Vault: Sieges

The server transfers poll has closed with results leaning towards the negative side. I'd say this mostly reflects how many are tending to move away from middle servers towards select ones (i.e. many have moved to Bartz, Teon, Franz).

This week's poll (http://l2vault.ign.com/) will be something for the Vault Network's art team. They need to know which wallpaper resolutions are most popular. Help them out and send in your vote(s).

For Hot or Not this week, I'd like to focus on sieges: Castle sieges are one of the aspects of Lineage II that enchanted many of us to try the game out. Aspiring clans build their power with the hopes of some day ruling over a castle. Clan drama and PVP culminate in those moments that they can fight each other on the field on a mass scale.

What do you think of today's sieges? Are they better than ever? Would you say you play the game FOR sieges? Or have they begun to get boring?

Let us know.
On a personal level I can say that (Devianne) sieges have stagnated. But to be honest this isn't new. They seem to go in cycles and when you might think there will never be a fun siege again... it happens, and not necessarily planned but a spontaenous joining of forces of clans against an common enemy perhaps. (such an event may be in it's earliest form even now)

There's usually a good balance between both sides when the siege is at it's best. Then it feels like it's a challenge, but not that you're getting rolled (who likes to get rolled after all?). Even if you end up losing in that kind of siege, you feel great.

I usually end up walking away from sieges pumped up with adrenaline too :p
