i've been away for a year and now im coming back. I was wondering if Bartz is still the best server?
A buddy and I went over to Kain for a few minutes (He's working on transferring a chr).
We laughed at their market. Not only does Kain have 3/4 less shops then Bartz; Less over all craft shops, buy shops, sell shops. Their prices are just unheard of! They want almost double the price for items there; then on Bartz. IE: drac light MA 700m, on bartz 350m (give or take).
Also alot of the major clans from other servers just transfered in their mains to Bartz, and are in the process of being pulled into the major allies: ICA, catylest (SP), (enmity is back), livinglegends, little pigs (lionna), I hear that FoB from Erica is planing to switch to bartz soon.
Bartz just seems like the place to be if you want to be some body (not every one agrees with this statement!!). :D

HAH! have you seen what has happened to the prices since the transfers? don't make me laugh. my clan was seriously considering transferring off to another server BECAUSE the prices there would be a lot cheaper than they are on bartz now. only thing keeping us still here is the fact that other servers are simply too empty.
if ure refaring to the s crystal etc its just logical, no mammon + many new players = high s crystal costs, ... supply and demand my friend ^^

Give it a month orso though and it will calm down.
Till then Bartz is officially a warzone. Invasion force is coming, ecenomies will crash, XP zones littered with dead bodies waiting for rez....... it's gonna be fun! :)

But remember 100 orso charecters leaving the server with the adena they made from selling such gear, taking on average 400mil each meaning 40billion+ leaving server and gear staying.
with the negative flow of cash compared to influx of items and less demand for said items prices are due to drop by alot.

Things are still lively on Hinde. With server transfers in place I would consider Bartz, Franz, and Teon end game servers. If you're new you will want to grow and should pick some of the smaller servers where you can xp with relative ease. Later you can transfer.
I'm Euro but I had some thought about switching to Bartz as Teon/Franz are closed after one week of transfers. If they would not announced launch of Luna, I definitely switch to Bartz. Now I'm waiting for Luna...
there is no "best server" since how good it is comes down to user preference, But Bartz is definitely the most popular NA server.
Exactly. Being "best" in regards to what? Population? Friendliness?
I think (and correct me if I am wrong on this) best means "most fun to play on". But there seems to be an interesting connection with server population and "fun". Probably because more people = more PvP opportunities and lower prices.
High population seems to promote a certain balance too -- I mean, if there are many people and they are all fighting amongst themselves there's much less opportunity for a single clan to take control and abuse that position. And of course that abusive position just isn't fun, it's too allowing for the winning side and not allowing enough for the losing side :P
There should always be a healthy amount of combat that allow for wins and losses of all parties.
Yeah FoB and the Iegacy lap dogs are leaving all of the Erica carebears behind and coming to Bartz.
I'm sure there will be a bevy of other undesirables coming as well.
I used to be one of those people that laughed at the claims Bartz was the best server. I still stick by that because that was a long time ago when other servers including my own were quite active.
Right now though, I'd say Bartz is easily the best server out of the 10. Franz I consider to be a joke after stories I constantly hear from friends who moved there a long time ago and I did think Teon would have been a really good server to be on until recently when I heard from quite a lot of people that they use some aim **** tool to target for them in pvp and that they rarely find pvp during regular playtimes (they do apparently have quite a lot of enemies there too btw).
The rest of the servers are dead and the best of most of the other servers are now on Bartz, competition levels are high whcih includes all kinds of sieges, population is high, pvp is rampant most times of the day. There are enough people to support regular xp parties in clans.
The only bad thing right now is that the economy went to [censored] a little bit but that was to be expected with the large influx of people. I'd expect this to settle back down after a while though.

As far as the economy is concerned. It will deflate after today. All those that wanted to come to bartz are here now. There will still be people coming in, but for the most part all those that wanted to be here are here now, and the big droves are done for.
So I'd expect to see the market start to deflate over the next 3 weeks, and stabilize. With a new event in the works soon to start, We'll see prices drop as more items are put into the market.
Most that needed gear; has that gear, some stuff is still hot, however things will cool off soon! :D
