No server transfers anymore to Teon and Franz after this maintenance. Must really suck if you're the clan leader and could not transfer this time, but all your friends already did...

The ppl who couldnt move because of money (not everyone could afford 30€ or 50$ in the middle of the month), clans who still got alot of adena (for still selling items, clanhall and so on) who wanted to move later on or ppl who want to move anohter char from the same account cannot move anymore.
And the best thing is the new EU server who come ALOT to late and the ppl who payed need now to wait for **** 6 month... are you serious????

Yeah, doubt NCSoft NA will break from the official names. Back when Franz came up I used to joke about going to Luna instead, seems like now that can be a reality, hehehe.

Well, it was to be expected. So many euro players, only two euro servers (so far). There should have been a new euro server a long time ago...
And now with the lvl gap penalty we so needed in game . making a toon on the server your clan just transfered to and having it power lvled up to be able to play with the clan again isn't an option :) guesse they need to find a new clan leader or waste thier money transfering back to the old server since they lost a valuable member of the team .

Hence why i said just merge the servers on other posts or to those that want the whole clan to stay together don't transfer or transfer to a dead server ,just my 2 American pennies worth.
A new Euro server. It's so shaking. It's time to finish things and get last skills, sell unnecessary stuff, pack the bag and move on. Luna, I can't wait for you! :)
doubt it, it will end up being another NA (lowest populated) server being transfered to EU
It really makes no matter whatever it will be. If they kill some completely dead NA server (sieghardt is good candidate) and reborn it as EU server. Or this will be Luna. Really it makes no matter. It will be EU server which I can play from my home without feeling of inferiority just everytime I talk to manor/siege NPCs.:p

1. Peoply would have choosen the new EU server instead of Franz or Teon
2. People cant transfer anymore ohter chars from the same account who should be possible... you can just login one character from one account.
3. What should the players do now if they wasnt able to do the transfer now (middle month, no money and so on) but most ohter clanmember?
4. What should do now Clanleader who couldnt Transfer because they still the leader status?
Saves money and thing's to just do it to gustin like the players there are suggesting. cuz with server transfers now why make a new server when it would be cheaper and easier to just take a dead NA one and convert it. lol but then all those that left it get to cry that thier old server was just converted "the one that thier clan leader got stranded on " so in turn he or she gets what they wanted with the euro server and the others now have to transfer back cuz they were impatient.

The main question for me is the timezone. I have GMT+3/+4 timezone, it is +2 hours from GMT+1/+2 (which is CET = Central European Time actually). I have ping of 120/180 to 'pure NA' servers. So it's not a big problem if new server location is NA for the firs time. I really don't know how you play L2 from Australia... I'm afraid if you have ping of 300+. T_T
oh u guys come on!!!! the euro servers were already nearly full how could u not expect this?!?! they say the new server will come some time this year we're only in febuary just suck it up and get the [censored] on with it stop crying over stuff u cant change. atleast they are trying to make things work for everyone. not everything can be done over night ffs. give them some [censored] credit.

I don't see the point of starting a new server when five of the available ones are **** near dead, and probably will be ghost towns after this billion hour downtime for transfers.

I manage fine, get about 240ms, just gotta click/do actions a second or so ahead of time d;) A little annoying with targetting sometimes but its the way its always been for me and it certainly isnt unplayable.

Same here I had a ping of around 240 to Lionna and played fine, but lately the ping has doubled for some reason, but even with the new ping of 475 it's not unplayable.
They are not going to make a NA server a EU server. There will be a big problem there with NA players on that server. I do however see the need for another EU server. I would however bet they will not allow transfers to it for atleast the first 6 months.
I defenatly see server mergers of NA servers in the future though.
What I am curious about is are the two Euro servers popular because their Euro, or because they are the newest? You have a mix on both of NA/Euro players after all so It makes you wonder if it's all about getting a "fresh start" or what.
Seasoned players like to be able to help shape a server. If they didn't get that oportunity on their current ones (due to transfers, inactivity, or just starting) then jumping to a fresh new one is always tempting.
There are about as many players in Europe than US but only 2 euro servers for 8 US servers. And yes there are plenty US players on Euro servers but there are also Euro players (me at least^^) on US servers.
The new Euro server will be open to new transefers. Just read the NC anouncment. Teon and Franz are full and they "also understand the need and desire for our European players to be able to play on a European server". That simply means that they cannot meet the demand for tranfer to European servers since Teon and Franz maxed out. HELLO NC. The community has been saying this for so long, did you just woke up? NC is caught unready one more time. Don't they know the real server situation? That there are some NA servers that have over 65% Euro population? At least Devianne is like that and I remember reading the same for at least one more server.
Bottomline: The number of servers now are 80% NA and 20% Euro while the server population isn't. They had the facts (pure statistics) and they ignored them for quite some time. NC once more got self-pawned on the marketing arena.

There is a (pretty big) NCSoft office in Brighton, UK ... The 2 current euro servers are homed in Germany
i think it's more easy to take an existing serveur with NA time and transform it in euro time than open a new server with lots of xfer on it, BUT, NCSoft will earn more money to open a new server with lots of xfer on it :/

my reasoning in short:
making a new european server instead of converting an existing server will pull so many ppl from these "old" servers that they will becom inattractive anyway...
all the good reasons for a new server: "blank state", "same base for all clans that start there" are perfect reasons to suck existing servers dry of their european population and that in term will make nc loose more money then everything else imho
