Props to NCsoft for not killing discourse

Threads get locked all the time. A lot of them need to be locked simply because the discussion gets cyclical and becomes, for lack of a better term, ******ed. I have seen some threads recently that could have been locked or even deleted by...people with less confidence. The folks at NCsoft who mod the boards have let them live and continue.

I appreciate that.

I know that sounds like a small compliment but just like a lot of things the action, or I guess in this case inaction, on the part of NCsoft speaks for itself. They let the threads develop and I thought that was cool. So thanks again for not getting all Gestapo on us as a less secure company might have.

Praise be to Allah.

say what?
Ok I tried

1. There were some threads I was interested in.

2. They didn't get locked or deleted.

3. I thanked NCsoft for letting them continue.

no mohammad is, allah is the Admin.
I thought Mohammad was a PP.
Boards moderators aren't strict enough. Flame threads should be deletted instead of just locking. Bad posts should be deletted too. Why to keep all trashtalk in forum? I don't like it.
Despite all the flaming some good things do come out of the threads. But sometimes no amount of CPR can bring a thread back to life and it just has to be shot and buried.

Why struggle with all the creative writing and not just say this (the above) to begin with?
Long winded people are destined to become politicians or lawyers. :D

Because that way you (and some others who respond) could not get post++ :p
I hated the last community manager we had, w/e her name was (I'll always think of her as the "Forum ****".)

IMO, Alyra is the best community manager we've ever had and is the best thing to L2 NA since it was released. I've seen tons of improvement on the forums, the staff is being a lot more open and communicating w/ the community (like before CT1, they gave interviews at quite a few game or fan sites! Before Alyra, that never happened! They never talked to us, never responded to our questions...) We've had a lot more events (OK, maybe not recently... but before CT1 and all the account services we were getting events pretty regularly.) We've seen a lot of free trials over the past 6 months, bringing new players into the game. And on and on and on.

They should have hired Alyra way back in Prelude! Maybe the game wouldn't be in the state it's in today if she'd been around. :)
I suggest we turn this into I LOVE YOU ALYRA thread.
Alyra is my cup of tea, too -- although she seems quite fond of Blotter. LOL
<3 Alyra
Alyra is the "butter" in my peanut butter n' jelly!
Alyra is the current CM.

End of story
(She gets no love nor hate from me as she is just the CM, simple.)
cry more?

:)

Yes - there seems to be a "don't ask, don't tell" policy on the boards the past few months...
