momemt max population during yesterdays siege 5,1k ppl and during week days 4,8k ppl. 1st time u opened teon for transfer teon had like 5,6k max population and after 1 week max was 5,9k. According to this numbers and taking in consideration that your are monitoring the population of servers cause u "care" about your customers i expect or maybe i could say I DEMAND from you to open teon again for transfers tomorrow after downtime.
And for ppl that want to transfer to franz situation is same but more easier franz max population last 10 days is like 4,5k ppl which means 75% capacity and in weekdays like 60% capaciy.
So to finish this open teon and franz so all ppl can have fun and enjoy the game cause this r the ppl that PAYS you.

you won't have teon/franz reopened. teon is back to 100% heavy load and franz is heavy load from like 17.00msk to 02.00msk every day, the most l2 friendly time over here. but this is still very strange as franz's online recoiled back to before transfers times.
fact is that a lot of the banned farmers are back in the low level xp areas botting up new chars which is why the numbers went up again to almost pre ban on the popular servers but even then none of the servers hit 100% capacity..
anyways I would like to know more on when we can expect to see Luna opened and with what kind of transfer rules :)

So downtime passed and still no answer or any update on when u ll open Teon or Franz i have 2 very importand question for u Alyra that has to do on how much you care about your customers.

Btw Mr i know everything answer me a simple question why they dont open Teon since the 1st time they opened him for transfers Teon was at 95% of his capacity and now that Teon is at 85% or less they dont open Teon for transfers.
Edit : when i speak i dont speak only for myself i speak for around 50 of my clan members that waited for me to transfer leadership so we transfer next week all together after alyra said that Teon isnt gonna close from 1st week.

But the information on the unuseable froms was incorrect. Was NCSoft in error letting players see the forms early? Maybe but its like taking a walkthrough of an unfinished house and expecting to see the finshed product.
As for being leader of the clan, who really cares who the leader is. If that really matered then there wouldn't be alt clans taking over castles for the main clan that doesn't have one. The only thing that matters about clan leadership is the clan skills they he might get over the peons in the clan.
For you demanding of answers you should think for a moment but what you are asking. You are asking for an offical response. And if one is given they are bound to it a little. Right now Teon will open again in the future. If Aylra or anyone else gives a different time frame and its not held they coudl be in trouble. okie for your 1st paragraph the answer is that in the OFFCIAL site of LINEAGE2.COM when u logged in your account teon was setted as unvailiable for transfer it wasnt my personal forum or a guy that told me at work. also it was ALYRA that said to a clan leader like me in pms that Teon wont be closed from 1st week and this pm has been posted here so it wasnt some random guys saying rumors it was nc's official site and a GM.

What some player did was tried to jump the gun and see what kind of hoops they would have to jump thru to do a transfer. And its these people that reported that Teon was closed. But the information on the unuseable froms was incorrect. Was NCSoft in error letting players see the forms early? Maybe but its like taking a walkthrough of an unfinished house and expecting to see the finshed product.
As for being leader of the clan, who really cares who the leader is. If that really matered then there wouldn't be alt clans taking over castles for the main clan that doesn't have one. The only thing that matters about clan leadership is the clan skills they he might get over the peons in the clan.
For you demanding of answers you should think for a moment but what you are asking. You are asking for an offical response. And if one is given they are bound to it a little. Right now Teon will open again in the future. If Aylra or anyone else gives a different time frame and its not held they coudl be in trouble. I think they aren't asnwering you because that the current answer thay have previously given of being opened in the furture is the most acccurate. It appears they did a mass ban but they want to see if the boats come back to prvious numbers or if they could find a way to keep them down. imo
So my advise to you is get your clan leadership in order get your inventories down and be ready to trnasfer whenever they announce to opening of Teon.
okie for your 1st paragraph the answer is that in the OFFCIAL site of LINEAGE2.COM when u logged in your account teon was setted as unvailiable for transfer it wasnt my personal forum or a guy that told me at work. also it was ALYRA that said to a clan leader like me in pms that Teon wont be closed from 1st week and this pm has been posted here so it wasnt some random guys saying rumors it was nc's official site and a GM.
The official page you are reffering to was offering a service that wasn't launched yet. So lets use a different analogy. Its like you go to a store that is closed and see on a shelf that they are sold out of a product so you don't go back and try to buy that product when the store is opened. Evnthough they might have restocked that item after you left and before they opened. As far as Alyra, not knowing the shear volume of players transferring to Teon, made a statement in pms that Teon should remain open. But as it always was stated in the transfer notes servers could become unavailable. Time for another analogy. If you go to a store and see someting on sale but cant buy it right then you run home get your money but when you return its sold out. You go to the sales cleark and ask for a rain check so youcould buy that item when it is in stock. If they give you one cool if not you missed the sale and tough luck. In this case they offered you a raincheck in the from of the statement server wil eventually become available.
For your 2nd paragraph when u have a top clan pvp oriented and u own a castle u cant RECREST WITH A LVL 1 toon its not about the clan skills
OK you are saying that you care who are the castle owners after you have leave the sever? Heck you even have to drop tag to leave the sever so you where going to lose that castle any way. And are you saying that you only have 1 high level toon on your aqccount? any even mid 60 dwarf will do if you are the top clan could hold the castle while awaiting transfers.
For your 3rd paragraph i am not asking ncsoft to tell me exact day i want an answer that might be "we r curently working on making Teon and Franz again availiable for transfer by upgrading the hardware of the server bla bla bla and very soon we will let you know when we will open those 2 server again for transfers.
.NCCSoft already gave you you answer several pages ago. No timeline but Teon will reopen after an evaluation. If you hadn't notice the population on Teon is going back to the level before transfers. So the soon might be longer than anyone might think
IMO, regardless of the official words.. the clan leaders/heroes that were prevented from going because of the timing of the announcement and the closing of Teon and Franz, they should be allowed to go... an exception in these special cases is what makes a company a good one. We aren't talking about 1000s of people. We are probably talking about less than 100. That is not going to overload any server.
Across-the-board rules always defeat the purpose of dealing with customers and establishing good customer relations. (yes, yes, I know NCSoft fails miserably at this)
On the other hand, looking at things from an empirical view and not being a fatalist, usually things always happen for the best.... even though we don't know it, and waiting to see how in this case that is so, may be the way to deal with it.

Noone Asked you for your advice or noone here needs your advices. We just want an announcement thats all.Its been 2 weeks that Everyone ignoring us and as a Customer i want to get an answer from any stuff member .Even if its the same answer as before , its good to see someone working on it,someone actually care for its customers. I got tired of getting Auto Answers and mailing with Bots ...also NC soft's Support is pretty weak compare to the other MMORG's , sad but true.Lineage is bleeding for a long time and eventually its going to die, if they dont change that mentality.
ok krack i ll explain u with the examples u gave me so :
one day i went to a store to buy something the store was closed and i checked from the window and i saw that the store didnt have what i wanted. i went again when the store opened and i saw that they restocked what i wanted to buy i go buy it and the manger says to me ALL CAN BUY THIS PRODUCT EXEPT YOU (cause u r leader) u can buy it this tuesday tho that we will still have it. i leave the store and i went back on tuesday 1st second that store opened and the manager said to me I AM SO SORRY BUT THIS PRODUCT FINISHED AND WE DUNNO WHEN WE WILL BRING IT BACK. Got it now? or u need more stories.
About leadership i transfered leadership as soon as the store opened and had the product i wanted to buy BUT read above story u can understand for yourself ( i hope u will).

If I read that announcement with the "Server Transfer Perception Grid" it might as well be for 2012.
(Xfers were announced in 2004. I know. I was there.)
a clever move by NC that would provide much more $$$ than the current situation could be the following:
since many europeans in their majority, are stuck in deserted US servers, waiting for the day that either Teon/Franz will be available for transfers, or the new Euro server goes live and assuming that it will be open for transfers (which is nothing more than speculations) and only 1 US server, Bartz, has decent population, and maybe Devianne is not-so-dead-YET.
NC could at least give an ETA, quite far from present day on the re-oppening of 2 existing euros and the creation of the new one and in the meantime, players could transfer to US high/mid population servers JUST TO HAVE SOME FUN!
because now, playing an MMORPG with ~ 500 connections at peak hours and considering half of them are soulless, is not fun anymore. its not even MMORPG but just an ORPG. its like forced labor to login, have nothing to do, logoff out of boredom, thinking twice about logging in again next day and so on.
i m not proposing anything of the above to be free. normal charges as they are now of course.
i know i d pay twice for a transfer that would provide me some fun cause i really love this game until now but the last few weeks are really annoying and i know that this situation is making lots of devoted players reconsider their opinions.
the reason of this long and probably unnessecary post is that the unhappy-til-now player base, will have an alternative option to either move to a better server than the one they re stuck, for a certain period of time or stay by their own will and wait as they are now.
all that matters in games is to have FUN!
